Van called to confirm and arrived early. This service man was very pleasant, professional, and helpful. He investigated the cause of the dishwasher not cleaning the dishes properly and explained how to remedy the problem. Van answered my inquiries very well. This company deserves an A for excellent service.

I paid $75.00 to get a diagnosis I had already made. The only useful contribution was the exact name of the board that needed to be replaced (FUB board) - which I could have deduced with a little bit more research. I was the one who had to point out that the lines on the screen were not there when certain functions were in use. I was the one who figured out the problem. All I got from them was that the board I needed to replace was no longer manufactured (tv was 6 months out of warranty at that point). I was able to find a used board and I had my husband replace it for $150.00. This $75.00 diagnosis was a waste of my time and money.

We were contacted by the Customer for in-home service. She told us that she had vertical color stripes on her screen on all inputs. There was no way to know for certain what board she needed for certain without visiting her home and inspecting the unit in person, as there are several possible causes of this problem. After we diagnosed it and determined that we needed the main board, it was discovered that this part was no longer available from Sony. There is no way we could have known in advance that Sony had chosen to stop providing parts support on a television that was only 6 years old. We gave the customer Sony's customer service information, and encouraged her to contact them with her complaints. We completely understand why she was so unhappy, her television had failed and the parts needed to restore it to use were no longer sold by the manufacturer. We provided service in good faith, and could not have predicted which part she needed and the fact that it was not available. Hopefully Sony offered her some relief towards a replacement product.

We called when our side-by-side refrigerator / freezer began having trouble keeping the refrigerator side cold. The freezer stayed well below zero, but the refrigerator side would climb as high as 55F. The office personnel were friendly and professional and said they could send a repair tech the next day. The tech arrived as scheduled and introduce himself. He was friendly and professional. The problem ended up being the "diffuser" or cold air exchange control between the freezer and refrigerator. This part was identified quickly as the issue, but had to be ordered. This meant we might need to spend a week or more without a reliable refrigerator in the kitchen. The tech demonstrated how to open the shutters on the diffuser manually with a screw driver or blade - which allowed us to keep that compartment much closer to the correct temp while waiting on the part. The part took a little longer than expected to arrive - almost two weeks. However, they contacted me as soon as it arrived and were able to send the same tech out same-day to install it. Once again, the tech arrived on schedule and replaced the part quickly. This solved the problem as expected. Overall, this was a positive repair experience with the exception of the time required to order and receive the part.
Description of Work: Repaired a 10-year old, side-by-side refrigerator / freezer by replacing the "diffuser" between the two compartments.

overall the experience was positive. do not expect them to perform any electrical service. He stated that he could not do naything on my plug that was about to come out of the wall, that he was not allowed to do that, it would take an electrician to perform that service, which meant that I would have to call in another technician and pay another service charge plus the labor charges.
Description of Work: the repairman checked out my gas dryer and found out that the dial was not functioni ng properly. I did not allow him to replace the dial because in my estinmation the cost of the part was prohibitive. he did not have the equipment to blow out my outlet to the outside.

went well, person on the phone was GREAT- Toxy. Repair man was very knowledgeable, too. Only hangup was the amount of time to complete the job. We called, they came out the next week. They had to order a part, it took a week. They came out and fixed it the week after.

The parts had to be ordered so they took several weeks to come in. It was very frustrating that it took so long but I think it was Bosch and not the company that was the problem. When the parts finally did arrive (almost 3 weeks later) it took 3 days before they could come over to fix.

They were very careful taking information over the phone, asking questions, but did not disclose the limits of their service which I was willing to pay for. We chose them because of the rating on Angie's List.
Description of Work: They came out to replace a part of a Bosch dishwasher that was part of a recall, so all of it was free but despite having told them extensively everything about the problem including that the dishwasher was pulled out do the fact that it was flooding, I was not told they do not install or reinstall in this case. So it was a waste of a week waiting for the part to come in to get to this day and still not know what to do about the dishwasher.

As you can imagine, this technician is no longer with Service Care. We try to foster long-term relationships with our employees, but we won't tolerate poor treatment of customers. I never heard from this customer regarding this issue, or I (as customer service manager) would have marched this technician right back up there to install that dishwasher or I would have done it myself.

