Charles came over and gave estimate and was very professional. Work was performed in a couple of days and was done in about 2 hours. He did an outstanding job and will definitely use again and refer to my friends.

The work was completed on time and professionally. The recommendations to fix the other door issues worked well and saved us from buying a new garage door. Will do business with again.

One of the cables of our garage door had snapped in half two days before I saw the add on Angies List. I called the number listed, spoke with someone right away and had an appointment in couple of hours. He was prompt and very polite. He stayed in the garage for about 20-30min and replaced the cable/parts that had broken. He also secured several loose screws/bolts of another part of the garage door (that we didn't even know was loose) and did not charge any extra.

Charles responded quickly to my request for an appointment and was happy to work around my schedule. He arrived on time with a friendly and professional demeanor and immediately inspected my garage doors. He pointed out that the doors already had new rollers (which I suspected, since we had the doors serviced a couple of years ago), but he would be glad to inspect and lubricate the other parts. When I mentioned that my safety beams weren't working on one door, he inspected them and agreed they weren't functioning as they should. Since I didn't need the rollers replaced, he offered to install a new set of safety beams and call it an even swap. He did all the work quickly and efficiently. When I signed off on the order (with no extra or hidden charges, just as he promised), he stated that all his work includes a lifetime guarantee, and that if anything ever goes wrong with what he did to let him know. We've recently moved to a new address. Mr. McDonald of Garage Doors 4 U had installed new garage doors at our previous address. He did an incredible job. Those doors work so smoothly. Anyhow, at our new address, both garage doors are in good condition, but both were not working properly. Mr. McDonald diagnosed the problems quickly and replaced springs on one of the doors. The old springs were for a wooden door, and we have steel doors. He made adjustments to/replaced some hardware as well as lubricated all moving parts. He arrived early and was done with the work within 30 minutes. He charged me $150 which I believe is reasonable. This is my second experience with Garage Doors 4 U, and when I need additional maintenance on my garage doors, I will most certainly call Charles McDonald. Excellent and professional!

We thought the garage door cable had broken. The door was closed on one end and about 5-6 inches off the floor on the other. After calling several garage door companies, one wanted $125 per hour and another would come give an estimate and do the work on the spot, we went with Garage Doors 4 U based on their excellent Angie's list ratings. We were not disappointed. The guys came exactly when they said they would, were quick to solve and repair the problem, and, when asked, offered an easy way to replace our aging, two-car garage door with two separate ones. They saved up a lot of money and we will definitely use them again.

I called Charles based on the reviews on Angie's List. He came out to take a look at my garage door opener that had stopped working. Since the unit was over 25 years old, there were no parts available to fix it so I opted to have a new system put in. We scheduled him for two days later. He arrived early and worked quickly. He even made a quick change to the other door opener and didn't charge anything to do it. Very nice and professional, would recommend to others. When the other ancient opener dies, we will certainly call him to install a new one!

Called Charles at 10am and he was looking at my broken door by 1pm. Turns out was a simple problem that he fixed in 5 minutes and did not even charge me a service call (I gave him $20 for gas). Good guy. Straight shooter. Highly recommend!!!

Charles arrived on time, was very professional, and my husband and I were thrilled to hear that we did not have to completely replace the doors. He completed the repairs within an hour and made sure we were comfortable with the work. Charles was a professional gentleman and I am so glad that I found his company on Angie's.

I moved in to a new house on Friday and somehow during the move the garage door ended up coming off the tracks and ended up in my driveway. My realtor made 6 calls Friday night and did not get anyone. I logged in to angies list and called Garage Doors 4U Saturday morning. In about an hour someone was at my house. He reinstalled the door and had to reverse the springs as they had apparently been installed incorrectly. I couldn't be happier with the service. I would give them a hundred stars or an A+ if I could.

Owner worked me in on a cold Saturday morning. Arrived when he said he would. Was professional and personable. Fixed my broken mechanism and serviced all moving parts before he left. Completed work in under 30min. I would use him again. Exceeded my expectations.

