Called for an estimate and assessment of issues of settlement in our yard. Norm was very personable from the first contact, timely with initial appt, and very knowledgeable. Norm walked the entire property assessing what needed to be done and pointing out issues that we hadn't noticed. He throughly explained what would be done, timeline for completion, and provided a quote for the work to be completed. Norm started and completed the job within 4 days of the initial appt. The yard looks great..they did the whole job without the use of heavy equipment so our yard would not be damaged. Norm explained thoroughly what we needed to do to get the sod and seed growing, what fertilizer to use, watering schedule, and further maintenance needed in the future. It was a clean and great service. I had Mr Rodriguez redesign the front of my house with a small fountain which he installed perfectly and rearranged my rocks, removed the bad weeds, replant and plant new plants. He also put mulch. Jonathan came to the house the next day after I called him to provide a written estimate for the work. He and Tony did the landscaping job themselves. They were both very courteous and completed the work 4 days later in less than 4 hrs. They were willing to go the extra mile to install the window wells the way I wanted and listened to my suggestions on how to edge my planting space. They cleaned up everything and even hauled off some miscellaneous landscape rocks, cement chunks and several old tree stumps. Jonathan suggested plants I could purchase for my new bed. I called more than one landscaper to perform the renovation of my front lawn. Norm Pitzer was the only person that was responsive, on time and was willing to do the work. He has a passion for the work that he performs and he has a tremendous work ethic. The work performed was thorough and very professionally completed. Norm continuously came back to check on my lawn while it grew from the seed to ensure that it was doing well and was watered properly. While I think the price was a little high, he didn't have much competition and the price included materials and labor. The materials included landscaping rock for each side of the house and new soil for the front yard as well as a tree, new bushes, mulch, seed, fertilizer, etc. The yard looks amazing and it was in very bad condition having just had the water line replaced over the summershow more

Norm came out and made some great recommendations. What sealed the decision is he actually called and followed up a few days later with some other ideas. We ended up expanding the project to include landscaping the front beds and a side area (rock section with paver border around utilities and AC unit). Their quote was not the lowest but felt they would do the job right. Norm's team started right on time (actually a day early) and spent 4 full days at the house. They took out several truck loads on rocks and really cleared the yard. They add two large truck (18-wheel) loads of top soil which was really needed and not everyone was planning to do. Norm recommended tall fescue sod over blue grass which other landscapers were suggesting since it would handle the environment better. Sodding was completed by the 4th day and Norm provide sprinklers to use to water the lawn and went over the water schedule. Norm check back regularly to ensure the grass was doing well. 4 weeks later, even with putting the sod in over the two hottest weeks of the summer, the yard looks awesome! The nursery gave him the wrong tree, it was labeled incorrectly. THE DOGWOOD TREE NEEDED A SPECIAL FERTILIZER AND TO BE SPRAYED BY PESTICIDE. THE NEXT TIME WE HIRED HIM, HE INSISTED ON COMING ON SUNDAY ALTHOUGH WE HAD REQUESTED HE COME DURING THE WEEK. WE HAD REQUESTED AND HAD CONFIRMED WITH HIS WIFE THAT HE WOULD BRING LANDSCAPE ROCKS. HE DID NOT, AND SO WHEN HE SHOWED UP EARLY SUNDAY, I HAD MY HUSBAND ASK ABOUT THE ROCKS, AND IF HE DID NOT HAVE THEM,. IF HE COULD GO GET THEM AT A HARDWARE STORE NEAR OUR HOME. INSTEAD HE CHEWED MY HUSBAND OUT AND TOLD HIM THAT HE DID NOT HAVE ROCKS, BUT THAT IF THAT WE DIDN'T COME DOWN, HE WOULD LEAVE THE PROPERTY. I ASKED WHY HIS WIFE HAD CONFIRMED THAT HE HAD ROCKS, AND HE SAID NOBODY WOULD HAVE ROCKS AND SHE WAS MISINFORMED. INSISTED ON STARTING WORK IMMEDIATELY. HE REFUSED TO PLANT THE ROSEBUSHES PROPERLY. . I ASKED HIM TO REPLANT MISPLANTED BULBS THAT HE DID NOT ORIGINALLY PLANT. HE DECLINED AND TOLD ME TO LEAVE IT, AND HE COULD PLANT SOME NEW ONES. THAT MADE NO SENSE. I REQUESTED RED BEGONIAS TO BE PLACED BY THE ROSES. HE STARTED TOO FAR AWAY, SO IT DID NOT LOOK RIGHT. I REQUESTED HE REDO IT, AND HE TOLD ME IT "DIDN'T NEED TO HAPPEN" BECAUSE THE ROSES WOULD FILL FORWARD AND FILL IN THAT SPACE. LEFT LARGE CLUMPS OF DIRT IN THE YARD. I HAVE A BAD BACK AND HE SAID WE COULD PICK THE DIRT UP OURSELVES. ASKED HIM TO DO THINGS LIKE PLANT ROSE BUSHES AND BULBS TO PLANT. IF YOU ASK HIM TO PLANT A ROSEBUSH, HE WILL NOT PLANT IT IN A MOUND LIKE PRESCRIBED. HE WILL JUST STICK IT IN THE GROUND. ASKED HIM TO PLANT IT CORRECTLY, AND HE SAID HE TREATS THEM LIKE ANNUALS AND THIS IS HOW HE PUTS ROSES IN HIS YARD. IT'S MY YARD, NOT HIS. IN HIS DEFENSE, I HAD NOT DISCUSSED THIS WITH HIM, BUT IT COULD HAVE BEEN NEGOTIATED. HE WAS FRUSTRATED THAT THERE WAS EXTRA WORK TO DO. HE HANDLES DISPUTES IN THE WORST POSSIBLE WAY. THROWS TANTRUMS WHEN THINGS DON'T GO THE WAY HE WANTS THEM TO, WHICH IS NOT A GOOD SIGN OF A GOOD SERVICE PROVIDER.
