They were honest with me and did not install any system that I didn't need. I was impressed. They did not have the exact part but they did have a part that they could make it work and so they were able to get the parts that was needed. I would use them again in the future.

I found the company on Angie list I called the company because I had a leak on floor in front of my door. I thought a pipe had burst. So Marvin and Melvin Watson came from Guin's plumber department. From just looking at the floor and the location of the floor to my air conditioner they informed me it wasn't burst pipe, but water from my air conditioner. They went upstairs to my air conditioner unit and discovered a leak. I asked them for a cost for the discovery and they told me 'no charge' because I found them on Angie's list, and because no service was performed. I forgotten that until they reminded. me. As they were going to leave, I forgotten I needed some other things check out in my home. They agreed to help me. Marvin Watson fixed my commode within 10 minutes and double check it. He explained to me the basics of the water flow in the tank of the commode. While Melvin Watson was fixing my garage disposal (out of service for 5 years) He pulled out crazy objects such as a spoon with a hole in the center. large plastic white stick and other odd objects I can only blame my possible neice teenagers who lived with me years ago washing dishes. Anyway, Melvin explained in simple terms how the garage disposal works. He allow my sister and I hands on practices for feeling any obstruction. Melvin didn't have to share his knowledge with us. But, I felt his compassion to help us as much as possible. Those were the only charges given to me by the Watson. But they were nice enough to have the Air conditioning Man Brain who came 2 hours after they left. 2 Services in the SAME DAY!! Brian also was great. I did have problems with my air conditioning. He blew out the drain and added freon; installing PVC union in my drain line, changed and washed filter. Brain also explained the the filter; which hadn't been washed wasn't a washable one, but a disposable on. He recovered the washable one upstair and pointed it out to me. He clean the filter (after 2 or 3 years) of no cleaning. Brain as well gave me advice on my unit. His cost was $215, but now I am on their service plan. No cost up front for their plan unless used as the other 3 companies I dealt business. They both explained my leakage underneath my floor needed another professional . They didn't pretend nor try to service the floor because they knew it was above their skills. Which I am happy they admitted and didn't try just to charge me for labor. The best part is that they all had badges of their company logos with pictures. As 2 ladies in a home, it is very important to have SECURITY RELIEF in maintenance calls. They will be my one service company provider. I plan to have Melvin and Marvin maintain my plumbing yearly. THEY ARE GREAT!

I have used them a couple of times. They are very responsive and their prices are reasonable.

I had water dripping down from one of the recess lights in the family room on Friday evening. Called several plumbing company but no one could help until Guin responded. They came the next morning and made the diagnosis of my problem. Since nothing needed to be done, they did not charge me anything for coming out On A Saturday Morning!!! I had used them to install my water pressure regulator and the service and professionalism was A+. I will never call other plumbing company but go directly to Guin.

The gentleman pointed out that it needed some pipes and updating of the top parts; we had it done and I appreciated that. He was on time, quick, and explained everything. It was worth the price.

The plumbers were great. They went beyond what I expected in terms of friendly service.

Came as promised and completed work quickly and neatly. We were told by two other plumbers walls needed to be removed to get to bathtub drain issue. This guy had a tool and took care of it in no time at all with no damage at all. Very pleased. Unclogged the pipe and washer is now draining fine. $225.00 was a bit high for the time work took but it was worth it to have a plumber who knew what he was doing. Nice guys and clean house! Would use again.

They were very personable. The first time they came the logs were too big for the fireplace. When they installed the new ones, they did not charge me for the previous service. I felt they were more than fair.

I have used Guin numerous times and each time they do an oustanding job. They are always prompt, professional and reasonably priced. I will be calling them again soon to replace a sink because I can always depend on their work.

Took several hours for the service rep to contact me after my initial call to Guin for emergency service. The rep was very polite, but I chose to hire another provider based on Guin's high price. Found another provider who did the work very quickly for less than half Guin's estimated cost.

Arrived on time, traced the problem quickly, fixed the problem. Nuf said. The guys were even polite and pleasant. What more could one ask? The charge of $85 was more than reasonable.

I thought I might have a water leak in my yard and I called Guin. I called Thurs. afternoon and Dwayne and Alex were here first thing Fri. morning to check. Dewayne explained that it was only water that had soaked into the ground from all the rain we've been getting. I live at the bottom of a hilly area and the water was just draining through my French drains. Thanks goodness! In my head I was seeing $$$ from how much it would cost to dig up my yard if a pipe had burst and this visit didn't even cost me a service call fee because i'm an Angie's list member. Dwayne and Alex were very nice and professional. They put my mind at ease. If I do have a real plumbing problem next time, I will definitely ask for them.

Contacted Guin on 2/24/2014 Spoke with Chris. Asked for an esitmate for a project we needed to complete on our century old home. we had 3 outside water faucets that needed to be replaced. variious things wrong with each of them. Wanted the pex pipe replaced with copper. finally therewas a water faucet that comes up in the middle of the back yard. has never worked and we decided that we should see about getting it working again. We set an appointment for Tuesday 2/25/2014 AFTER 3pm when my husband would be home to talk to the plumber. 2:15 Tuesday 2/25/2014 my phone rings. Hi, I am the plumber from Guin is this a good time to come by? No, the appt. was for after 3:00 pm so my husband would be home. Ok let me call the office and see if another plumber is going to be coming out. 10 min later phone rings again. Hi, office said I was the plumber to come out. so since the stuff is outside do you mind if I come look and wait for your husband. I said no problem but he gets home around 3 and that is when you can enter the crawl space. well about 2:50 he pulls up comes to the door and 5 min later my husband comes home. so they proceed to walk the property and discuss what we as poperty owners and the customer want. The plumber kept saying are you sure you want to spend that kind of money on this? The plumber never really acted as he cared about the job. When he left he said he would call with the esitmate. Stange usually an estimate is in writing...but never the less we waited for something we never expected to come just becasue of the attitude of the plumber. well it is over 72 hours since the pulmber and his assistant left our property and we still have no estimate. Century homes are a challenge to work on but not impossible. Just not sure why "this" plumber was afraid to actually do some work.

