It was a great experience. They did a great job from the installation until the final sanding and finish of the floor. It is beautiful. The job is perfect.

I have enlarged my guest bedroom. The finishing touch was getting my hardwood floors refinished. My daughter Tina Fernandez recommended I join Angie's List to find a dependable and professional company I could trust and get the job done right and fair. So I joined Angie's List and looked up local hardwood flooring businesses. Rodgers Flooring had the best reviews and grade, after checking with one other I decided to go with Jeff Rodgers company. He gave me a price over the phone, which, my neighbor had already told me what he thought it would be, I set up a date with Jeff Rodgers and his workers showed up on time, set up equipment and began to work on my floors. It was a whole day affair, they were kind and gentlemanly enough I offer to fix them lunch. They ate lunch out on my patio while waiting for the next coat of sealer. My hardwood floors are 48 years old and are white oak...I kept it natural and it looks great. Jeff called me a few days later asking me how the floors looked and if I was satisfied. The job was completed in three days not counting an additional day when work was halted due to our schedule conflict. They had to work like the dickens to rip out the original laminate flooring in the entryway.

Jeff agreed to an appointment, came to the house, discussed the job, measured, and promised an estimate the next day or the following day. That was the last we ever heard from him.

Very professional, estimate was about 2/3 the price of another group (and that group said they wouldn't even refinish the stairs because it "wasn't worth their time"!). The crew was nice and courteous. We had to match the stain to another part of the house which they did a great job of. Did a great job, I'm very happy with the finished product and I have recommended Rodgers to friends who were thinking about refinishing their floors.

Jeff, the owner, came to my home, assessed the floor condition. He provide me with two options and was very clear on exactly what would be done and what I could expect from each option. He did not over promise or oversell. Within a few days, he emailed me the cost estimate of both options. On the agreed upon date of service, two of his workers arrived within 15 minutes of the scheduled time. They were professional and did an excellent job. The only bad part was the smell of the product used. Jeff called me to be sure that I was satisfied and came by to check the work. He gave me specific instructions on how to maintain the floor and also gave me a floor cleaner as part of the service! The cost includes a two year warranty during which I can receive additional maintenance service. I am very, very happy with my floor and would definitely recommend Rodgers!

After we agreed on a price, Jeff was very accommodating with getting our job scheduled right after Christmas so we could get into our house ASAP. Jeff told me it would take three to four days and it only took the three. I was very pleased with that. His crew showed up on time and was very professional throughout the whole project. I am very picky about who works in my home but I felt really good about him and his crew working in my house. He worked with me every step of the way. When I had a question, Jeff was very polite and explained to me whatever I wanted to know. He helped me decide on a stain color and the best kind of finish for my house. My floors turned out great and there was hardly any dust. I would not hesitate to recommend Rodgers Flooring to any one . His estimate was not the cheapest but not the most expensive that I received. I feel like I got a good bargain for what I paid.

Jeff was very easy to work with. His crew showed up when he said they would and worked hard. The process went smooth and as expected. I especially liked how he explained everything about the process to me and his warranty on the work before he got the job. I knew exactly what to expect and if I had a question at any time, I could always reach him for further assistance.

