Everything went great! They got to me the very same day that I called. The gentleman who came was very professional and it only took about 45 minutes to get all my locks rekeyed. I recommended this company to my sister when she needed her locks rekeyed. I would positively use them again.

It was great. They we nice and professional. You could tell that they know customer services makes repeat customers. I'll use them next time I need any locksmith work.

I called regarding service, and the employee who answered was very helpful. As it was, I didn't need the service I had thought I would. The assistance was exceptional.

We just moved to a new home in Homewood and we had a locked garage to which we didn't have a key. So we called Harbison Lock and Key, Inc based on the reviews on Angie's list. They came out the next day. Harbison performed the service, unlocked the garage and provided us with a set of keys. No complaints there. When I got home, I realized they charged over $100 for the service. When I scanned the detailed bill I saw that they charged $35 for the work and $5 for the material. That seemed very fair. Then I noticed $65 for a and quot;trip feeand quot;. I thought that was a little excessive since we live in Homewood, which is the same town the company is based in and because I've had other services performed on the house that took longer and required the company drive a longer distance that didn't charge a fee at all as opposed to $65. I called the office and spoke to two different people about this and quot;trip feeand quot; and they responded it was a charge they've had for the last several years and that other locksmiths charge more than that. This 'reasoning' that 'everybody else does it so we do, too' didn't validate a $65 charge for a 2 mile trip from their office to my home. Again, I'm not complaining about the work done and that's reflected in the ratings, I just think the and quot;trip feeand quot; is a little excessive. With all that said, knowing that there is a trip fee, I will take that into account when deciding to do business with this company again.

Called because I was locked out after my key broke off in the deadbolt lock. They were able to come by 9am (I initially called at about 6:50 am). They called me back after my initial phone call to say they wouldn't be able to arrive before 8, and that they would call back at 8 to see if I still needed someone. I did, and the locksmith called when he was on his way. He was very professional, very thorough, and I thought very reasonably priced.

Harbison was friendly and easy to work with on the phone to schedule an appointment. They called to let me know when they were on the way and arrived as scheduled. The work was completed quickly and to my satisfaction.

I tried to take the custom lock off of the front door, so I could take it down to the shop to be re-keyed. A secret little set screw below the handset defeated me, necessitating the more expensive house visit. (The locksmith explained the set screw to me very patiently.) When I called to explain over the phone that I had the lockset half-on/half-off the door, he was tactful and came right out. The entire process took less than an hour. He was neat, worked around and with my rather hyperactive, escape-artist dog, turning me down when I offered to put the dog in another room or outside. I thought the service was excellent, and the price reasonable for a house visit with a semi-disassembled lockset with hyperactive dog.
