Top Gravel Delivery Near Columbus

I went all over looking for the right gravel and size rock for a landscaping project, and no one had just what I needed, so I went to Lang Stone (where I should have started.) They had what I needed and were able to deliver it the next day. The ton of rocks was not quite the size I thought I was getting, but they worked fine for the project. THEY DELIVERED AND INSTALLED THE WRONG STONE. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE #4 CRUSHED LIMESTONE PER YARD, INSTEAD THEY INSTALLED 3 INCH ROCK. THE PROBLEM IS THAT YOU CANNOT MOVE AND LEVEL IT OUT VERY EASILY TO GET IT READY FOR BUILDING A DECK ON TOP OF IT. WE CALLED & LEFT MESSAGE. THEY DON'T CALL BACK. WE CALL HIS CELL PHONE, SAME RESULT. Can I give an A+?! I called to get a quote and Ed came out when he said he would and gave me a great price for the work. Originally, we only called for the hauling and grading but wound up getting such a great price on the gravel and sand that we had them do that, too! The guys who came out to the house were amazing; professional, extremely polite, really good at their jobs, easy to work with and responsive to my requests. They worked for about 6 hours, dug a 27x14' hole to the exact depth that we requested, dug out a large pathway on the side of the house, moved pallets of patio pavers around to the back of the house from the driveway, hauled away all the debris, they placed the gravel and sand on two tarps for us exactly where we requested and finally graded two areas that we needed built up using the fill they pulled from the other areas of the yard. We have already hired them to come back. I would recommend this company to anyoneshow more

Josh showed up early and got to work on widening my driveway and cut the sod out and spread it out as discussed and got the base gravel spread and moved my storage shed on the new gravel pad and finish graded the base stone. All of this was done in under 4 hours and had 16 tons of stone to spread. Plan to hire again to do a top coat of gravel once the base layer compactsshow more

They sold me a 20 ton load of washed gravel that was full of dirt and mud, which is now caked up all around my landscaping so thick that we will have to remove the rocks to remove the mud. They refused to provide a refund or to remove the mud. They told me they'd replace the gravel if I paid the cost to dig it up and return itshow more

Called Friday left a message requesting a quote. He called me back within an hour or so. We spoke about what I wanted done and he said he could get out on sunday if that was ok. I agreed. He said he would look at his schedule call me sat to let me know when he could come out sunday. No phone call sat, no call no show sun. Its now tues and no phone call stillshow more

Rex did not try and sell me more stone than I needed (unlike Mr. Mulch), and took the time to match his rock to my sample piece. HE CAME OUT AND GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE. HE THEN TOLD ME GO TO THE STORE AND PICK OUT THE ITEMS. WHEN I GOT THE STORE THERE WERE SEVERAL MEN PLAYING POKER AND SMOKING. THEY WERE BEING SMART AND NOT HELPFUL AT ALL. THEY TREATED ME LIKE MY JOB WAS TOO SMALL. IT WAS POURING DOWN RAIN WHEN I GOT THERE AND I WALKED INTO A VERY UNPROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENT. Second time around using this company and these guys do not disappoint. They arrived on Thursday and completed the job on Monday. Correy had previously put together a design which we chose and it looks even more amazing in person than it did on paper. We now have a beautiful paver stone border that holds in the gravel of the driveway. The crew was very professional, friendly, and hard working--something we've come to appreciate after hiring them previously to do our patio. During the process, my husband accidentally hit one of the corners where stone had already been laid, shifting the stone. One email to Correy and the next morning the guys had already fixed it. The communication is great and makes for a very smooth process. You truly get what you ask for and more. The crew always goes above and beyond the job. We asked the guys if they had extra gravel could they put it around the shed. I expected just a pile of gravel by the shed, but they spread it out for us. Absolutely thankful for the extra effort. I should preface this report by saying that they had little competition, since another company did not respond to my request for gravel, a second company took my order, but never delivered it, and a third company was completely out of decorative gravel. Who knew it was so difficult to get decorative gravel in Columbus, Ohio in the middle of the summer? I previously had a good experience buying mulch from Ohio Mulch, so I decided to try to get some gravel from them. I went to the website, but the photos of the gravel are tiny and generic rather than showing the detail of the different types. I sent an e-mail request for more information about the gravel types and got an automated response saying that someone would get back to me ASAP. I never got an actual response, so I decided to call and ask about gravel types. I called the distribution center, who referred me to the Riverside location. I called that location, but they accidentally hung up on me. A couple of weeks later, I finally went to the Riverside location to actually look at the gravel and see if it would work in my landscape bed. The employee did show me the gravel types, but they were out of the most attractive river rock, and the samples were still dirty enough that I couldn't see the actual stone colors. I decided to order anyway, but the employee said she could not help me calculate how many bags I would need and couldn't even go on the website to try to see if there was any information about it on there (something about company policy against internet use). I gave up and went home, found an online calculator for gravel needs on a different website and placed the order with Ohio Mulch online. Things got better from there. I received an automatic e-mail confirmation of my order and was able to pick my delivery date. I also got a phone call from a live person confirming my order and leaving contact information in case I had any questions. The gravel was delivered on time and placed on the driveway exactly where I wanted it. Inside of the bags, the gravel was very muddy, which I didn't expect, but guess I understand. It ended up being fairly attractive once it was rinsed off. The end result was fine, but it was a real do-it-yourself process trying to figure out what kind of gravel they had and how much to ordershow more

Steve was very conscious of cost containment and provided us ways to get the most for our money. While the weather was not initially cooperative, Steve kept us apprised of projected startvdates and once things got underway, his crew were friendly, hardworking and efficient.
