Nicholson Builders
They work is so high quality and we are totally impressed with them. The work that they did is worth an award and they have won awards before. They have won the VIA awards and some other awards and they definitely do award winning work. We spent about $100,000 on all that work. They did just beautiful work. They also brought in an Amish cabinet maker who built our kitchen cabinet which is just screamingly beautiful. Their attention to quality is what stands out. This house was built in 1929 and they wanted to make the remodel fit with the ambience and d?cor of the house. It is definitely a brand new kitchen but it definitely fits into the style of the home. They replaced certain pieces of flooring in the dining room and you can?t even tell they are new because it just blends and matches so well and they are very good at that. The cork flooring in the kitchen is beautiful. Their price was a little higher, but it matches their quality and was definitely worth the extra

Matt took care of everything for us from the permit to the approval by the County, to the approval by the Home Owner's Association. We didn't have to do a thing. He was honest and told us what he could and could not do. The finished product is an absolute masterpiece and Matt came in right at budget

Ed Compton Construction Inc
Project was a long one. Gutted just about 1/3 of the house, top to bottom. Removed a wall to create more open space for a off kitchen dinning area. Removed all ceiling and wall drywall along with the old cellulose insulation in ceiling area. Ed found a problem with the ceiling rafters/joist that was not properly supported so they had to cut in, add joist hangers and put in a pair of new stringers for the support. Ed and Tom put in new insulation in the walls and ceiling. Re-worked the electrical with new lines, boxes, outlets and also ran 4 new lines from the breaker box. They added some additional boxes for ceiling lights and for a garbage disposal. Removed all the old interior door and replaced with solid oak doors. Tom did a fine job at finishing the doors, 9 doors total. All new door trim and base board added, again they was finished by Tom. All new drywall put in, 40, 12ft. sheets. All new Armstrong Alterna floor tile was put down on top of new laminate floor sheeting. Tile was adhesive glued, butt jointed with no grouting in diamond pattern. Walls and ceilings was painted. New kitchen cabinets installed on feet with no toe kick. Ed reworked some of the plumbing to accommodate a new built in dishwasher. Installed new 36inch Range hood for the new Thor gas range/oven. Ed also replace old bathroom fan and that was a big improvement. Ed also made a new pantry area with a frosted glass pantry door installed. Ed reframed a wall to accept a 36 inch frig and recessed it so it would be flush mounted with the kitchen cabinets. Ed and Tom also in one day built a new front patio deck with new railing. Removal of the old cement stoop was hard and a electric jack hammer was rented to finish with. Ed skirted the new deck with the same vinyl siding that they installed last year on the house. Very nice curb appeal now. As I said before this was a big job, and the work shows excellent results. I would like to also say thank you to the following vendors.. Dianna at Famous Supply@Newark for the design and cabinets. Granville lumber for the nice wood and railing for the deck. Cambria countertops for the beautiful countertop in the Lancaster design

Teeters Windows & Remodeling
This was the largest remodeling project I'd ever been involved with. My general contractor was Ryan, who became like a member of the family during the 5 month process. He kept me informed and updated with a schedule that changed constantly. We began with architects' drawings and plans. They were open to changes and ideas we had. The addition was added and the exterior wall of the house was actually torn down while we were away on Spring Break! Ryan and the other workers even had to chase one of my cats that got out. The cabinets were purchased from another company and one of their workers actually did the installation. He was very attentive to detail and trim. I absolutely love my new kitchen

We are very satisfied with the final product. Interactions with owner were outstanding. Helped us select the best materials and configurations to fit within our budget, and stayed within the original estimate. A major reason of why we choose this company was because it promised a designer that would do most of the leg work in the selection of colors, materials and other construction components - this ended not being the case and our involvement became very significant. Day to day supervision was clearly lacking, resulting in numerous mistakes that delayed the project very significantly. Yet, the owner was very responsive to these shortcomings and took care promptly of all the costs that resulted from their mistakes. The project took almost 10 months - this long time was not justified by the magnitude of the work, or by any estimate that the contractor provided us. Very often workers would come only once or twice a week because the company was over-committed and had nobody that could come and continue with what was started. On the other hand, the workers had always a great and respectful attitude. The owner and workers were always open to suggestions or to make a change here and there to be as non-intrusive as possible

This was one of the best companies that I have ever dealt with. The owner provided us with a free estimate and explained all the work to be performed, cost comparisons, a listing of references, pictures of previous work performed, start and completion times. The workers were there when they said they would be, kept the area neat and cleaned up the area when they completed the project. They also added an exterior door to the kitchen for a nominal labor fee. I had faith enough in the company to give them access to our home while my husband and I were both at work. We are completely satisfied with the results and would highly recommend PRODECK
