I spoke to about 4 of the top rated roofers in the area listed here on Angie's list and I went with B & B Roofing because of their promptness, their professionalism, and their price. Michael Burnett Sr. is handing his business down to his son and I would have to say that it couldn't be in better hands. Michael Burnett Jr. is very personable individual even if he is an Auburn fan. HA HA! He impressed me as someone that was on top of his game and he knew what he was doing. When he came out to give me an estimate, one of his competitors was not quiet finished giving me their estimate. Michael Jr. patiently waited until his competition was gone and came and gave me his estimate. He caught all of the things that were important to me. I wanted extra attention paid to trouble spots that I've had in the past. We agreed to take out the chimney. He offered to replace some rotted facia boards I had with a more durable solution. He told me that he had a complete seamless gutter installation system that he could use to replace my 40+ year old gutters. We were able to select a good looking architectural shingle to replace the worn out roof that I had. I especially appreciate how well Michael stayed in touch with me from the time that I gave him the green light and the time that he was able to do the work on my roof. I had to be out of town on TDY and he was able to adjust his schedule to work around mine. When his team came out they were very professional removing and replacing my roof. This house is about a 1500 square foot house with a carport and utility room. I wouldn't say the roof is large. Its probably more a medium size roof. B & B were able to replace it within one day between some of the rainy days that we've had. When it was all said and done, B & B held to the price that they had originally estimated. As expensive as a roof replacement is, you really don't want to deal with any hassles. B & B made the whole process very hassle free. If I have more work to do with my other houses, I will definitely use B & B.

I called several companies to get an estimate. All were within a few hundred dollars of each other, so we chose to go with B&B because I really liked them when they came out to give us the quote. They were very thorough and answered all of our questions. We had a tree fall on our house and do some minor damage, so we requested quotes for just the repair as well as for replacing the entire roof, since the roof was getting close to needing to be replaced anyway. They gladly complied and gave us both quotes. After choosing them, they set up a day about a week or two away that they would be able to perform the job. They tentatively said they would start on Tuesday, but they would call Monday night to confirm. They were able to start that Tuesday and worked until dark (around 7:30). I was surprised that they worked so late, but if it got the job completed sooner, I didn't mind! Since they were coming back the next day to finish the job, they requesed our permission to leave some materials/dumpster at our house overnight, which we were more than happy to grant. When we came home from work Wednesday, the roof was completed and all of the mess was gone. My husband found one roofing nail in our yard that had been overlooked, but everything else was completely gone. I was impressed! They met us at the house Thursday to be sure we were satisfied with the job and then we paid them. They did not ask for any money until the job was completed and we were happy. He answered several questions that we had about the roofing job and did not rush us at all. We are both engineers, so we have some detailed questions, but he did not seem to mind them at all. We have had the roof for a week or two now, and there has been one large rainstorm. We have had no problems with it at all. I would highly recommend B&B to anyone looking to replace their roof and would definitely use them in the future if I had any other roofing issues.

After a multi-month-long search for a company to replace the roof on our home in Madison, we finally met with Michael Burnett Jr. of B & B Roofing of Decatur, Alabama. Some roofers we had contacted previously had been "put off" by our materials list and our request for a detailed contract, but Michael was respectful, patient, and professional with our questions and specifications. We met with Michael a few more times and he was a consistent positive contributor as we refined our needs and requirements. We requested and he provided a contract which furnished a detailed materials list, costs list, description of labor to be done, and his warranty on the project. Additionally, he provided us with copies of his license, insurance and required city permits. The price Michael quoted us was reasonable and understandable. He stayed true and never deviated from his word throughout all phases of the project. Of course weather determined the schedule, but Michael stayed in contact, kept us informed, and the work was started and completed in a timely manner. This was a complicated job involving steep pitches, several roof vents, ice dam protection and metal fabrication. Michael was on-site several times each day and always available by phone if we had a question. The work crew was a serious group of skilled professionals who clearly knew their jobs and Michael's expectations. Their teamwork was impressive, the were friendly and if we had a question, they made sure we had a satisfactory answer. When the job was complete, the clean-up was thorough and they left us with a yard free of the large and small debris usually associated with a project of this magnitude. Michael made a post-job visit just to be sure we were satisfied with the result. Obviously, we could not be more pleased with our new roof and the quality of our experience! This is a lot to say about a roof, however, the craftsmanship, professionalism, and personality of everyone associated with B & B Roofing is worthy of our highest praise. Should we ever need roof work again, we will call Mike Burnett.

