Description of Work: Sodded a section of my yard and planted and cleared two flower beds.

Description of Work: White Shovel Landscaping trimmed the shrubs, spread mulch in all the beds, and installed sod on the front lawn. The work was done well and quickly, but it took several days for them to remove the portable dumpster from the front of the house. Finally I had to call and request that it be moved. I wish that they had offered to give me the left-over sod for bare spots in the back yard instead of throwing it into the dumpster.

Description of Work: Walked around yard and said d I should pick one area. Picked front. Live in a garden home and across front of house is very small. Made plans for him to return with plan and pictures. He came as planned with two pictures on laptop. I asked him to send them to me. Never got them. Contacted him again before appointment for me to sign contract for work. Told him no pics. I just wanted to see them again and show them to my son. Still no pictures. I cancelled next appointment. Price he quoted for minimal work was just under $2,000. Not a good value. He was somewhat arrogant and I think he was looking for a $10,000 job. In view of this and the fact that I saw the two pictured only one time and they were not provided to me, I decided that this wasn't in my best interest. I do not recommend this provider.

Description of Work: They did well - had a nice crew. My only concern is that a few of the azalea shrubs have died and I have notified them because they promised replacement of the bushes that died. To date I haven't heard from them but they may be waiting until Spring to replace them.

Description of Work: My husband met with representative as I had emergency and was unable to. He was not |left with photo image of their recommendations and was told he would email it to us. I have |left text message and sent email requesting a copy of their suggestions. To date, have |received no reply. Therefore, have no idea if we could use them in changing our landscape.

Description of Work: Looked over yard. Had me select one part (front). Discussed colors, arrangements I liked. Came back with two options. I asked for pictures. Never got them. After consideration, I decided they didn't fit type of house or arrangements we discussed. Would not use this business again.

Description of Work: They removed all of our old bushes and prepared the beds and planted a new design that we chose from the options they came up with. They put on new mulch and put in a brick edging. We are very pleased and they were very efficient, professional and nice to work with. They even told us they will come back in the winter and tell us what to trim and how.

Description of Work: Purchased a promotional package of mulch as well as additional mulch for our back yard. The price was good with a quality dark brown hard wood mulch. The work was completed efficiently by two men who were prompt and professional. It took about three weeks to line up a date and it had to be rescheduled, however it was a busy time of year.

Description of Work: The Angie's List offer was for consulting and a plan for landscaping. I met with the rep twice and decided their style was too formal for me. The representative tried to incorporate my ideas and suggested doing only part of the design, but this did not work for me. Because I did not want the work to be done, I cancelled the third visit which was to be an estimate of costs. |

Description of Work: After the rain finally stopped they were able to put mulch around my shrubs. Second time I have used them and I will use them again. Very professional

Description of Work: White Shovel did provide the design and estimate for a bid for the work I need completed. However, I'm not ready to complete the project at this time. Isaac was very prompt and explained everything in great detail.

Description of Work: I received two of the three visits thus far regarding landscaping design and consultation. They've provided artist rendering of their "vision" for our landscaping, and seem to be able to fulfill much of our hopes and plans within our budget. We'll know more a bit later down the road, but for now, it's a big "thumb's up" from me!

Description of Work: They created a landscape and patio plan to accompany the installment of a pool in our backyard. They were very professional and thorough. We have not moved forward on the project yet because we are still waiting for estimates for the pool and other projects.

Description of Work: White Shovel provided consulting services for landscape design. Their representative looked at the two areas with which I was concerned. The representative was not particularly impressive with his lack of landscaping experience. He suggested what were the standard stock plants, ignoring my particular soil/light constraints. He wasn't even that knowledgeable about the plants he was representing. He pushed hard for concrete hardscaping and I had the impression that this group was more about landscape maintenance services than design services. I also had the impression from their Angie"s offer that I would have a photo sample of the proposed design (such as it was) to keep. That was an additional charge. They might be useful to set up a landscaping bed for you - clearing, digging, mulching, etc. but I wasn't overwhelmed by their design expertise. I'd use a more local source for that service.

Description of Work: I opted for the 3 consults so the landscape consultant could first see my existing landscape. At the first appt, he heard may plans to improve some areas of my front and back yard and the types of things I hoped to have planted. At the second appt, he identified some recommended perennials (they don't do annuals) recognizing the guidance I had communicated. He included colors, shade/sun levels, height, expected growth etc and included the rendering of the proposed ideas. The rendering helped me visually his suggestions. It was also very helpful as he had a laptop with a variety of plants so he could show what some of the recomendations looked like at different levels of maturity. The third consult had the updated rendering and now provided a cost estimate for their company to do the installation with mature plants and an estimate with less mature plants. He was very informative and provided helpful suggestions plus the company offers a 5-year warranty. However, the installation was more than I hoped to pay for this project. The company offers a great service and product, but more than I was able to pay.

Description of Work: I just got the special which was the landscape photos. They did a good job, but I did make some changes due to incorrect plant selections (in relation to sun location). I would not use them because I just can't afford a landscaper to install plants.

Description of Work: We just need White Shovel Landscapers to come back and follow through - we have some questions about the plants - some don't look very good - they may need replacing? ALso, we are looking to put a patio in and hope they will contact us sometime in May or June regarding this matter. Thanks very much! Pam
