Rodgers Flooring

Jeff told me when I called to inquire about repairing the dark stains on the wood floors caused by the dog urinating on the rug in several rooms, that it might be simple and might be more complicated. He said he would try to sand but if the stain was too deep, then they would have to replace the wood. They arrived when they said they would and Jeff kept us informed. In the end, we had him come back for one room that we were not completely happy with and they came back and made it right. The floors look so much better and Rodgers Flooring wanted it to be done right. What more could you want.

Jeff's crew removed existing carpet and installed oak flooring in our master bedroom and stairs to the bedroom. Crew was always professional and helpful.

Did an amazing job on our floors. We were on a tight time frame and juggling other aspects of a home renovation (painting, carpeting, movers, etc.) Jeff Rodgers and his crew were helpful and timely and provided excellent quality work at a good price. More impressive though was Mr. Rodgers' integrity and dedication to customer satisfaction. Prior to our movers coming over, he mentioned that if the floors were scratched or damaged during the move to give him a call and they'd repair them. Thankfully it wasn't needed, but this is just one example of many of how hard he worked to go beyond what is expected. Another noteworthy aspect was that he was always easy to get in touch with. As different questions came up, Mr. Rodgers was readily available by phone or text. Will definitely use this company again for any flooring needs!

Jeff and the team at Rodgers flooring always seem to amaze with their level of service. They had a very quick turnaround on scheduling the floor install. They showed up (early) to do the work and were very friendly. They went to work immediately and stayed focused until the job was complete. The work product was great, they were very detailed and answered any questions I had. After I was able to enter the home I noticed a few spots that I was concerned about. I called Jeff on the weekend to leave a message in hopes of a return call the following week. He actually took the time to return my call on the weekend and put my mind at ease that they would come correct any problem I was having. He had his team back on site the following week to do some additional finishing. I have now had the floors in place for a couple of months and ran into a few additional problems. I emailed Jeff and had a return call within the hour to offer help. We have developed an action plan to take care of the issue and will schedule soon. I can?t say enough good things about Jeff and his company. I really don?t know the last time I worked with a company that was so willing to ensure their customers satisfaction. I would not hesitate to use them again and would actually look for opportunities to recommend them to others.

Jeff was easy to talk to and patient with my many questions. His quote was well below a big name company in the area and comparable to another quote. He quickly and accurately identified the type of existing wood we already had so we could purchase the same type of unfinished wood to blend. (The comparable quote told us white oak instead of the red oak that we actually had). His crew showed up on time and worked quickly. They sanded the old and new and stained it all to match. You cannot tell where one ends and the other begins. We will be using Rodgers Flooring again next summer when we install hardwoods in our bedrooms!

The workers showed up at 9am (right on time). It took days for them to sand and refinish. They are very quick, knowledgeable and good at what they do.

Overall the experience went smoothly. When we had questions or concerns about our flooring, Jeff and his crew were prompt to address our questions and concerns. His crew was professional, clean and courteous. We did run into an issue with stain getting on our baseboards, but Jeff and his foreman were quick to help make us happy. In addition, prior to their arrival for the job, we were pretty set on our stain color but when we told the crew about our choice, they quickly showed us alternative stain colors, since the color we originally picked wouldn't have looked right on the type of floors we had. We decided to go with a darker brown color, which enhanced the natural grain of our oak floors. We couldn't be happier. Our floors look like something out of a Home and Garden magazine! The best part? We started this project on a Friday and our floors were ready to walk on by Sunday evening. I would definitely recommend his company. Jeff was easy to get in contact with, at all hours of the day and was easy to schedule. His prices were extremely reasonable as well.

The carpet in living room and linoleum in kitchen was replaced with beautiful bamboo hardwood. It is so gorgeous! I can't believe the difference. The floor looks so perfect, (because it was installed perfectly). The guys doing the work were very professional, nice, polite, and answered any questions I had, no matter how stupid. I've wanted to do this for years, and when I saw the difference it made, I wonder why I waited so long. My house is on a slab, and once the carpet and linoleum was removed, the whole slab was full of huge cracks the whole length of the rooms. The linoleum in the kitchen, which was ugly and horrible in the first place, had buckled almost the whole length of the kitchen, and all of that was taken care of. Plus, the line between the carpet and the kitchen was crooked, off about an inch. It was just terrible, but it took your eye away from the buckling. It's so gorgeous now! If you're looking for hardwood installation, this is the place to call. And the price quoted was exactly the price I paid, not a penny more. (When does that happen?) I'm a very satisfied customer, and this is the very reason I joined Angie's List, to find people like this. Thanks.

I got an estimate for some work I wanted done. Mr. Rodgers said he would get back to me with an itemized estimate within a day. I had to contact him a week later asking him for it. The day after I e-mailed him, he provided me with a non-itemized estimate. I contacted him with follow up questions and he never replied, which seemed kind of rude to me. Moreover, his estimate was really high - like $1800.00 higher than the company I went with (Ovi's Flooring.)

