The salesperson took his time with us and explained everything to us, and only sold us what we wanted and did not try and push other items on us, like the other companies that we had out to our house. Ron (the salesperson) was on time for our initial appointment and was very informative, this was our first experience with an alarm system, and he was so very helpful and a nice person. He did a great job. He did not try to over sell, just gave us exactly what we needed. Jessee was the installer and he was also very helpful, fast and efficient, and very nice. He also gave us some helpful hints regarding security in general. He was on time, and did a great job. We couldn't ask for a better experience. I love how easy it is to set the alarm, we have a remote and it is great. Our alarm is working great and we now have peace of mind when we leave the house. Called for a in home estimate of a home security system. Made a appointment with Don Shick for the next day. He showed up right on time. He explained to me and my wife that he could provide just about any leveli of home security we would want . He then ask us what was important to us and what would make us feel safe. We bantered some questions back and forth and then designed a system that would meet our needs. Don took as much time as needed to explain things and there was no high pressure sales at all. We scheduled installation five days later. Dayne Shick did the installation in about three hours and when he was done completely reviewed all aspects of the system, the control module, on line capabilities, and smart phone capabilities. Simple to install. No wiring just stick up equipment to windows and walls with easy adhesive. Safe for painted surfaces and removable plus you can reposition if needed. You can choose no monitoring or three levels of service. (Still much less than the other guys) No long term contract. No contracts. I got the service that lets me set up and program my system online plus monitor and operate the system via my smart phone. If you need customer service they are American based friendly and knowledgable. After three months I added smoke detection for each floor. Our fire alarm through ADT started going off, we called ADT to tell them all was okay. They didn't show our system going off. After three dropped calls to ADT, asked to speak to a supervisor and he was actually more difficult to talk with then the initial sales/service rep. We've had ADT at 2 houses over 6 years - giving them the benefit of the doubt, but are switching to another company in a week when our 3 year contract is up. Bottom line is -- my family doesn't feel safe with their service. What would have happened if there was a fire, they had no idea? Isn't that the service we are paying for? What's even more frustrating is this isn't the first time we have had issues with response time and awareness of a problem with the systemshow more

***First, we've used Don Shick since 2008. The initial install went well and over the years, we've had a successful and seamless service with Ultimate Technology. *** I contacted Don on the 11th of March, and we made a mutually agreeable time for Don to check the trouble code after ATT had been in our home installing UVerse. The first question Don asked, "Has anyone been doing work at your home?" I didn't think a TV install was relevant, but that's when the problem began! Apparently the ATT tech had disconnected or cut the alarm wire for our glass sensor. With the size of our home, and extensive wiring, Don suggested using a wireless sensor to replace the previous "hard wired" sensor. Don and his son had the appropriate replacement part and the work was done within minutes. The cost was only $99 and I feel safe and secure knowing Ultimate Technology is monitoring our homeshow more

If you go to what you think is an ADT site on line you might get Security Choice which appears to be ADT. They sell ADT systems and set appointments for installers. The fee is $99 plus tax which and quot;insures you will be there to meet the installer.and quot; They promise a $100 Visa gift card to reimburse for the charge once you sign up. However, the sales reps breeze by the information so quickly in a lengthy list of disclosures at the end of the conversation it's easy to miss you must go to their web site within 30 days and download a form with their special code number to apply for the gift card. When I didn't get it I called and, of course, it was too late! I complained and they agreed to send it anyway although I haven't seen it yet. I will amend this review when I get the $100. Also, the rep pressured me to agree to the most expensive package, insisted on a social security number and quot;to check my creditand quot; and wanted a credit card. When I called ADT monitoring services the first time, they told me that they were not receiving a signal from our alarm unit. They said I could trip the alarm myself and I would need to let the alarm continue for at least 60 seconds so that they could check the signal. It was 10:00 at night and my infant was sleeping so I passed. They told me to call back later, when it would be more convenient to trip the alarm. I called the next day after the same trouble code appeared on our display panel. Again I was told they were not receiving a signal from our unit. Again, they suggested I trip the alarm but after I expressed my concerns about doing so with my infant in the house, they said they would sent a technician to look at the unit instead. The earliest available date was 6 days away! I told them I could not even be at my house that day since I needed to be at work. I expressed to them that I was home alone while my husband was traveling and that I needed someone to look at my system sooner. They put me on hold with someone from scheduling. I was on hold for over 30 minutes! They person in scheduling was NOT able to get someone out sooner and since I could not get off work, the next available time that worked for me was over a week away! They said that would credit my bill for the service they could not provide me. The total time I was on the phone was over 45 minutes! I would much rather have my alarm working and feel safe at home alone with my infant than have my bill credited. First off none of the equipment is reliable. Door sensors are affected by cold and will quit working. Motion sensors will be tripped by pets despite what SimpliSafe says. They flat out lie that pets under 50 lbs will not trigger the alarm. This is patently false, do not believe them. They even admitted to me on the phone that changes in light and heat can affect them! Also, the glass break sensors can be triggered by other loud noises such as something hitting the house (like a tree branch). I tried everything they told me. Re-positioning sensors, changing sensitivity settings, turning sensors upside down, replacing equipment, everything. The helpdesk is nearly useless and also unprofessional. Multiple times they would fail to return my calls or leave emails with questions unanswered and hanging. What is worse the help desk is only staffed until 6 Eastern, M-F. I often work until 6, so if I needed support I needed to wait until the weekend if I wanted to talk to someone. Their product is worthless, their service is a joke. If you are a SimpliSafe customer then I feel sorry for you because you are simply not safe with their faulty equipment. Stay awayshow more

I ordered the alram system expecting it would keep my home and premises safe. They sent a couple of incompetent guys out who promptly set up the alarm system-a unit on the front door, a unit on the back door; drilled up from the basement so they could attach it to the phone system. When I woke up the following morning, the sensor unit was lying on the floor (whatever glue they used sucked); I assumed it is the responsibility of the "selling company" to provide what they had advertised...a working alarm system. They said basically "too bad" when I complained but they would fix it if I would pay them a $100 and I said why should?pay you for it is your responsibility to give me what I am paying for. So nothing was done. Next I went to the Ohio Attorney General who was as stupid as the alarm company--for they sided with the alarm company and told me to pay them for 3 years for a non-working system. They told me the company had offered to fix their incompetent work if I would give them $100. I told the company I would fix it for $100 myself if they would send me a?check in that amount and they said, "no they would not pay me a $100. (I have seen many complaints on Alarm companies on the internet including this one for locking customers in for a period of 3 years, and then they try to extend it another 3 years if a person does not inform them they want to quit within a given period of time. There are ads going right now which show house break-ins to scare people into renting alarm systems. I just wish there were some honest alarm system companies around but I would never do it again-get a DOG. Even Consumer 10-A-Gram was shocked that that the Attorney General would go along with these rats, but they are Democrats and don't care about people. I got a call yesterday on my answering machine from the Chicago office offering me some kind of incentive to "sign up again" as if I would - their monitoring is so good they never noticed that the system has never been turned on in 3 years (except for one day when my wife was carrying a toddler by it-accident); but I did call using their 800 number just to see if this was the Chicago office that services me and they said "Yes, they do it nationally." They said they were recording the call. (I did not mention that I was having any trouble only that are you my servicing office which they affirmed.
