If there is a way I could give Brian a higher rating than an (A) I would! He is just fantastic! I had an appointment with Best Buy to do this work yesterday .. Saturday ... and Best Buy just screwed up and never showed. I searched Angie's List and left a message for Brian. He called me back within a couple of hours and I said to him what happened with Best Buy and that I really need this done ASAP because I was having hard wood floors installed tomorrow. He made a special trip to come to my house on Sunday to get the job done! He was so professional and did just a perfect job. I am so glad that Best Buy screwed up. I couldn't speak more highly of Brian. He is excellent at what he does and just as excellent of a person on top of that. Brian is very precise and thorough. GENESIS AUDIO IS THE BEST IN TOWN. WE HAD OUR HOUSE BUILT AND OUR BUILDER (A VERY LARGE ONE IN TOWN) WOULD NOT LET US SELECT OUR A/V COMPANY TO PRE-WIRE, BUT GENESIS AUDIO HELPED ME DESIGN THE PLACEMENT AND TYPE OF WIRING AT NO CHARGE (WE DID BUY ALL OF OUR SPEAKERS FROM THEM). THEY ALSO HOOKED UP THE SPEAKERS IN MY FAMILY ROOM UPON OUR MOVE-IN AND GOT MY COMPLETE A/V SYSTEM HOOKED UP TOGETHER WHICH WAS NO SMALL FEAT. THEY CHARGED ME FOR ONLY ONE HOUR OF LABOR WHEN THEY HAD TWO GUYS THERE FOR 2 1/2 HOURS DUE TO SOME CABLES THAT I DID NOT HAVE AND THE DIFFICULTY OF THE A/V SETUP. This company is a pleasure to work with. Dan attended to every detail and made sure I was happy with the final results. Dan came out for an estimate, helped me pick speakers within my budget, was prompt and courteous and ultimately delivered a good product. He and his crew installed the speakers in a very professional manner, and even did so in under the estimated time (how often does that happen?). This install was in an existing home, and involved fishing wires through a finished basement. After previous estimates came in higher, and included cutting in drywall, Mark came over, and offered careful consideration as to just how many holes he needed. He seemed to take it as a challenge to cut as few as possible. this install has to be described as surgical. There are literally no visible scars in my home, with two holes in the ceiling of my basement covered by switch-plates. An additional hole, just as small, was patched without asking by resolution audio, and is ready for paint. They did a great great jobshow more

The team came out promptly at 10:00 am and worked steady until 5:00 pm to install out new TV over the fireplace mantel. The plaster walls and wood and plaster surrounding the fireplace were difficult obstacles for running the HDMI and electrical but The Theater People overcame these and had my TV installed. When all was said and done and we turned the TV on there was no signal from the cable but it turned out a inexpensive elbow connector was to blame. If I told the whole story this would be 14 pages long, so I will give the short of it. My builder suggested this company, which is the only reason we went with them. After working with Lee for almost a month and a half, I thought we had everything in order. He even walked through the house with me during the construction phase to determine where we wanted everything placed. However, during their install, things were not put in the places that I had specified and they had to be moved, which they did. I was having them prewire our great room for my current speakers and surround sound. I had given them the type of speakers and the model receiver that I already owned (which was not hdmi compatible). They wired everything for HDMI. Now my tv is HDMI, but the receiver is not. They put a coax cable fitting on the "outlet" that was to be wired for my subwoofer. And when I explained all this to them they wanted to sell me a new receiver and an adapter for the speaker. Now, let me go back a bit... we were not having much luck with the salesman, and infact he accidentally emailed me their pricelist in the process... Once we found this and looked at some things, we could not believe that they were up charging things as much as 200%! We started dealing with Eric (one of the presidents of the company) and even after he knows that we have this price list, he wants to turn around and sell us more?!? We were spending more than $6800 with this company already. They were supposed to install the "punchdown" that housed all the wires and cables near a specific outlet and they installed it on the other side of the room and when asked about it, I was told that I would have to have an outlet installed (at my cost) near their box so I could plug in the cable modem and router. (I don't think so!) They got our money, or at least all but about $500 of it, and now that the house construction is complete and we are ready for them to come and finish their install with the receiver for the basement that we had bought and to hook it all up and get it all working... we can't get them to return a call. They called me over two weeks ago telling me that a remote would be shipped that Tuesday and wanted to know when they could come and finish. I told them what day I was off. And that didn't seem to work for them. Now I can't get them to call me or my builder back. My builder has even decided to go find someone else to finish the install for me (at their cost). I am very disappointed with this company. They are like a stereo-typical used car salesman. They install the wrong stuff so you have to spend more money with them to get it to work right. They also lied to me and made me feel as if I was a stupid idiot. Now I will admit I am not a genius when it comes to speakers and surround sound, but I had installed it myself at my old house and had everything sounding just fine. But when I explained to Eric that my receiver was not HDMI compatible, he told me that I did not have true surround sound and I couldn't have had it installed right. Really?!? That's funny. I didn't realize that surround sound hinged on HDMI and that surround sound wasn't surround sound until HDMI came out. I guess that means that until 7-8 years ago when these HDMI receivers came out there wasn't any such thing as surround sound. Secondly, he told me that they have never had a complaint against them with the BBB. Now it took a bit of searching, and emailing the BBB before I found out that they do indeed have a complaint against them, as it took me emailing the BBB just to find their company. They have a Facebook page and everything on it makes the company seem like the greatest thing. So I did a test. I had a friend post a negative comment, just saying that they would not recommend this company, and it got deleted. So, just know that they will do what they can to make themselves look good.
