It went very well. They were extremely professional and accommodating. They were punctual and treated us and our property with utmost respect and care. They managed their subcontractors well and always accompanied the subcontractors when in the house. They cleaned up immediately after every subcontractor and after their own work. The quality of the work was excellent. They provided consultation on all purchases and were very helpful in selecting things such as tile, granite and paint color. JOHN WAS EXCELLENT TO WORK WITH. HE WAS PROMPT, HARDWORKING, AND THE QUALITY OF HIS WORK WAS GREAT. HE TOLD ME THAT HE PLANS TO RETIRE FROM THE ARMY RESERVES (WHERE HE SERVED IN IRAQ) AND LEAVE HIS CIVILIAN ARMY JOB SO HE CAN GO FULL TIME WITH HIS HOME MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR SERVICE. AT HIS ARMY JOB, HE DOES A WIDE RANGE OF MAINTENANCE AND ELECTRICAL WORK. HE IS SKILLED IN BOTH MIG AND TIG WELDING. HE ALSO HAS BUILT ENTERTAINMENT CENTERS AND DONE CABINETRY WORK. H&TH is a very reputable and dedicated operation. I had a tight deadline and Pat the owner came out to estimate, submitted a proposal the following morning, and the work was completed within a couple of days, spanning a weekend. Pat's wife runs the office while he is out working the field, and she stays on top of all communication, estimates, and billing, so you always have a point of contact who can respond to you quickly. During the job, even though one of Pat's subcontractors turned out to be unreliable, Pat showed up in his place and performed the work that the subcontractor was supposed to do, and completed the work on time despite the tight time frame, and even discounted a portion of the work because of his subcontractor's tardiness. All aspects of the process were handled professionally. The bidding process was thorough: Chuck Snyder, company owner, visited 2 times to review program and provide a bid. He was open to our program requirements and budget. During the construction phase, there was some discovery of problems with existing plumbing systems. These were reviewed with us and resolved satisfactorily -- we're very glad they were proactive on this matter, as the plumbing works better than in the recent past. Marburn was sensitive to our aesthetic requests. They give me confidence that the project is well-managed and well built. Marburn is a 'Can-Do' operation. If there is a problem or request, they give it attention and provide alternate solutions. They know how to approach construction issues, and which subcontractors to contact. Bob Dyas brought all of his subcontractors prior to giving an estimate. We met these individuals and asked and answered questions. From beginning to end of the project Bob Dyas would communicate with us daily, often several times a day. His timely communication was so appreciated. He and all subcontractors were responsive to our requests and demonstrated professionalism. Susan Dyas was also helpful is providing a "woman's" perspective related to color selection etc. my husband and I cannot praise the competence and quality of the work that Dyas Home personnel provided to our project. I've used them before, and this time he had to use a subcontractor since there was a window where the surround was meant to go. The subcontractor did all the drywall and removed the window. It was a lot of work, but it came out great. My wife added some extras, which added to the price, but he had to get some parts for the tub (handheld shower, safety faucet). At the same time, I was having my drop ceiling in the kitchen redone, which was very messy. The ceiling worker couldn't proceed until an out of place pipe was moved. Dale Norton came over and moved the pipe- he took time out of his schedule to help with other work (kitchen plumbing wasn't part of the deal). I would recommend himshow more

GOOD OVERALL HOME BUILDER. RESPONSIVE DURING THE BUILDING PHASE. SLOW AND SOMEWHAT UNRESPONSIVE DURING THE WARRANTY PERIOD. THEY, LIKE MOST BUILDERS, ARE AT THE MERCY OF THEIR SUBCONTRACTORS. FRAMING AND CARPENTRY AVERAGE TO GOOD. ELECTRICAL AND HVAC GOOD. PAINTING CONTRACTOR WAS TERRIBLE, DRYWALL WORK ONLY AVERAGE. WOULD RECOMMEND THIS BUILDER, BUT WATCH OUT FOR THE SUBCONTRACTORS THEY USE. KEEP AFTER THEM IF PROBLEMS APPEAR. WATCHING HOMES IN MY AREA GET BUILT BY DIYANNI OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS, I'VE NOTED CHANGES IN THE BUILDING MATERIALS USED (COMPARED TO MINE) THAT APPEAR COST-DRIVEN.
