About us

Guin Service began in 1958 as a group of specialized mechanics to compliment Guin Company s mechanical contracting company. W.C. (Bill) Guin knew that to have a successful contracting company he must have top mechanics to start-up and service contract jobs. Over the years the contracting company grew to one of Alabama's largest by doing quality work and providing exceptional customer service. In the mid 90 s as the top management of the company began to retire, the decision was made to discontinue the mechanical contracting division. Because of the loyalty of the employees of the service department and their many customers, the service company became an independent operation. Through the leadership of Ricky Lockhart, Manager; Keith Rotenberry, Assistant Manager; and Peggy Rice, Office Manager, Guin Service Company has continued to thrive. Associates Marvin Watson, Richard McDonald, Dewayne Todd, Tommy Thrasher, Jay Guin, Gary Rice, and their teams, have continued the legacy of friendly customer service. Each associate is highly qualified with 20+ years experience. As everyone knows, to have a successful business you must have the best people and Guin Service LLC has the best. Guin Service LLC has been in business since 1958 and strives everyday to make sure that customer satisfaction is guaranteed. Guin Service LLC is also a Certified Service and sales dealer for Generac Generators. (Bill) Guin, is retired but remains available for backup to the team. Joseph Braswell, a fourth generation member of the Guin Service family, started working with the company Jan. 2011 as the Director of Marketing and Customer Service. It is Joseph's goal to continue to build upon the reputation of Guin Service LLC, through community involvement and an unwavering approach to 100% customer satisfaction.

Description of Work: Unstopped upstairs tub drain and repaired trap. Cleaned sink drain upstairs. |Installed lavatory faucet in downstairs bathroom. Guin provided prompt, honest,courteous and friendly service. They also cleaned up before leaving. |I had received a service call from a different company about my stoppage problem and claimed I needed a more expensive repair job.I was charged $75.00, the repairman left nicks in my tub from the cable he used, stepped in my tub with his grimy shoes on ( it had been a rainy day), ran water in the tub afterwards which turned into a dirty mess, and finally said I needed a more expensive service repair. When I asked if he was going to clean up, he said he didn't have any way to do so. I dipped about three- fourths of a mop bucket of dirty water out of the tub, and finally cleared the remaining dirt out and then saw the nicks around the tub drain. This company was sent from American Home Shield Service Center where I have had a contract for years so I will be terminating my contract at the end of the service period. However, my experience with a professional company like Guin restored my impression of plumbers.
