A representative from Precision Glass came over to measure the tables and dressers for glass tops, answer questions, and give an estimate. When our glass was ready for delivery, he brought it, cleaned it well before placing it, and answered questions. He noticed one of the pieces of glass needed to be rounded more on an edge for safety's sake, and also brought a small chip in the glass to my attention. After agreeing on the job & details, Glass Doctor comes out and removes your old glass. THEN they measure for the new glass (so there are no surprises of crevices, etc hidden by the old glass). Since everything is custom made--you're then without a usable shower for at least 2 weeks until the new glass gets delivered. After installation, you still need to wait another 2 days to ensure everything is dry & bonded. They did a good job with minimal mess. They were punctual and professional in getting the job done (both in the initial visit to remove the old glass and in the followup visit to install the new glass). My old shower glass (12 yrs old) was getting corroded-looking & I was having problems with mold because of caulking that was wearing away--so the new shower is awesome in that it makes doing a good job cleaning just so much easier. Also, because it is semi-frameless (glass to glass on the corners), it lets a lot more light in the shower. We also moved out one of the panels about 3 inches and increased the height of all the panels about 5 inches. Trio Insulated Glass was highly recommended and seemed like the most professional and reliable of any insulated glass installer that I interviewed. While they weren't the cheapest nor would they offer more than a 5 year warranty, I hired them to replace (5) insulated glass panes. They showed up on time and completed the work. I brought in the taped-together pieces of Plexiglas that someone had broken in my back door. He used this as a template to cut me some glass, as I wanted the greater R-value glass provides. He cut it a little smaller, as he understood that the plexi had been bent to fit, and the glass ended up fitting perfectly. I have two more panes in plexi in this same door, which I plan on removing one at a time, and having Beechwold Ace cut me the new glass each time. He wrapped the glass in a brown paper bag for me. The installer, Brian, was on time and replaced the glass which had become crystalized from the broken seals. He was very friendly and took the time to answer my questions. ONE OF THE PIECES OF GLASS WAS NOT MADE ACCORDING TO THE MEASUREMENTS I GAVE TO THEM. IN ADDITION, ANOTHER PIECE OF GLASS HAD A DIFFERENT COLOR EDGE THAN THE OTHER PIECES. I CALLED THEM AND THEY SAID THEY ARE GOING TO CHARGE ME AGAIN TO RESIZE THE FIRST PIECE OF GLASS. AND, EVEN IF I WOULD PAY, THEY SAID IT WILL NOT RESEMBLE THE REST OF THE SIDES OF THE SAME GLASS, AS WELL AS THE OTHER PIECES OF GLASS. We purchased windows from Rosati in 2004 ($6,444) and one of the large window was damaged in 2014 and last years cold weather caused the decorated glass to fog inside two smaller windows. We called Rosati in June, they sent an investigator/estimator out to a**** our situation and we ordered the glass. I was having my master bath renovated. Replacing the original shower with an all glass enclosure. Classic Glass was suggested by the contractor. I scheduled an inhouse appt for the 25th of Feb. The owner Brian arrived on time. I told him what I was interested in and he made some suggestions regarding my ideas. I called the office on the 27th of Feb and put my deposit down. Classic came on the 5th of March to set the track for the glass. Very nice installers. They returned on the 21st with the major piece of glass. I needed to wait until the the 9th of April for the glass door. All was completed at that time. The shower glass is perfect. I could not ask for more. This was not an easy job because the shower is not level. It is in the basement of a 100 year old house in Bexley. Glass doctor was the only company that was able to install the glass without putting a metal frame or moldings around it. I got other cheaper estimates, but all wanted to put in a frame. I did not want the frame because it accumulates mold, lime deposits, and is difficult to clean. Glass doctor at first was unsure if it could be done. They measured, they brought glass out that initially did not fit, they came back again, and finally made it happen. I commend this company on sticking with what they promised.