The whole experience was bad. The guy came to the house to diagnose the problem. He left saying he would call me back that day to let me know if they had the part locally. He never called. Days later they call to set up an appointment to replace the part. On the day they were supposed to come out they called to see if they could come at 7:15 the next morning. I told him I had to leave by 7:30 and he assured me that it would take 10 minutes to fix. I agreed to let him come. The next morning he never showed up. I waited until 7:45. When I called the office they said he wasn't even supposed to set up appointments like that. He later called to apologize and said he just forgot. We set up a new appointment and he came on time but when he went to fix the fridge he had the wrong part. Again he said he would call me later that day to let me know if he had the part locally. Again,he didn't call. Finally a week later he got the correct part and installed it. I would not reccomend this company at all.

CHuck was very professional, came in and got right to work.

The repair guy was extremely knowledgeable and had a wonderful attitude. He did everything he could to find the part and really make us certain the oven could not be resurrected. He also gave us some advice about buying a new oven. He was not rushed and even went to the trouble to get us the old part number just in case we wanted to try to find a salvage. He even called us back when he had found the price on the part--even though the last one had been sold four years ago. My only complaint was that we had to make two calls to get a follow up visit. In my opinion they should have been more proactive in finishing the job. That being said, I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: Fixed broken Sub Zero icemaker. The first repair man said a valve just needed to be turned on. When that didn't work, they came back and fixed it for no extra charge. They also checked out my wall oven and declared it dead. It was very old and the necessary part hadn't been made since the 1990's.

We called on a Tuesday morning when we discovered the door to the dishwasher wouldn't open. We were scheduled for Thursday but Service Care contacted us to reschedule for Tuesday afternoon since they had a cancellation. The service tech discovered the problem, explained what was necessary to correct it and had it fixed within twenty minutes. He also spent time explaining how to get the best results from our dishwasher. This is the second time we've used Service Care and we could not be more pleased.
Description of Work: The door to our GE dishwasher wouldn't open. The service tech discovered the problem and corrected it.

Needed to know if refrigerator in garage was working properly. It was tripping the GFCI outlet. The technician seemed to know exactly what to do and gave me an honest evaluation. I had the choice of replacing the compressor in the frig and chose not to do so. He did not pressure me at all but let me know if that if I chose to replace it in the future, the service call payment would be applied to that repair. I was very pleased with his knowledge and professionalism.
Description of Work: Checked compressor in refrigerator. Also gave advice on leveling our W/D (though did not perform that actual service).

I just moved to Bham. The plug of the dryer did not match the outlet for the dryer. I had puchase a replacement cord. Since there were no directions, I chose not to do it myself. He removed the old cord and put the new cord on. He also gave me information about roof dryer exhausts. He came promptly, timely and was professional.

Purchased the Whirlpool front loan washer and dryer from Sears and called their repair specialists first. Repair quote from Sears was nearly $100 more and their technician was late, rude, and didn't clean up after himself. Very pleased with Service Care and will refer them to anyone seeking appliance repair or maintenance.

The guy that came and repaired my refrigerator was a little hard to understand so I am not quite sure what he did, but whatever he did sure worked. He actually looked behind it said a few words and then came back and fixed it right up. Our refrigerator has worked really well since.

When you need to have something fixed the company will work on site if needed. You can also just bring it to them. Whatever is at your own personal conveniences? They do an excellent job and they do it fast. You don t have to wait months to get your appliances back if you do choose to leave it there.
Description of Work: I had a GE 150 watt microwave that needed a fan motor replaced. The motor just blew out from continuous use.

The investment of this system to me was definitely worth every penny. It is quiet cost worthy but in the long run it is worth it. My clothes are cleaner and my skin is clearer and more healthier because of the system. This is an awesome company that I will work with for years down the road! We have a sink in the 3 bathrooms the kitchen and basement washer that use the water. There are three levels of filters that are used to soften the water. One level is for removing chemicals from water the second is for cleaning the drinking water and water used for hygiene. The third filter is the most pure and is used for the kitchen tap water. Basically for drinking this is the sweetest water after it has been purified.
Description of Work: I needed a whole water softener system installed in my five bedroom home.

Our dryer works just like new since Service Care fixed it. They repaired it on the first visit and it only took about an hour to repair it. The service man explained that the problem was the blower and he had a new one in his van. We will definitely be using this company for all of our future repairs.
