Nearby Maytag Dishwasher Repair in Columbus

I was pleased with this encounter. My dishwasher quit working right before Christmas. I called NW Appliance I think on 12/23 and scheduled an appointment for 12/26. They gave me a 4 hour window - 8-12 basically. My dishwasher was just under 5 years old and based upon my research on-line, I thought repairing might be the better way to go v. replacing. I suspected my problem was either the control panel (touch pad) or the control board. On 12/26, the company called at 11 and said their employee would be there in 10 minutes - and he was. He inspected and determined it was the control board. Their quote was fairly consistent with what I researched on line - around $300 or so with labor. They ordered the part and called me on 12/30, stating the part was in. I scheduled the f/u appointment for 1/2/14 between 12-5. Once again, they called before their arrival and installed the control board. I am so happy to have a working dishwasher again. .Jim was timely in returning my call, scheduling an appointment and arriving at the appointed time. He diagnosed the problem and said that two parts would needed to be replaced. He ordered parts and came back a couple of days later and installed the new parts. At that time he discovered anther issue that would make the new part short out if not addressed. He recommended getting a new dishwasher instead of further repairs. He took the new parts back out and reinstalled the old parts. He only charged me for one service call even though he was here two times and ordered parts. I appreciate his honest opinion that it would be better to replace the dishwasher and that he did not charge me for the new parts he ordered specifically for my repair. i will most definitely call him again for future issues with other appliancesshow more

Jim was at my house within a couple of hours. He called when he was on his way like he promised he would. We discussed issues I had started noticing. Jim did some diagnostic tests and was able to reset the controls. He isn't sure if this will fix the issue so he took down the model and serial number in the event we need to order new parts. I appreciate his honesty and advising that we may be jumping the gun to replace a part (contol panel vs key pad) when he isn't sure what might be causing the issue. Joe came out to see what the problem was and give me an estimate on Monday, January 8th, the same day that I called for help. He had to order the part for my Maytag dishwasher because, as he explained, Maytag's don't break often so they don't carry extra parts. There was a $35 fee to come out, but that would be waived if he did the repair. I asked him to do the repair. The wrong part arrived on Tuesday. The correct part came in on Wednesday, and he called to schedule a time to meet. I couldn't take time off work to meet Joe at my house, so he was great to work with me to find a time that would. He came out on Thursday afternoon and changed the seal. He also repositioned a hose to the dishwasher to stop sink water from backing up in the dishwasher. The total cost was $110 - $35 parts and $75 labor minus a $5 discount for being an Angie's List member. Joe was courteous and a pleasure to work withshow more