Everything started out great with Rodgers Flooring. Despite never actually meeting Jeff Rodgers, who I assume is the owner, I talked with him multiple times via phone and email as we planned out the scheduling and quote for having the floors in our newly purchased home redone. Early on, Jeff was easy to reach, responsive, and timely in getting us an estimate and setting up the work dates. His crew showed up on time the day we scheduled to start, gave us a selection of stain samples to choose from, and went about their work. They moved quickly throughout the house, and completed all but the kitchen work in a few days. Jeff let us know that since the kitchen work was added later, the crew would have to come back the following week to remove the old floors and install new wood, because they had a full schedule already. This wasn't a problem for us, and the crew came back as promised to install the new floors. THE HANDYWORK We did notice a couple of small issues at this point. The crew did not take great care in making sure they kept the stain off of our baseboards. Thankfully, I was planning on repainting these. But there were multiple streaks on the white baseboards that were not removed. If we hadn't planned on repainting the baseboards, this would have been a serious issue. We also had a tile surround that had a pice of border wood trim around it. They remove this trim and did not replace it, leaving the upper edge of the tile exposed. Lastly, I had to come behind them with my own tack gun and reattach quarter round in multiple places where it had not been tacked sufficiently and had gaps showing underneath. THE ISSUES After the crew had installed the new, unstained, wood in the kitchen ... all communication stopped with Jeff, other than to talk about his employee coming by to collect a partial payment on the job. After multiple phone messages and emails, I finally got Jeff on the phone to try to figure out when the kitchen floors could be stained and sealed. He mentioned that we should wait until our new cabinets were installed before finishing the floors because that would help avoid scratching and messing up the new floors while installing the cabinets and shifting appliances. This seemed strange to me since it meant there would be areas of unstained and unsealed wood underneath our cabinets. But I trusted his professional judgement and agreed to wait. As soon as we go the cabinets installed, we were able to get the Rodgers flooring crew back out to finish the job. In preparation for their arrival, I covered and taped all the new cabinets with plastic, to ensure that we didn't have any stain kick up on our new WHITE cabinets. We also had a custom toe-kick installed underneath each cabinet so I made sure to tell them NOT to install quarter round over the toe kick The crew went about doing their work, and I went to work in my office. The came to get me once the job was "complete", and much to my dismay, that had installed quarter round with nails into our brand new toe kick. This was frustrating, but I was patient with them as their english wasn't great and assumed they might not have understood what I was saying. After they left, however, I also notice that there was a large gouge on the front panel of our brand new cabinets, at the exact height as the handle for their floor sanders. It was definitely not there before they started, since I had checked all the cabinets just hours earlier when they had finished being installed. To top it off, the crew had removed the majority of my plastic covering and tape, and had stained up on the visible open side of one of our new cabinets. A few days later, I also noticed after pulling our refrigerator out to work on electrical, that they had NOT SEALED the wood underneath the refrigerator at all. This was completely unacceptable, and was part of the quote I had already paid for. I promptly called Jeff a couple of times over a couple of days, but never got him to call me back. Then I emailed him a few times, and finally got a response asking if certain days were open for them to come back and finish the job. I tried to be very accommodating schedule-wise to work and get the job done. After agreeing that I could be here on a SATURDAY OR SUNDAY to meet them, I never heard back. It's now been two weeks, and I'm left with dinged up cabinets and an unfinished poly on my kitchen floor. Thankfully, I have a friend who is willing to help finish the poly underneath the refrigerator and help protect the wood. I would NOT recommend Rodgers Flooring based on their inability to complete a job that they've been paid for, and their lack of communication and attention to detail. Their price was on the lower end of the quote we received, and it likely would have been easier to go with a higher quote and save ourselves the headaches.

Excellent !!!! Even with the crew missing the one bathroom closet when they returned to complete the closet the workmanship was just as nice as the rest of the house hardwood flooring!

We had a very positive experience with Rodgers Flooring. The workers were professional and courteous, and Jeff was very accessible throughout. The process took exactly as long as he quoted, no surprises. We paid a little extra to have our larger pieces of furniture moved, worth every penny. We chose Jeff because of reviews on Angie's List and the BBB, and he was very personable. We were out three nights and the smell was strong at first when we returned, but faded after a week. Just a warning if you are planning on this process and are sensitive to strong fumes - you might want to stay out longer. Overall, we are thrilled with our floors, wish we had done it sooner.

Through the bidding process, I was the most comfortable with Jeff Rodgers compared to others that came out. He explained the process to me, went over a few options, and had an estimate to me by that evening. He came in as the low price, which made me somewhat nervous at first. However, I called a few references which he provided readily, and all had great things to say. He delivered on his promises, getting the job done in about 3 days. He arrived when he said he would, kept us updated on the progress, and we didn't pay him anything until we were satisfied with the work. He came through and walked over the house with us, answering our questions,and fixing a few things that we were concerned with- there weren't many- and we were quite satisfied with the quality of work performed. Would definitely hire him again, and recommend him to friends and family.

Jeff, and his crew, did a quality job on installing, staining, and coating my new hardwood floors. The communication was excellent, and my overall feel is an "A". The "B" for professionalism is simply because of a couple of minor things like stain being smeared on the light switch, and the workers leaving their cups and rags behind on my patio. These are very minor things, and other than that, I would recommend them without hesitation.

Jeff, the owner, gave a fair bid for work performed as compared to others o contacted. He was accommodating with my requests and how I wanted the job performed! Corrected any issues that arose without question, which is rare these days with contractors! His crew was respectful of my home and was careful with my furnishings etc... thanks,

The crew was knowledgeable, professional, punctual, and they did a great job. The finished floors were beautiful. I was amazed at the lack of dust when it was all over. We did not even have to clean kitchen drawers (although we taped drawers as an extra precaution in addition to the draping done by the floor finishing crew). We were out of the house two nights, and moved furniture back in a week later. In one place a paint chip had been painted over, and the crew came back and quickly corrected this. The floors are almost perfect except for a very minor places where the finish had pooled or pieces of debris had gotten into the finish near a wall. These glitches were very, very minor. I highly recommend Rodgers Flooring. His prices beat the market by 50-100%, and his work is excellent. He uses Bona Swedish products for his refinishing. These are some of the best wood floor products made.
