Had to book about 3 months in advance, but they did excellent work and they were a pleasure to interact with. The price was competitive with other quotes.

We used this company to build our deck in 2012. We were extremely satisfied with our experience then, and this project was no different. Bryan and John were both extremely responsive, and our decks look excellent. We plan on using Deckbuilders for years to come.

I received three bids and the Deckbuilders was the best. The crew was professional and exceeded my expectations. The wood products used by Deckbuilders are premium. Job well done.

Work was fast and very professional. The quality of the construction is so much better than what we had before...so much more structurally sound. Brian, Paul and the rest of the team were a pleasure to work with. Our neighbors are raving about how nice it looks, too. They won't be the cheapest bid you get, but no one else will give you the quality craftsmanship that they provide. I know we'll enjoy this for many years to come. We're happy to recommend them.

We had gotten 3 estimates to have our old wooden deck torn down and a new composite deck built. We were impressed with Brian Snider's suggestions as to the new layout, his knowledge and expertise and his price. He answered the many questions we had, unlike another builder who was eager to book the job but refused to answer my questions as to why his quote was double Deckbuilder"s quote. The workers were consistently prompt, courteous and professional. They tore down the old deck quickly and hauled away all debris. Once they began work for the day they worked til the task at hand was completed. There was good communication with the workers and Brian throughout the process. I initially wanted stadium steps as we had them with the previous deck. Brian suggested ways we could improve our space and I'm so glad we took his advice. Our deck is 16 x 20 and has the look and feel we were hoping for. The quality of the work done is excellent and the finished product far exceeded our expectations. We absolutely love our new deck and highly recommend Deckbuilders.

Brian met with me very quickly to provide an estimate and take measurements for the job. However, due to their busy work schedule, it would be three months before work could start. When the day came, though, the pergola was completed beautifully with a few hours. Very pleased with the results.

Brian was very responsive to all emails and phone calls. The crew showed up on time, worked hard, and did not leave a mess. Our new deck is beautiful, and we have enjoyed using it this summer. I only wish they had asked which outlet on the deck I would've preferred to install the light box that controls the deck lighting. We have two, and I would've picked the other one as it would've been less visible. Overall, we are very satisfied with our deck. We had two guys from Deckbuilders come back and stain the deck last week. They worked all day, didn't rush, and the results are fantastic.

Brian was very professional on his quote interview. The workers were polite, prompt and courteous! I have never had a set of workers who were so professional. They stayed on task and did the job swiftly and promptly. The builders were professional and careful with wires, flowers, furniture etc. I would highly recommend them! The end product was very beautiful! They build a great deck! I would definitely use them again!

Brian and his crew are exceptional to work with. I couldn't be more pleased with their work. In fact, they exceeded my expectations. If you are looking to build a new deck, quit looking elsewhere, Brian and his crew will get the job done right. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to family or friends. I would also recommend using Ipe wood, it's absolutely beautiful.

We and a very old and somewhat dangerous deck replaced. They removed and hauled away the old deck, replaced it with a new one that was up to code for safety, and added accent/security lights.

We had such a great experience with Deckbuilders. ?We actually contacted them last year for a quote and after looking through their website, we found so many options. ?Each time I had a question about an option/change and the cost, Brian (the owner) was very prompt and responded either by text or by email. ?In the end, we just couldn't do it last year and when I contacted him this spring, I was very happy to find out the quote would be the exact same as he had supplied last year. ?We did have to wait about 9 weeks for our deck to be done, but it was well worth the wait. ? Again, Brian was very quick to answer our questions and we had gone back and forth so much over the last year that when he came out to meet us and go over the details, it only took about 10 minutes. ?I did ask him to move our stairs and he suggested a different location for the stairs which has worked out even better than I thought it would. ? We didn't see them when they tore down the old deck since we were at work, but they cleaned up the entire area and also placed boards in front of the doors so nobody would accidentally walk outside. ?Brian called me later that night to make sure I was happy with the yard, and make sure nothing was in our way. ?They did leave some supplies in our side yard overnight but it was very neat, clean, and organized so it really wasn't a problem. ? The crew was incredibly professional, dressed in matching shirts with the company logo?(which is actually very important and impressive to me) and were all very friendly to myself and my toddler who was very excited to see all the work going on. ?The guys were here at 7:00 am just as Brian said they would be. ?All the supplies were delivered shortly thereafter and the delivery guy and 4 workers made sure not to block the road since it was school bus pickup time in our area. ?Brian chatted with me for a few minutes, made sure we were happy with the plan, and started working right away. ? We left for work and school and when I texted Brian at noon for pictures he told me I was to late and they were already on their way to the next job. ?When I came home, I was so very happy with the professional job they had done. ?It is a basic deck, but it has more rails and top sections than our old deck and feel so very much more solid. ?They had so many inexpensive upgrade options as well that it was just a wonderful experience. ?We had quotes from 3 other places, and this was the median quote, but the quality of the decks on their website blew away the competition. ?I would highly recommend Deckbuilders to anyone. ?