Prior fill valve would stick and toilet would not fill after a flush. Replaced old unit with a new one.

The plumber from Guin (Marvin) arrived in the morning at the rental house with water heater, stand and other equipment. The tenant was there to let him. The plumber replaced the heater and also fixed a problem with the water pressure, which was too high. He charged me a flat rate for the entire job, including parts and labor, and also charged extra for fixing the water pressure problem. The cost was higher than what a Home Depot installation would have cost, but I read a lot of bad reviews about faulty equipment purchased at Home Depot and places like that, and so I decided to go with a professional plumbing company with good local track record in case of problems, as their work is guaranteed. Previously I hired Guin to replace two toilets and fix a leaking bathtub, and for that job I bought the toilets myself (Home Depot this time) and only paid for the labor, which made everything a lot cheaper. The work in both cases was done well and the plumber seemed like a real expert - I trusted him to do a good job. Next time I have plumbing work, I will definitely call Guin again. Also, I liked hiring a local business that pays local taxes and helps support the city. Update: After more than a year, the tenant reported that the toilet was rocking. Guin sent a plumber out to correct the problem (installing a shim) free of charge. They really stand by their work.

They broke due to the cold weather. Tech was there more than 30-40 minutes. Did not know how much until the job was finished. Bill not itemized. No detail. I think twice and ask before work is done.

I contacted Guin Service on 1/27/14 to come out and fix a leak in my shower drain. I was told that someone would contact me that afternoon, or the next day, to come out and look at the problem. I never received a follow up call that day, or the next. I contacted Guin again on 1/30/14 to ask if they still had my service request and was told that it must have slipped through the cracks. I was told that someone would come out that next day, and that I would be contacted 20 minutes before arrival. I never received a call from a service technician, and I never received a follow up from anyone at Guin. I contacted Guin again on 2/5/14 to see why they hadn't previously contacted me. I was told that they dispatched it to a technician on 1/31/14, but couldn't confirm if the technician called me or not. I received many calls that day, but none from anyone at Guin.

I would called Guin again for my plumbing needs.

After talking with Joseph at Guin, I realized that there was largely a misunderstanding on my part. The issue was resolved to my satisfaction. They seem genuinely interested in making sure that their customers are happy.

Perfect. Problem was kill switch on furnace not being depressed. Some tweaking and all is well.

** Revised ** Joseph from Guin called me immediately after seeing my original review (below), refunded my money, and apologized for the poor service. He was very professional and courteous, and I really appreciated him reaching out to me after my bad experience with his company. I have since rated Guin an A overall based on his responsiveness and customer service. ******************************* We called Guin when our sewer started backing up in our basement bathroom. The appointment person was very nice and professional. She sent out two guys who have equipment on their truck specifically for cleaning out sewer lines. First, the guys were supposed to come out the day following my call. They never came because they were busy elsewhere. Fine. We just didn't run water unless we had to. The next day, they came out in the afternoon (were supposed to come in the morning) and looked at the shower downstairs, saw it was, indeed, full of gross water and said they needed to clear the main line. Then they looked around outside for the "main line access," and, after spending a while in the yard, they came in to say we had no main line access and they would have to run their hose down through the roof spout and into the sewer, which would cost me over $100 extra than it would have if we had a "main line access." Knowing less than zero about sewer lines or access or anything in that neighborhood and needing to use the water in my house, I agreed. However, they said because it had begun raining at noon or so (keep in mind they were supposed to have arrived much earlier in the morning), they wouldn't be able to get on the roof to do it until the next day, which was supposed to be dry. I said fine. They arrive the next morning punctually, get on the roof, run their hose, pull out some gobs of roots and call it a day. I asked if they got the line to go all the way done to the street and they said it had. The water was draining downstairs, so I was happy. Two days later, it backed up again. I called the Guin guy, who said he would have to charge me again to come out and run his line again. I complained, so he said he would take a look for free. He came and ran the line from the roof again and got more gobs of roots and said "we finally got through to the street this time." (He'd already told me he'd made it all the way last time! Clearly not true). He then offered to do a root kill down the drain for $250 or so, which he said would take care of the root issue. I agreed because I didn't realize you could buy the same thing for $15 on Amazon! He dumped the root killer down the drain nd then he left. The drain was draining, so I crossed my fingers. Two weeks later, the drain backed up AGAIN. I'd had it with Guin, so I called Trinity Contractors. They came out, FOUND THE MAIN LINE ACCESS IN THE YARD!!! (this really put an exclamation point on Guin's incompetence for me) and ran their line, pulled up gobs upon gobs upon gobs of roots, charged me a lot less than Guin and the drain HAS NOT BACKED UP SINCE. Needless to say, I would never call Guin again for anything.

It went very well, explained everything before he started. Very professional and it didn't take as long as I thought.