Because they advertised as performing siding repair jobs and the prior reviews were good, I spoke to Mike five weeks ago about a job estimate. I passed him all information but he never got back with me.

They had good quality product, they installed in a timely manner, very courteous and helpful.

I waited 2 months to write this review just to make sure everything about the job was ok. It is. As I indicated in ratings, all aspects of job performance were excellent. Owner Michael Burnett went out of his way to find out exactly what we wanted and to make sure that the job was done completely and to our satisfaction. The workers were courteous and finished very quickly (took them a day + clean up time the next morning). They left the 'job site' in excellent shape. The price was very competitive. I got estimates from three companies listed on Angies List. I picked B & B Roofing because I liked Michael Burnett's professional attitude, and I liked the fact that, as the owner, he came to discuss the job himself instead of sending a salesman. Also, his company is local and he has done several jobs in our neighborhood; everyone I contacted was pleased with his work. I would recommend this company to anyone for roofing and gutter replacement.

Our house needed a new roof after it sustained some wind damage , we call various contractors which provided us with estimates for the work to be performed, we had estimates from over $8k to $5.8k , we call some contractors and never receive a call back or could not get in touch with the company after they provided a estimated . B & B roofing always communicated very well with us , Micheal and His father Mr. Burnett made a great impression from day one , they work on our selection of roofing material and provided us with sample boards of the material we wanted , i was surprised that the Premium Tamko Heritage shingle was not available from the factory and had a long lead time , i assume most people prefer the more economical Heritage shingle , which in the end was our selection, Micheal set a starting date and told us the roof would be completed in one day , when the day came Micheal and his crew were on time and the roof was completed in one day as told !!!Estimate was around 34 squares and 66 linear feet of ridge vent, , our yard was left clean with no debris , nail magnet was run by the crew and again by Micheal , the vents were painted to match the roof color and extra shingles were left just in case i ever need them. Micheal also worked with my siding contractor to ensure our chimeney was water tight , since those guys doing the siding had no clue !!!! Overall we give B & B roofing a A+ rating , if every contractor doing work was this efficient and provided the work quality they did i would enjoy doing remodeling , my siding contractor had to work a Discrepancy list of 29 items , B & B had one and was fixed to our satisfaction.... Always go with your 1st impression 99% of the time you will be right, do your homework and try to find reviews from online resources and also check Better Bussiness Burea, if some one has been in bussiness for a long time and you cannot find ANY reviews anywhere , that should tell you something.....also is very easy to find a negative review , but most satisfy costumers never provide a review .....Wonder WHY ????

They were really good. They were incredibly fast. They had everything done in a day. They left no mess. I did have an area that has not been done and they sent somebody immediately over to repair that. Not only they did repair it but I didn't know that they had come and gone because they left no mess. They handled everything with the insurance for me. They were very efficient.

When I spoke with the representative on the phone, I felt like I was being a burden to them and I was keeping them from doing something else. I will never call this company again. When I purchased this home in 2003 the original owner left paperwork for me from B&B Roofing who replaced the entire roof in October of 2001. This person was very unprofessional and because of it lost a sale.

I called B&B to get an estimate on having a gutter installed on the front of our house. Michael was prompt and professional about getting us an estimate and getting the gutter installed. He also did a great job at matching the gutter to the existing fascia boards so that the gutter is barely visible from the road.

