Originally asked that the old storm door be reused, but the men that installed the entrance door could not make the old storm work with the new frame. So I ordered a new storm door, too. We choose Lowe's because that's where we bought the door and I've heard good things about them and he did a great job so it was greatly easy and they were done in an hour. I felt hassled for payment. Before the service was performed, I received a call asking me to guarantee payment, yet this was an insurance claim, and the insurance company already issued a check to me for it. I didn't think much of it until after the door was replaced. Within less than a week after the service was performed, and only a day or two after I received the bill, I received a phone call from the company demanding payment. That kind of behavior is completely unacceptable. My credit rating is excellent, I've owned the house for 25 years. What kind of company hassles its customers for payment like this? I recently moved back to the house after my now ex-wife moved out, and found the door poorly installed. The work was done well although if I had waited for the contractor from the place I bought the storm door from, I would have paid $97. He may not have installed this particular type of storm door many times and he had to look at the instructions quite a bit. He took 2 hours and 45 minutes. He had good communication skills.