Garage Doors 4U installed two brand new garage doors and hardware. The owner, Charles McDonald came by on Saturday and gave us two separate estimates depending on what type of work we wanted done. He was prompt on Saturday. Today, he was running about 30 minutes late, but called about an hour beforehand to tell me that he was at the wholesaler picking up the door and would be late. He explained that the door wholesaler was short-staffed, so there was a line and delay. When he arrived, he got right to work and completed the job in two hours (which is what he told me about how long it would take). He cleaned up and carted away the old doors and hardware. I would recommend him highly. Plus, it feels good supporting a small businessman who is on his own.

Mr. Mcdonald worked for approximately four hours to install the door and we are elated with its performance and his handiwork. He demonstrated how the new remote works, as well as the base control on the stairwell, and we couldn't be happier. Everything works beautifully! This gentleman cleaned up after himself and called to ask for permission to return to pick up a tool or two, then he was on his way. I highly recommend this company to anyone who appreciates professionalism, courtesy, punctuality and an overall excellent job.

Garage door torsion spring broke and could not get out of garage. Husband was out of town and had no other form of transportation. Called and they rearranged their appointments to come that morning. Incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, fast and respectful. Inspected both doors, made adjustments and advised how to maintain the doors. Lifetime guarantee on their work. Would recommend to family and friends without hesitation.

My garage door cables came off track, and the 13-year-old springs were stretched strangely, so I couldn't get out of the garage. Garage Doors 4 U came out 15 minutes earlier than promised and had me up and running with new springs in half an hour. It's been about five months, and I haven't had any problems since. He definitely made money given the time to fix the problem, but his punctuality and professionalism were worth every penny.

Garage door opener wouldn't consistently open door or would only open door partially. Called for service on a Thursday, Charles McDonald came by on Saturday. Appointment was scheduled for 2pm, I went out that morning and returned at 1pm to find Charles waiting for us. Polite and professional, he explained that he was running ahead of schedule but he offered to wait until 2pm to fix our garage door opener if that was more convenient for us. Needless to say we asked him to start right away. He quickly fixed the problem and charged us exactly what we were expecting based on the over-the-phone estimate. I will call Charles again whenever I have a problem with my garage door.

Charles, the owner, came to our home and reviewed the state of our current garage door which had multiple cracked panels and provided an estimate for both replacing the existing panels as well as completely replacing the door. Due to the fact that the cost of replacing the door was only a little more than replacing individual panels, we opted to have the door replaced entirely. We scheduled the door replacement to take place later the same week. Charles, both professional and courteous, performed the install himself. The quality of the work and materials was excellent and the new door has functioned better than the our original door ever did. Charles pointed out that the old door was improperly installed when the house was built which caused the creaking and stress, ultimately causing the panels to crack. We had received two other quotes for the replacement and Garage Doors 4U had the fairest pricing of the three.

Whole process was quick, service was prompt and polite, price was right. We would definitely call on Garage Doors 4 U again.

The owner, Charles McDonald, was courteous, returmed calls promptly, professional, on time and very neat in his appearance.Also, his truck was clean and neat. Charles went right to work and did not stop until the job was finished. He took old doorswith him which saved me from having to find out just how to dispose or recycle them.

Upon coming home about 7:00PM, the garage door would only open about two inches and then go down and come back up and then stop. My husband's car was inside. We could not open the door manually. After trying to open the door ourselves, we decided this was something the professionals should look at. I checked Angie's List and called Garage Doors 4U. Mr. McDonald came out immediately. He was neat, clean and professional. The large spring on our double door garage was broken. Our opener is a Lift Master. Mr. McDonald had the parts with him. He replaced the one spring with two ,which is what it was supposed to have on it. I checked on line. He also adjusted, tested and not only lubricated the springs and rollers but showed us how to do it. The doors opens nicely and does not make the terrible grinding and screeching sounds it was making. He did all this in about 15 minutes. We felt that the price was excellent.
