Over the years we have purchased a complete Bedroom suite, a living room couch, a living room chair, a Lazy boy style chair, and corner shelves. We have never had a problem with Marvin. The quality of workmanship is phenomenal and beautiful. When the living room furniture was delivered the people that delivered it did an ok job but wanted to charge $400.00 for the delivery. When said I would not pay that much for a delivery from Danville he lowered it to $300.00. I told him I would pay it but I was calling Marvin. Marvin felt very bad that they charged that much and let me know that they would not be using them again. We really appreciate the quality of workmanship that Country Furniture does and plan on buying more furniture from them. I consider Country Furniture my furniture store and Marvin my friendshow more

Excellent, top notch! After searching furniture stores in three counties I could not find exactly what I was looking for. At Amish Oak, you pick whatever piece you like and they have it hand made in the wood and finish you want. In addition, you can pick the fabric for anything upholstered. They give you a 90 day time frame, but ours was done two weeks ahead of that. Delivery persons were excellent, polite and careful moving it into the house. The furniture is lovely and well made. Delivery time was about three months, but you are aware of this when you make the purchase. The furniture was delivered as scheduled, wiped down and the bookcase door glass polished. The company is helpful in explaining care of the wood. THE TABLE CAME WITH ONE SMALL DING IN IT. THE DELIVERY MEN DID NOT HESITATE TO TAKE THE DINGED TABLE LEAF BACK WITH THEM. THEY CALLED A FEW WEEKS LATER TO LET ME KNOW THAT THEY WOULD NEED TO COME BACK AND PICK UP THE WHOLE TABLE TO MAKE SURE THAT EVERYTHING WENT TOGETHER PERFECTLY. This company works with Amish craftsmen. They have some in stock (which they often sell at a discount, as far as I can tell) but for the most part they put in orders for hand-made furniture. As a result the furniture takes some weeks to arrive at the store, but it is made with the finish and features you request, usually at no extra cost. The furniture is hard wood, although in one of the bookcases it's plywood. The quality of the craftsmanship is excellent--couldn't find any fault with it whatsoever, very solid and well put together. The price is very reasonable. We've been to a number of Amish hardwood furniture stores and this one seems to be on the low side, if not among the lowest. We'll be going backshow more

I am not giving resolutions on. I have repeatedly called them ever since thanksgiving and they just keep ignoring me and no one will come out to my house to take a look and resolve the issues. I ordered a set of six chairs to be finished and they had it done out somewhere in Carolina and I bought the fabric and gave it to them to upholster the chairs so when the chairs were delivered, which they don't deliver personally, but a delivery company. I noticed that one of the chairs was black and the other chairs were brownish mahogany. One chair is completely different than the other chairs and there is another chair that when you sit on it, it squeaks really bad and makes a lot of noises so I called immediately the day that they delivered and said we had these issues. I think the owner she said I don't know if we can fix that, I couldn't hear her very well. Then I said that I want her husband to come out and talk to me in my home and look at these problems and every time I call they are out of town and they take a message. Nobody will ever really get back to me and come out her and it's been about 5 months now. They are closed on Mondays so they are on my list to call again tomorrow. Tomorrow I am just giving them the ultimatum that they've ignored me for 5 months so they have to come to my house this week or I guess I will take them to the small claims court. I know for a fact that my information is still at the front desk because the girls who work from them say that they see my paper sitting thereshow more

Derek was punctual, personal and responsive. He took the job very seriously and called multiple times during the planning and production phases of the project to make sure he had things exactly the way we wanted them. He even scheduled the project around some parts deliveries that were delayed on our end. The finished product was perfect. He even delivered the table during the holidays. Derek did an excellent job. He made sure he knew what we wanted. He swiftly started to work on the first bookshelf. He finished in a few days and then started the second shelf. And, in the end, he built exactly what we wanted. Custom furniture is not cheap, but Derek does not overprice. Among the different estimates we got, Derek was amongst the most affordable. Mr Brainard came in and measured the walls for custom built in bookcases. I gave him a general idea of the functionality of the room. and how we wanted it to look. He was very precise in measuring the walls, in fact he came back a couple of times, just so everything would fit in just right. He took into consideration where the electrical outlets were, when he measured for the bookcases, and where the printer would sit. After he purchased the lumber he had us come to see it and go over the design of the book cases. I gave him a sample of the color of the wood stain we wanted and he picked the perfect match. After he applied the the first coat of the stain he had us come over and approve the color. When he finished building the cases in his shop, he brought them over and they fit into the wall perfect! All we could say was, WOW! How beautiful the book cases looked. We have had friends compliment and admire the look of our study over and over again he had to pull up the carpet and baseboards to set the bookcases. he put back the baseboards, and have a carpet man come lay the carpet in place. They did a fantastic job. I don't think the price was bad for the work they did. Their quality was definitely an A. They actually got done before they said they would. They are very home town group but they are professional. It's a very small business and are old school. I don't think they know what a computer is or anything. But they did great work. They completely took off what was on there and made a whole new set. The went down to the springs. I have a Dixon Reed sofa and the cushions were something my grandma would have on her furniture. They redid those and they turned out fantasticshow more

Our experience with AO was fantastic from start to finish. The sales person who helped us was extremely patient with us. We must have stopped in the store 3-4 times before finally deciding on a table. We ended up going with a custom order and she kept in touch with us while she checked with the craftsman to make sure he could accommodate our size request, and notified us as soon as it was ready. They were able to deliver it within just a few days of it being ready. It arrived today! The delivery men were super nice, professional, and personable. They brought the pieces in and put the table together quickly. Before they left they told me how to properly care for it. I can't describe how beautiful the table is! It's live edge and no 2 pieces are alike; it's truly one of a kind. It's solid and of the highest quality.
