Samsung Appliance Repair in Columbus

We had a problem with a Samsung microwave. We called Northwest, told them the problem and they advised that we call the Samsung service. If the problem was what they thought, they would have to call Samsung to get the part and have it installed. Northwest would have to bill us for a service call; a call that would result in no service being provided. We called Samsung, they came out and looked at the problem, ordered the part and installed it. It was exactly as Northwest thought. We appreciated Northwest's advice. 7-year old fridge stopped working. Display said both freezer and refrigerator were OFF. Didn't see anywhere in troubleshooting section of owners manual about situation, so I did a little research on repair companies on Angie's List and called Appliance Pro. Jim answered and said he could have someone over in couple hours. Jim arrived himself at time promised, followed shortly by his assistant Andrew. He took a look and said he believed fridge was in Demo Mode. Sure enough, it WAS (somehow we must have accidentally set it into that mode)! Jim reset it and the display returned to normal operation and fridge started cooling again. Since we were paying for a service call anyway, Jim then proceeded to check out compressor, just to make sure it was in good condition - it IS, thankfully. So very happy that problem was something so simple and didn't cost us anymore than diagnostic charge! Response to our call was prompt, Jim and his staff are very courteous, and without a doubt, if we need appliance service again, Appliance Pro is #1 on our list to callshow more

When I checked out the "authorized repair company" for Samsung here in town, the majority of their reviews were quite negative. So I called Appliance Pro based off the positive reviews. Was very pleased by the work performed. Initially had a repair service from Columbus, OH out but the company was unprofessional and incompetent and created an additional problem. As such, I called DeWitt to explain the issue (worn out freezer hinge- the original problem and inoperative water dispenser). In two days, Casey DeWitt came out with the replacement hinge and repaired that problem. He also troubleshot and solved the water dispenser issue caused by the previous "repair" company (hoses were switched)show more

Jim was very professional and very knowledgeable of the Samsung FD refrigerator. He explained all the costs for parts and labor prior to leaving to get the parts needed. Installed the parts and was finished. He was training a young man to help and went into great detail about everything he was doing and why. I will definitely call Appliance Pro for all of our future repairsshow more

The service man changed the sensor, cleaned the ice and provided 90 days warranty for the part. The refrigerator worked good for 90 days and again it started the same noise on 91st day. Called the sears service center and they said, it's out of warranty now. I have to pay again to change. Not sure the part worked or not. I bought the sensor online and changed using online videos. It costed less than $10 and 1.30 hours workshow more

First i spoke with Samsung direct, and while helpful, I still needed a repair faster than they could provide. I called another company and they did not repair Samsung appliances so they gave me Scott's number. I called Scott at 8:00 AM and he came to my house the same day with the part to fix my dryer with him. He had it repaired in probably less than 30 minutes. I was impressed with his work, his punctuality, and his price was fair. I will definitely call him for any other appliance I may need fixed in the futureshow more

The technician, named Easy, came to our house in a timely manner. After spending about a half hour assessing the appliance and discussing the problem, he recommended that I call the company to see if they would fix the problem themselves. In the end, they did, and I was changed nothing for the visit by the technician. I felt that A1 lived up to the high rating they received on Angie’s Listshow more

The same technician who came out to troubleshoot the issue also came back to do the repairs, nice guy, courteous and knowledgeable. He told me about the issues with Samsung and let me decide on if I wanted to pursue the repair or replace the unit, I chose to repair which was a bad decision on my part. I should have known there was something up with Samsung when the first two appliance repair companies I called said they were not able to work on this brand. Anyway the repairs were made although it did take quite a while to verify and resolve the issues (freezer would not stay at a consistent temperature and the ice maker broke a couple years after the initial purchase) even after replacing the parts which Samsung verified needed replaced. The Technician went the extra mile by manually defrosting the freezer at which time everything started functioning as it should for the next few weeks. Just last week the same exact symptoms started again. At this point we are using our chest freezer and will replace the entire refrigerator this fall. I don't blame Northwest Appliance or the technician for this, I blame Samsung for extremely poor design and engineering (I watched the repairs and spoke at length with the technician). This was the second unit I received after the original purchase, the first one went south within 48 hours and all contents (except for the beer of course) had to be thrown out. This was the one which replaced the first one and it only lasted 8.5 years, not long for an appliance. Needless to say, I'm done with Samsung, everything I've bought from them including my TV has needed repairs. Waiting for my phone to go next. I was told early in the morning that they would arrive between 1 and 5 in the afternoon. The didn't show up until 7:00 p.m. with out a phone call or apology for being so late.! Turned out the pump on my washing machine went bad. He said it should be covered by Samsung if we call. My husband called Samsung while the repairman waited. Samsung covered the pump and the full sevice on replacing the pump at NO COST TO US. The repairman said we weren't allowed to tell Samsung he was at the house to repair and he would have to charge us for the service call even though Samsung said they would cover everything. He went on about his boss giving him a really hard time if he didn't get the service charge... even though SAMSUNG said they would pay for everything. Once again he told the story of being afriaid of getting yelled at by his boss. Then to top it all off he said it wouldn't cost us anything to do the service work once the pump was in and as soon as the pump was in they would call us. My husband got a phone call from another SAMSUNG authorized dealer first thing Monday morning and it was NOT this company out of Plain City. Very upset because I used Angie's list to call this appliance repairman. We are out $100!!!!! Still waiting for SAMSUNG to send the pump and get service. Not very happy and would NEVER USE THEM!!!!!!show more
