Technician arrived on time and checked door on freezer portion of freezer drawer refrigerator. Freezer was Icing up and I had tried unsuccessfully to repair with weather stripping. Removed weather stripping and determined that freezer was not closing tight due to bent frame on fridg. tried adjusting freezer door but could not be adjusted enough to seal. Helped with decision to finally let this old fridge go to the recycler in the sky. Helped me stop throwing money away on a project doomed to failure. He spent about 45 min with me and answered all my questions. was polite and helpful and dud not try and sell me repairs that were in his opinion not likely to succeed. Would use againshow more

Took 2 visits. First visit was evaluation of the problem. He replaced the main computer board. The refrigerator brand had had some problems with the comouter board. This didn't solve the problem. Second visit he brought a new blower motor and installed it. The old part had a flap that was stuck open which let cold air contiuously flow into the refrigerator compartment. Problem solved. 10-year old Frigidaire freezer stopped working. Jim responded the same day and was out the next morning. Went to supplier and secured replacement switch, and when that did not solve the problem, went back to supplier and secured electronic control panel, which did the trick. Gave us parts at his cost, and only charged for one service call. Total bill was 1/2 of what a new freezer would have cost, done within a day, and saved $500-$700 worth of food. Great. Jim, the owner, came after regular working hours (at approx. 6 pm). Drawer sprockets were out of alignment - one side of drawer out of alignment with other. Very minor fix to drawer, which he did fix and showed me how to do it if it happens again. Will call Appliance Pro if we need other appliance repairsshow more

i called around lunch time and they squeezed me in late in the day. the tech was friendly and very knowledge. the refrigerate was not cold and was around 51 degrees. here started by emptying the freezer which i thought was working fine. i told him there was nothing wrong with the freezer and he explained how the refrigerate is cooled by the freezer. he then took the cover off the cooling unit and sure enough is was covered with at least 3" of ice. you could see where the defrost element hand burned out. he then replaced the elements which he had in his truck and we where back up and running . the refrigerator is working fine know and i even learned something about how a refrigerate freezer works. i will highly recommend them for any appliance repairs in the futureshow more

The freezer in our GE profile fridge was not holding temperature. I called Appliance Pro from Angie's list to fix the problem. Jim called back quickly to schedule an appointment. He came out promptly and was very courteous. He looked at the fridge and gave his best estimate of what was wrong. He then told me to contact the proper people with GE and we discovered the fridge was still under warranty and a GE tech would have to perform the work due to the fact that the repair was in the ?sealed system? part of the fridge. Jim was very helpful at navigating me through the 1-800 call center run around and I was able to schedule a GE tech to complete the repair. Jim then surprised me by not charging me anything for his time and effort. My freezer lost power so i called A 1 after hours. A couple hours later they called me back and walked me through a process to clear the error caused by the power failure, It worked so there was no need for them to come out. Super friendly and knowledgeable, price was very fair for work done. Gave a year warranty on the ice maker replaced in our freezer. Gave honest assessment on dishwasher that replacement would be better investment than repairs. Only minor critique is missing the two-hour arrival window, (by just a smidge). Jim showed up on the day and time agreed upon and went right to work on the problem. He diagnosed and corrected the problem with the drain path. He also made some suggestions about keeping the freezer and drain working better from this point on, to keep the problem from happening again. He was done quickly and cleaned up his work area.
