Description of Work: We originally wanted to hire Details to only clear away brush and get the lawn ready for spring. They were only taking new contracts at the time so we signed up with them. Details is providing fertilizer and weed control to our lawn and cutting the grass every 1st and 3rd week. They really do a great job and allowed me to get away from having to do weekend yard work

Description of Work: We've lived in this Southside town house for over 25 years. Our yard and shrubs have never been so healthy, or looked so appealing. I was afraid we were losing our grass. It's in the shade and the terrain is a bit steep and rocky. It has never been as plush. They just show up, usually two guys, and go to work. If they poison the weeds, and/or fertilize the grass, they leave a small sign on a plastic stem: " Keep your pets, yourself off the grass" for (maybe) 48 hours. Or water. Or don't water over specific hours. We have a 12-14-foot high Holly shrub-tree, and it has never been so carefully shaped. Twice a year I used to risk my neck, balancing on a ladder while I tried to trim the bloody thing with one hand. They show up with the proper equipment, without being asked, and shape it in minutes. I noticed them working once, and offered them a Coke. They just shook their heads and kept working. I've even called and left a message that I appreciated their prompt and professional work.

Description of Work: MIchael and his crew trimmed my HUGE azaelas - had not been done properly in several years. Also trimmed two huge holly trees and tackled my over reaching lorapetelum bush. It took several hours for nothing electrical was used - they cut by hand! Polite, punctual, cleaned up - and Michael even finished off a large shrub that I had been trying to tackle at no charge. I didn't even ask him, he just did it! I can't rave enough about Michael and his business - plan to use them for all my landscaping needs. They are wonderful!:)

 + 0 morequick, professional, conscientious, took initiative--Michael Collins, the owner, even took cell phone photos to show me that our roof vent boots had large holes in them--something he noticed as he was blowing clean the gutters. He had no financial reason to do that, as Details doesn't do that work, and we've had other workers/companies on the roof before who probably noticed the problems but didn't take initiative to even mention it. Michael and the Details crew left our yard beautifully clean and neat and were a pleasure to work with!
Description of Work: cleaned gutters, incl.opening downspouts, cleaned and removed leaves from large turf areas front and back, numerous beds, 2 patios and 2 drives, spread 2 large piles of mulch to backyard beds, supplied 10 bales of pinestraw-delivery, installation to multiple beds in front, pruned numerous bushes, small trees in front and back yards, cleaned all areas and disposed of refuse

 + -1 moreI am extremely pleased with this company. The owner, Michael, was responsive and handled everything over the phone while I was at work. He is very professional. I received 2 estimates from him first, then I picked one and the work started immediately. I can not say enough good things about this company.
Description of Work: Details is now performing monthly yard maintenance. They are coming twice a week for summer and fall and then once a week during the winter months. They have now come twice and the work is excellent. My yard has an enormous amount of leaves and pine straw that had accumulated for a month. They also cleaned off my roof (my house is small with one level).

 + -1 moreGreat. Michael, the owner, was able to meet me early one morning for a quote in the same week I initially called. He was very professional and prompt and explained what Details' services would include so I would know what to expect. His billing was consistent with the quotes. His team did a great job every two weeks, cutting the grass and edging very cleanly. Also, we had a dead, diseased fallen tree in the back yard of our house. My family hadn't touched it since moving in the house because of poison ivy on the tree. Much to my delight, I noticed Details had taken it out for us when cutting the grass, without extra charge! I used Details services while my husband was away for the summer on business and stopped service when he returned. However, I would never hesitate to use them again in the future and recommend their services.

 + -1 moreMichael Cowan, the owner of this service, is an incredibly nice and intelligent man, and the free estimate was fast. His crew came out later in the week to do the work, and when I got home, my lawn looked better than I had ever done it. Their edging skills in particular are impressive. He left me a bill, which I paid via mail. I have already scheduled him to perform regular service for me, he is much less expensive than the other two services I called.
Description of Work: Details Lawn & Landscape mowed and edged my front and back yards, and they trimmed the hedges in the front of my house. My front yard was thick with thatch--it had not been mowed in A YEAR AND A HALF, but because it's emerald zoysia, it had just grown thick and not tall. They told me later that it took them several mow-overs to bring it down, but they left it tall so the live grass was still there on top.
