Excellent work, quick and efficient. Placed an online order and was scheduled within 24 hours. BOTH garage doors work so much better. Will definitely use this company again, extremely pleased overall.

Charles and his helper arrived a half hour early ? very personable but low-key guys. They went right to work and discovered that the stubborn door merely had dirt-dauber nests in the tracks. They cleaned out the tracks, oiled the wheels and tracks, and worked the door up and down. Fixed! Then Charles looked over the other door and said it was in good condition but working a little too hard. So he cleaned out the tracks there and applied oil here and there and the door returned to its old smooth self. He didn't charge me for the worked I'd requested online (2 x $77) but rather for the work he did ? $49.99 total. Integrity.

He and his helper were earlier than the original appointment, but he had called ahead to get agreement to come early. He came and analyzed the problem and corrected it. A very good contact.

Charles replaced the rollers, lubricated the tracks, adjusted the tension on the cables and made the door run quieter than it has in years. Originally there was a mistake in the scheduling. I requested Friday morning and he confirmed the time, but somehow it was posted on his calendar for afternoon. I could not be here in the afternoon, so he offered to come out on Saturday and perform the garage door repair for no charge. I insisted on paying him, but he did lubricate and adjust both garage doors and I was very pleased with the job he did. Charles McDonald runs a very honest business, he was very nice and will definitely call him again, when needed.

Charles, owner/operator, came and serviced our noisy 12-yr-old garage door openers. He lubricated them and made adjustments. Fifty minutes and $100 later, they work better than new! So pleased with his professionalism and efficiency. Will definitely call him again.

Took two really loud garage doors and made them quieter than when they were new. Showed up early and did a good job. I will hire them next time.

Charles gave me a really straight forward quote. He didn't try and sell me anything else like new doors. He was on time for the quote and the installation. He removed all of the old motors and chains that didn't have the safety features I wanted and hauled it off. He installed the new motors quickly and efficiently. His wiring job was neat. I like neat . He said he would throw in a keypad for the outside. When he looked on the truck he didn't have it so he told me he would bring it by later. He got busy and I had to remind a couple of times to bring it out. He did a few weeks later and installed with no charge. The price seemed to be in line with the other two quotes that I got. The new Master Lifts are a LOT less loud. I can barely hear the doors open from the upstairs and I still have wooden doors with metal rollers. Charles had told me that he didn't think that I would need new rollers. It was true. Again, straight forward.

Charles came out on 01/09/05 to replace our garage door. It looks gorgeous! After a few uses, we had a minor glitch that Charles came back out and fixed right away. Any company that does great work with such superb customer service is a company that I would recommend to friends and family. As a matter of fact, my mother in law has already scheduled an appointment!

On Sunday night I brought the door down on my car bending it in half. I contacted Garage Doors 4 U by message here on Angie's List. I also called them and Charles answered. I told him what happened, he said he would be here at 8 AM the next day. He was on time, a few minutes early. He did a temporary fix and we discussed repair vs replacement. The appointment was set for Tues afternoon to do the replacement. They came right on time Tuesday and were completely and thoroughly done a hour and a half later. Very good attitude, punctual, professional and affordable. I'd recommend them every time.

Provider was early, which was a pleasant surprise! He was professional and efficient. He did his job well, and as an extra, synch my car with the opener! I would highly recommend this company!

I really appreciate the way they handle their business. He gave me a good price on a replacement unit and gave me other options as well. He wasn't pushy on upselling and I chose the top model. It is fantastic. They showed up on time, did a great job on installing the unit and returned as pronmised for a follow up visit. I wish all of my transactiosn were this great. I love the new door opener; it has an app that allows me to operate the garage door from my phone from anywhere. I use the feature way more than I ever thought I would. These are great people to do business with.

We had a mishap with our garage door, and Charles was extremely responsive. He came the same morning and banged the panels back into place so that we could use it until we replaced or repaired it. I was undecided which route to take, and Charles was patient with me and even told me he wouldn't charge me for the visit if I didn't opt for replacement. I decided to have him replace it, and he ordered the door and came back and installed the door by himself (amazing), and charged me what he had quoted. My only caveat is that he doesn't seem to be set up to deal with wooden doors. To be fair, he tried to discourage me from going with a wooden door because it would have to be painted and might take longer to order. However, because of the age and look of the house a metal door would have looked odd. So I insisted on a wooden door and he told me it would arrive primed. I'm not sure whether his supplier sent the wrong door, but I didn't realize that it wasn't primed until it was installed. In response to my question about it, Charles said it was primed (I thought it might have been some kind of clear coat, but closer examination showed me that that was not the case). My painter bailed me out by coming out that same day and priming it, which was crucial because it rained buckets the next day. Later I was reading all the little stickers from the manufacturer and learned that their warranty is no good unless the door is primed and painted before assembly (apparently so moisture can't get under the hardware). I marked on the review form that I would use Charles again, and I would, if I wanted a metal door. For a wooden door I would go with someone who is more set up to deal with that.

I contacted Garage Doors 4 U through the Angieslist email system. He responded within minutes. We set an appointment for the next day. He arrived exactly when he said he would. His service was very professional. He was very knowledgeable and personable. Very happy!

I spoke with Charles over the phone and made all the arrangements. I did not have to be at the home which was great since I live in New York. He installed both garage doors with runners although there was no power . I recently got power to the house and the doors needed minor adjustments, I called him and he was prompt to respond even though he was very busy . Thank you I would definitely use his services again

Good, the gentleman was on time, polite, and professional. He readily identified the problem, a broken spring. A few weeks later another problem occurred and he returned. He pointed out the problem in just a few minutes and recommended that I order and inexpensive part online and replace it myself. He showed me the simple process. As recommended I purchased a part online for about $10.00 and replaced it as he instructed in about 5 minutes. He could have done the prepare himself and charged me $50.00 - $100.00

The big deal was for $77 for each door. The technician was responsible and very professional. He answered all my questions and did an excellent job.

They were great and very accommodating. We accidentally had the wrong address on Angie's List somehow and the Garage door company was able to reschedule for that same day. We caught them right before they left to meet us in a complete different city. We will be using them again for our garage door needs should we have them in the future. They were quick and did a great job!

I called and was asked the problem. I described the problem and Charles told me how to fix the problem myself and save a $50 service call. This guy is as honest as the day is long. I will definitely call him if ever I need a garage door repair. I wish all vendors were like Charles Thanks!!!

Great service. I will use anytime that I need anything done to my garage doors. Our door made horrible noises and would make a huge slamming sound many times after it closed. Came out and serviced it and it is so quiet and runs perfectly!
