Drywall and Painting

Paid over $2100 for drywall finishing and was quoted 1.5-2 weeks. I told David I was not in a hurry, which was a mistake. After 2 months I told him we need the job finished. After 3 months he said he was done and wanted the rest of the money, to which I pointed out numerous areas that needed extensive work. David said that was the best he could do and quit, leaving me with an unfinished job and out the money. I have since brought in another contractor who looked at the job and quoted $2160 to correct the horrible job, but then who also asked for more money and quit once he found out how bad the job really was. I'm still searching for someone to fix David's mess.

Mr. Morgan did a wonderful job on repairing our 1930 California bungalow ceiling. He is a down-to-earth guy who has decades of experience in all types of ceiling and home repairs. He made all of his repairs to match the original ceiling, and he finished quicker than quoted. I’d recommend Mr. Morgan for any ceiling related work.

David was extremely responsive, professional, and an all-around gentleman throughout this multi-day project.... A very hard worker and a humble soul to match. Coming in at a competitive rate under two other quoted estimates, the money spent on this project was well worth it. On one of the final days of the project when he was supposed to come out and begin the last leg to finish up, I received a call from an extremely apologetic David, who had been admitted into the hospital with a severe malady ... He was so concerned about the project and his inability to be there that day to finish it up, that he felt compelled to call us from his hospital bed to let us know he would be delayed but that he WOULD be there to complete the job as soon as he was released and physically able to come out.... Within less than a week, he was back on his feet and we were his first call to come out and complete the job. I don't know anyone else that would have shown as much concern or gone to as great a length to keep us informed about such matters and its impact on a contracted drywall + paint job. Of course, we told him that our project could wait and that his well-being was far more important... When he came out, we were genuinely just so glad to see him doing so well. Would definitely recommend David for any type of work like this again! Good work and great guy!

Excellent. The work was completed quickly and professionally. Mr. Morgan was able to start the work the day after I called him for a quote. He patched the drywall that afternoon, then returned the next afternoon to paint. Mr. Morgan cleaned up the work area after each visit. The drywall patch is invisible and the painting is excellent. The ceiling looks brand new. I highly recommend Mr. Morgan's work.

I handle claims for moving companies and have used several contractors over the years. I will not call anyone but David Morgan. I called him to handle the job. He called back shortly and updated me that an appointment was scheduled. He updated me after looking at job and quoted a price. I approved and 4 days later he called to let me know job was finished. I called the homeowner for his opinion "Very pleased". David's promptness and professionalism is outstanding! I HIGHLY recommend him.

The job is not finished but I am very happy with his work and that he is able to work around the many things which have to be moved around to get the work done in a timely manner. More later when it is finished.

Mr. Morgan is good to work with, very kind, helpful, and affordable. However, the job he did--patching drywall and painting in a bathroom that is being remodeled--was less than perfect. One part of the room was not yet wired, so instead of bringing a task light, he used the light on his phone. The drywall in that area has popped nails and rough patches, and the paint is a bit slapdash. There were other patches of drywall in somewhat awkward places--behind the toilet, near the sink, next to a ceiling access area--that are not smooth either. He has promised several times to come back and fix these problems but has not done so. I see he's said the same to another client who has been waiting since 2015, so I will be doing what I can myself and hiring someone else to do what I can't.

Mr. Morgan was able to come and give me a quote the same day I contacted him. Initially had him quote painting a small bedroom and bathroom. It is also worth noting that the bathroom needed a little skimming on the walls as well. While he was there I asked him about the popcorn ceilings in the same rooms. He was very punctual and very dependable. He cleaned up each day before he left. (Of course popcorn ceilings are messy, so I also cleaned up behind him some.) He did a really good job and I will definitely be hiring him in the future to continue to remove the popcorn from my ceilings little by little. I even told my neighbor about him and she came over and looked at the job he had done. She and her husband have hired him as well. Definitely recommend him.

The drywall work went pretty quick. There were a few spots (one seam and two electrical boxes) that needed to be finished better. Also, the floors in the area being worked were finished floors. Scaffolding with metal wheels was used during the finishing of the ceiling drywall which scratched the floors. The contractor was contacted and said he would make it right over a month ago. So far, I have not heard back from him.

We called Morgan Drywall and Painting to repair two small sections of drywall in our bathroom walls after a plumbing leak was repaired. Mr. Morgan responded quickly and did an excellent job not only repairing the drywall but also added a support bracket for the plumbing, treated the mold from the water leak, and added extra insulation in the walls. He was very professional and courteous.

Let me start to say that i attempted to do this myself that i worked at for almost a month on and off after work. I finally came to the realization I needed an expert and soon as i'm doing a remodel that needs to get done before thanksgiving when i have family visiting. So I start my search and in less than 24hrs Morgan drywall contacted me and came out for an estimate. Not only was the price acceptable, he got the job done the next two days! Let me say it is beautiful!! not only did he clean up my mess but he was nice another to give me tips on how to get the rest of the remodel done correctly. I thank the lord for Morgan Drywall as he did not only an amazing job but did it quickly and was very professional.

Mr. Morgan was very professional throughout the whole process. Work required scraping of all popcorn ceilings, patching, smoothing and painting all scraped surfaces. He was very punctual and had many helpful tips for us regarding the renovation of our patio home. He was very meticulous with even the smallest of details. He even removed all ceiling fixtures and patched where needed and full cleanup. Our ceilings look fantastic! He was very nice to work with and we will be hiring him again for other work in the future. I highly recommend Mr. Morgan for any drywall work you may need to have done.
