Everything was absolutely perfect! I would definitely use their services again and will recommend them to my friends. the service was prompt and professional. Every person I have talked to has been polite and incredibly helpful!

It took a while after I called for the guy to come out and do the estimate, but he was really nice when he did. He answered all of my questions, never rushed or anything, and gave my quotes on other services I asked about. Then it took a while after that before they made it out to remove the tree, but they did an excellent job.

They cut down the 12 trees, removed them and cleaned up trimmings. Also pruned a birch tree that was not in the bid. Nice people to deal with.

They we're prompt and professional with coming to give an estimate and perform the work.

On August 5 , scheduled for 1:30 2 men came at 4:15 complaining about a big job done before. Michael did excellent work topping trees the other guy did a lousy job trimming the hedge sides and top, part of ot lokking almost like a roller coaster . Micheal ran out of time to finish the bush removel on the North side. Both were exhausted after 2 1/2 hours work. They cleaned up very well. on Sep.11 Michael surprised me coming back and finished everything to my liking, again cleaning everything up perfectly. Now I am still waiting for the tree stump treatment promised in the proposal. Michael says it is done by another section of the company.

Scheduling was a little confusing but once scheduled they arrived on time. Crew was great. Stump grinder came later that afternoon but had the bigger machine that would not fit through fence. He is supposed to call and come this week.

Poor communication between their Wasilla office and Anchorage office. Promised to have work done by certain day, and it didn't get done. Said they were overbooked. I had to follow up twice to get a committment to come out and do the work. Saw one worker doing something dangerous and not following OSHA guidelines. There are other companies out there that are just easier to work with and charge about the same.

Scott from Gage Tree service came out to give me an estimate, he took all the information and said it would be done in a week. He called the night before the work was done to let me know he would be out. I was at work all day and when I came home everything was done, cleaned up and exactly the way I asked it to be. I called the next day and paid over the phone, this company made it very easy for a working person to have a job completed with no worries. I would definitely use this company again and recommend them to anyone who needs work done.

We had two trees blow down in windstorms that winter, and both had done damage to our neighbor's fence. We had one tree removal company come for the first tree, and their service was poor. The guy never showed up for the first appointment we set for an estimate. (I was out front of the house letting my daughter play while we waited for him to arrive; he called the house, and when we didn't answer assumed we weren't home, so he didn't drive over). He ended up removing the fallen tree, but we did not call him the second time, and called Gage instead for removal of the second tree that fell. In order to protect our home and our neighbors we decided to take out the row of tall birch trees along the fence line we share with our neighbors, as well as others in the front yard. We called Gage again, based on the service we received with the second fallen tree. Response to the request for an estimate was prompt. The day of the removal the crew arrived on time and were careful and thorough, as the location of the trees could have impacted our neighbor's home and fence. The crew cleaned up the areas where they had worked, and even tied one of the young trees that was not taken out to another stronger one for support, since they had removed the tree that had been supporting the young one.

Gage came out to the house about a week later than we expected BUT they were very very professional and took down the trees carefully so that there was no damage to the house or the wires. Gage cut the trees down to the ground! and got rid of all evidence of the trees. Their prices were very fair, and we would hire them again. Job well done.

After looking at the tree I wanted cut down, the estimator quoted me a really high price for cutting the tree, removing the debris, and removing the stump. I told him that I only wanted the tree cut down. He then quoted me a price (also very high) to cut the tree down and remove the stump, because "it's important to get the stump out of there", but that it would be two trips because I would have to remove the debris before they could get to the stump. I again tried to get a price for just cutting down the tree. At that point, he told me he had some leeway, and wanted to know what I was willing to pay. I gave him the price my neighbor paid a different contractor a few years ago for a similar job. The estimator said he couldn't do it for that, and quoted me double that amount. It all seemed a little shady to me - I just wanted to know how much they would charge me to cut down a tree. I know prices go up over time, but their high pressure upselling ended up costing them the job. I ended up using a different tree removal service.

They did an excellent job cutting down the trees with no damage to the house or outbuildings. A very professional job.

My husband and I received an estimate based on a referral. We set up to have trees trimmed and received a and quot;no later than dateand quot; of 1 September. My husband called the day prior and spoke with Carrie. She couldn't find our paperwork and said the crew must have it. She was supposed to call back but never did. I called after the weekend and spoke to Heather. Again, couldn't find our paperwork and no notes of previous conversation. I asked Heather to call me back one way or the other on if they could still do the job for us. She informed me she would call me back. Again, no return phone call. I called and spoke to Heather again two days later and she was making excuses on how they've been busy with and quot;emergenciesand quot;. I asked her to have the owner call me and again...no return phone call. It's been over two weeks and still no return phone call. I'm sure they're good at what they do if you can actually get them to do the work they promise to do. Maybe the company has gotten too big. We have given up on them and would not recommend them based on the time just attempting to get them to return a phone call.

we were very pleased with all aspects of the service from Gage Tree Service. We will be calling them first for any future jobs we need done.

lWe had Gage Tree Services come out to cut down and trim some trees in our yard. Because of a slight miscommunication between my husband and me and also between the person who did the original estimate and the crew who performed the work, they had to come back for a follow-up two weeks ago. That was fine and due to understandable errors by both parties. However, on the follow-up visit, I could hear the crew outside complaining and speaking very negatively about me and my husband and the fact that they had to come back. They also complained that the work order should never have been agreed to as it was written, and that the work order was not written clearly enough. This went on for several minutes; they apparently thought no one was home at the time. My husband called the office just to give them a head's up about what happened. Before he even lodged his complaint, he was told he would receive a call back the following week because they were swamped with work at the time (due to a major wind storm). We did not receive a return phone call the following week as promised, so we called back. However, the receptionist who answered was rude and snarky, and questioned my version of events. She also said that since we'd allowed so much time to elapse, there wasn't anything she could do about it anyways. She repeatedly asked what we wanted her to do about it. We'd already paid for the service by this point, so it wasn't that we were asking for any money back - just an acknowledgment or an apology. Bottom line: The work they did on the trees was fine, but their customer service and professionalism are awful across the board.

I can't remember exactly how much it cost. I've had tree work done by Gage twice and have them scheduled to come out a 3rd time in the next couple weeks. Scott Gage is great to deal with and makes a very fair and resonable offer.

They were fast and efficient, they cleaned up after themselves, and removed the debre for me. Easy to talk to and punctual in performing the requested service.

They were professional, came when they were supposed to, and they did a great job.

We don't know how much we spent on their services. They are friendly and efficient. They have the proper equipment and 7.24, fantastic equipment. All of us here in this general area use them. Their pricing is okay. We've had them before as well. We had to have a tree removed because we were building a stone wall, and they were very professional.

The price was competitive. Overall, I rate them highly. I would certainly use them again in the future.