There were no problems at all. The completed the work in the timeframe they indicated they would and the final price matched the initial estimate.

Everything went very smoothly with our flooring project. Jeff was very responsive and always easy to get a hold of. We set up our initial consultation within a couple days of calling them. We needed to have the project completed within a week of our consultation and didn't know if that was going to be possible. Jeff, however, was able to fit us in to his schedule and they completed the job within a couple of days. The floors turned out great. There were scratches and dents that i didn't think they would be able to fix but the floors really do look brand new. I'm planning to use Rodgers Flooring again when I remodel my kitchen.

The first appointment was scheduled for 9am the day after I initially called. At about 8 Rodgers called me to reschedule because he could not make it so we rescheduled to 3pm. At around 2:30 he called me to let me know he will not be able to make it but he will send someone to take measurements and then he will email me a quote. I called about a week after and he said he will email me a quote that day. It has been about a month, if not more, and the other day Rodgers accidentally called me, thinking I was someone else. He apologized and promised a quote that day, I have yet to receive a quote from Rodgers flooring. That is very unprofessional and I will not be using their services.

We arranged a date for them to start, knowing that we would need to make plans to move furniture and plan to leave the home for a short while. They arrived they day they scheduled. There was a crew of 3 who were courteous and very professional. They placed sheeting over all doors leading to other parts of the house and even covered the kitchen counters to eliminate dust collecting on the doors. They then used a large powerful 220 V sander which stripped all the old stain along with deep grooves left by our dog. They then put on the stain followed by 2 coats of sealer and 4 coats of sealer. The floors look beautiful!

No complaints. Everything looked great. Very happy. The only thing I would do different is to remove the blinds from the windows as everything gets covered in dust.

First challenge was finding someone who would refinish parquet. Most companies will not. Rodgers agreed and did a splendid job. Arrived two hours later than expected, but explained that the crew had to picked up additional supplies. Someone should have called and informed me. The job however, was completed in less time than expected. They were very diligent in sealing off the space to protect the rest of my house from the dust. They also put plastic over all the appliances and cabinets to protect them. The floor looks great and the clean up they did, left the room like it looked upon their arrival.

The work they did perfectly matched the 3 rooms that the previous owner had done. The job was completed under the expected time. We had got 3 estimates and they were by far the most reasonable. They used discarded white oak, from a neighbors project, to match mine to do repairs and it looks fantastic. The crew showed up on time and really worked hard the entire time they were there. We were very impressed with the work they did on our older (1926) home.

The process went well from start to finish. Very professional job. I would use this company even if the price were higher on the next project.

We were extremely pleased with the quality of work performed by Jeff Rodgers and his workers. His price was very reasonable when compared to other quotes we received. The Angie's List discount took off an additional 10%. Jeff went to great lengths to walk us through the entire process prior to beginning the job, also making recommendations on what would work best for us. He matched the size of the existing wood which was smaller than the standard 2 & 1/4 inch, integrated the new wood into the old in doorways, sanded and stained all the wood, and applied 3 coats of finish. When finished the entire floor was seamless and beautiful. His workers were polite, considerate, and did a good job of leaving the site clean at the end of each work day. The job was completed quickly. Jeff had his guys cover the floors with ribbed card board which allows them to breath and protects them until we move in. He even left us a cleaning kit and thorough instructions on how to best clean and maintain the floors. We couldn't be happier and will be using Rodgers Flooring again when we install hard wood in a room we will be finishing upstairs. We wholeheartedly recommend Rodgers Flooring to anyone considering installing wood floors.

They did a good job. They did what they said when they said they would do it. They showed up on time and finished on time. They worked with the owner directly on the estimate. The price was good and I got a 10% discount because of Angie's List. It saved me $250. I called around and they were a little bit lower but with the discount, it made them a lot lower. The floors look great and we love them. The owner was very professional. The workers were fine people.

They showed up on time, did a great job sealing off the affected rooms with plastic to keep down the dust, and completed the job on schedule. We are totally satisfied with the service provided by Jeff Rodgers and his team.

Jeff's crew did a good job. We're pleased with the floor. Jeff used a new painter for the stairs who didn't do a very good job. He brought another painter in, and had his men work on it until we were satisfied. We would hire him again.

Jeff met me at the house for the quote. His price was very competitive and he was also able to start fairly quickly. His crew did a good job of sanding, staining, refinishing and patching the new section in. Where they patched into the old floor it is only noticeable if you knew that it has been done. No one visiting has noticed it until I've pointed it out and explained that the new wood is slightly lighter. So they did an excellent job there. I didn't give Rodger's an A for quality because the attention to detail wasn't as high as I would expect for that grade. They didn't fill some of the holes where the carpet tacks had been in the door thresholds and a few cracks. If I could have given them a B+ then I would have. I have since recommended them to a friend.
