Description of Work: My tenants were without heat, and they were able to get the furnace going again. The transaction seemed to go smoothly, and the furnace has continued to run since then.

Description of Work: Contacted to check the heat in a rental home in Eagle River. I talked to a couple of men in the office. After explaining the tenant had small children and was from the Deep South and not used to the cold of Alasaka I was told they would give tenant a call but it might take a few days. Someone called the tenant that day and actually worked her in during a break. She said work guy showed up on time and even worked around her schedule with kids appointments. He was quick and called after the work was done and explained it all. I had thought I knew what was wrong with the heater so I wasn't too concerned about the cost. He did tell me that the originally maintenance I was going To have him do was not needed so that saved us a bundle. I had asked the office to call us before the work was done but actually I was called after the work was done. I would prefer to be called ahead of time for a large issue but without hesitation I would reccomend and I would use again.

Description of Work: We had a total gas boiler and hot water heater replacement. |I was very happy with the service. They were very professional and I could tell they enjoyed their work. Had a radio on and joked back and forth. Loved the ease they had including me in the joke whenever I checked on them. At the end of the 2nd day, the garage was clean and all debris was removed. This was a heavy expense for us and they made it easier to spend the money and feel great about the job. On top of that...it's very nice to look at.

Description of Work: My furnace stopped working. I found Moore at the top of Angie's list so at the very least I expected courteous service. I told the man who answered what my problem was. His response was: "We can get to you around the 25th". I said: "You don't understand, I have no heat. I need help ASAP. ". He said : " That's all we have. If you want someone sooner it's gonna cost you $265 just for the service call, plus parts and labor and we still won't be there till after 5pm. ". I called J.C. Turpic Mechanical and they were here in an hour. Put in a new thermal coupling, a thermostat, inspected and adjusted my furnace for winter and my total cost was $190. I will never use Moore and will discourage anyone else from using them.

Description of Work: I had annual maintenance done on my boiler. The service person was profressional and seemed to do a conscientious job.

Description of Work: I bought a new, high efficiency Lennox furnace 1 year ago and Moore did a great job on the install. I have had 2 problems since then, and both times Moore came out the same day to make minor adjustments to the system. I'm very happy with my furnace and with the Moore's service!

Description of Work: We use Moore Heating and Cooling every year. They were here last week to do our annual service on our boiler. They checked it out, found a leak and fixed it; they cleaned it and did a servicing.

Description of Work: Ryan Griffin came to my home to give me an estimate on replacing my boiler and water heater. He has extensive knowledge on this kind of work and he impressed me with his thoroughness. He took the time to explain the different systems to me in a way that I could understand. He explained that he was an installer for many years before moving up within the company. I had 4 estimates from different companies and Ryan, by far, was the most knowledgable and professional. I was disappointed to learn that he no longer did installations though. If he would have been the installer I most definitely would have hired him. The reason I went with a different company was because I saw a couple of mediocre to bad ratings on Angies' List for installations by this company. Also, the price was significantly higher than the price of the company I used. Again, if Ryan had been the installer, I would have paid the extra money and hired him because I'm 100% confident he would have done outstanding work.

Description of Work: I will not comment on cost, since every body around here is charging $120/hour. My Boiler was making what I consider excessive noise. The tech flushed the system (with a hose I supplied, since his was frozen) to remove air and replaced some parts as well as ordered other parts that he said needed to replace, even though those sytem parts were working fine. When he returned a few days later to install the parts he did not have all the wire and mounting hardware he needed so I supplied some and he waited for a runner from the shop to bring the missing parts. The wiring job was pretty sloppy and did not look like professional job at all. The recipt he printed from the handlheld device was completely unreadable so I am not even sure how the charges made. After all this the sytem makes more noise than ever and after spending $1000 i have some one else looking at the system. Use Angies list and use someone else.

Description of Work: Called Moore due to a problem getting heat to one of our bedrooms. Tom came out (after hours) the same day and did some troubleshooting. What I thought was going to be a complex and expensive problem turned out to be a simple damper problem. Tom fixed it up and wouldn't take any payment for his housecall. He even called back 30 minutes later with some more advice on how to operate our system. I would absolutely use them again!