From the get-go, Brian was always very responsive. I don't find this often in a contractor, and is a huge plus in my book. After the initial meeting to go over the deck project, I received a very detailed line-by-line estimate. This was another huge plus, as I was able to quickly gain an understanding that we were on the same page of what the final product would entail. This has been one of the best detailed estimate for a project that I've received. It took about 2 months to start the project, as they had many other projects to complete first, and it was at the beginning of summer, which I imagine is a busy time for outdoor contractors. Though once they started, it went up very quick. The team was always very curteous. If I had questions on a particular detail, Brian always responded back very quickly. The completed deck is quite beautfiul! We enjoy our backyard much more often now, and I wish I found Deckbuilders earlier to have had this deck a year or so earlier. But it is here now, and I'm thrilled with it! We've even had a neighbor stop by to introduce themselves (and take a closer peek at the deck) and learn who did our deck as they want one just like it!

Couldn't be more pleased with this company!! The owner (Brian) and his five-man crew arrived promptly at 8:00am, and by noon I had an amazing deck. Of course, we didn't ask for anything complicated, but it's a testament to the expertise and professionalism of these guys to be able to knock out that job in four hours. The deck is beautiful! The quality of materials and workmanship is evident. It is obvious how much experience Brian has in deck building, and the advice he gave on the design aspects was spot on. I can't wait to have people over to show off my new deck! Every man who showed up to work was professional, courteous, and personable. They were so sweet to my little boy, who was enthralled by all the activity and power tools. Once the work was done, they left the work site clean and just the way they found it. From the time we committed to the job until they came out to build was about 10 weeks. This is definitely a busy time of year for these guys, but I found Brian to be quite responsive whenever I asked questions or needed to check in with him. Our deck was worth the wait. I would definitely recommend Deckbuilders to others and would use them again in the future.

The job constituted building a gabled extension from our roof, over our deck. Brian and his crew built an excellent looking structure that blended in beautifully with our home. A very sturdy, addition with extra support, and sure to be a much used addition to our home. We will certainly use this company if the need ever rises again, and would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone!

When I want something done around the house I go to Angie's list and look for the best rated provider. When things go well I give a positive review. In this case things did not go at all. I emailed the site and attached a photo of a rotten board in my deck and asked for a suggestion and an appointment for an estimate. I received an email response telling me my deck needed to be replaced. Not "I'll come out and tell you what needs to be done" just the deck needs to be replaced. I was also told that they were not taking any work in Birmingham at this time and "call my brother". I called his brother and reached him on his cell while he was on his way to a family event. He told me he didn't like working in Birmingham because the City was so difficult to work with but he did ask me if I would be around tomorrow which was Saturday. At 5 PM on Saturday he called to say he wasn't going to be able to make it and what did next week look like? I told him I was retired and could work around his schedule. Next week came and went and not a word. I'll be looking for someone else. Keep your eye out for that review.

.Removed and hauled away existing wood deck and stairs1 day and Replaced 8'3''x16' deck and stairs 2nd day. Came back 3rd day and sanded hand rail and splintered area in deck and left a hex head drill bit to remove lattice skirt for access to furnace in crawl space. Also returned to replace one hand rail support board with an excessive indentured pine knot.

The removal process was quick. Deck Builders showed upon on time. The crew was efficient, polite and responsive to last minute changes. We had two bushes that were overgrown into the deck area and I said I would cut them down. They said no problem, they would remove them. The deck banisters were the exact match to what my wife had wanted. The lights on the deck are an added touch that really looks nice in the evening. We are very pleased with the work and will call on them in the future for additional work. They will be back in six weeks to complete the staining of the deck.

Brian and his crew were very professional and courteous. They built my deck in just 2 days and did a super job. The quality and craftsmanship is very good and I'm exceptionally happy with the final product. I'd highly recommend them to my family and friends.

This 37'x14' deck was built off of the second floor 13.5 feet above ground level. This height provided an additional level of complexity to the teardown and reconstruction process. Use of IPE (Brazilian hardwood) in the deck construction resulted in a beautiful and high quality end product. All fasteners on the deck and railing were hidden adding to the professional result. To finish off the project, lighting was added and the deck was fully stained. Bran's crew was very professional and communicated well with status updates throughout the two weeks needed to complete the project. As far as contractors go, Deckbuilders ranks head and shoulders above the norm.

It went fairly well. They showed up on time and worked. Came back quickly to replace two boards that pulled loose. They removed all of the old deck except for the concrete footers but I didn't remind either.

We couldn?t be more pleased with Deckbuilders and Brian Snider. Brian provided a lot of guidance and answered our questions, but was also very open to our ideas and listened to what we wanted. The job started on schedule and he and his team stayed with it every day until it was completed. Brian?s team is outstanding ? very professional, reliable, and highly skilled. After the job was over there were a couple of minor items that needed some follow-up, and Deckbuilders didn?t hesitate to come back up and take care of them, even though we are more than hour outside of Huntsville. I am very pleased with our awesome new deck and heartily recommend Deckbuilders.