I called him for a quote and he showed up for the quote, looked at the leak and the water damage on the ceiling, and took some measurements. I asked for a written quote, so he wrote it on the back of his business card and the quote amount was $950. I tried to get back with him a little while later to ask him to do the work and he said that he will just show up and do it, but I've never heard from him again.

I contacted B & B Roofing based on its Angie's List reviews, proximity and willingness to do a small job. I had a piece of fascia that came loose at the crest of my roof, which is 40 feet from the ground. It was a simple repair, but without a 40-foot ladder I was unable to fix it myself. A company I had worked with last November (and rated on Angie's List) was contacted first, but it was obvious from their estimate that they did not want to do a smaller job this time around. Michael Burnett -- the owner -- came out and provided an estimate for $300 that included the material to replace the fascia. Michael was extremely prompt in his effort to provide an estimate and in scheduling the repair. Since we had a similar repair six months earlier, I asked Michael to tack the other fascia around the house to prevent this from happening again. Michael stated that was already planned and part of the $300 estimate. It was a delight to work with Michael and his team. He is my new "go to" for any roofing, siding, or gutter needs.

I was in desperate need of a new roof and had several estimates. Many of the roofers I got estimates from told me all of my decking needed to be replaced and that my chimney needed to be worked on before a new roof could be installed. B & B gave me a reasonable estimate and replaced a lot of decking, but didn't replace it where it was not needed. They flashed the chimney (it didn't have flashing before). The workers were very courteous and conscientious of my dogs when going in and out of my back gate. It was a great experience and I've been able to get better insurance on my home due to my new roof.

Contractor kept in constant contact and always answered my calls and questions. Workers were very respectful and friendly. I would recommend this company to family and friends

They came out promptly to look over the roof and give the estimate. Since there were so many damaged houses from the tornado it took a few days for them to actually begin work on the roof. The start day was moved a week. The owner was very nice and helpful. Only problem I really had was lack of communication with the actual workers. I had instructed the owner that I need pictures taken of the roof after the old shingles were removed for the insurance company adjuster. Somehow this was NOT conveyed to the actual roofers and they had already replaced a large number of shingles before I came home and told them I had to have pictures. It was too late and because the pictures were not taken I could not send them into the insurance adjuster and the actual amount of my claim was less than the roof cost. I guess I should have been there when they started the work and made sure the actual roofers were aware of what I needed. The work was good, the roof looks good and my electric bill is less because of the roof vent (which I did not have before). They cleaned the yard and the owner came by himself the very next day to check their work and go over the yard a second time to make sure no nails or misc was left on the property. Only recommendation would be for people to make sure you talk to the actual roofers BEFORE they start the work on the day they arrive.

They were professional. They treated us very courteously. They were punctual. If there is a need, I would use them again in the future too.

I noticed water damage inside my home after the tornado on April 27, 2011. I notified my insurance company and they sent out a claims adjuster and recommended a roofing company. The roofing company never showed up to do an estimate when they said they would. They showed up a week later and in the mean time I was referef to B & B Roofing. The owner of B & B Roofing came within hours of my call and inspected my roof and gave me a cost estimate. In the meantime the insurance adjuster authorized repair of my homes interior water damage but rejected my claim for roof damage because there were no shingles missing from the roof. I immediately protested the adjusters findings. My insurance company sent out another adjuster and B & B Roofing met with this adjuster and pointed out the damage on my roof.. The adjuster came to the conclusion that the damage pointed out by B & B Roofing had been caused by a prior storm on October 24, 2010 and that I should file a new claim using this date and he would recommend the replacement of my roof. I was finally notified on 6/22/2011 that my claim was being prosseced.

They came out promptly for the estimate and were prompt to come out to do the work. They worked with insurance company. They cleaned up well afterwards. There was a leak but they responded well to that and repaired it.
