I was excited to talk to this company about setting up bi-monthly cleaning services at my house. I sent an email asking whether the company provided service in my area. Unfortunately, I never heard back. Approximately 30 days later, I filed this report with Angies List and within 24 hours received a phone call from Sandra, the owner of the company. She was extremely personable and apologetic that this situation occurred, and she was frustrated because this incident seemed to be one of several where she was not receiving messages in her email or via her cell phone. She was very prompt and courteous in explaining the situation, and was working to remedy the problems so that she could stay in communication with current and prospective customersshow more

My husband is active military and away for a few months. I have been feeling a little overwhelmed with keeping up with everything. A friend knew this and forwarded me the groupon deal. Without doing any research, I immediately purchased. (I blame the impulse on sleep deprivation). I made my first call attempt to schedule the day I bought it. After 24 hours of no response, I called again, left another message. Then did research. Apparently anyone who bought a groupon recently cannot get service. I thought I'd try for another week and now, week and a half has passed, I've left 3 messages and no call back. I will be calling groupon tomorrowshow more

Golden Shine provided outstanding service! We had a last minute family emergency that altered our plans, and we needed help getting the house ready for out-of-town visitors. They scheduled us at 7a the next morning so that they could work us into their schedule. Their work was impeccable...very thorough. They were also able to remove some rust stains that I have been unable to remove myself. We were so pleased with the quality and professionalism of their work--I would highly recommend them, and will schedule additional services in the futureshow more

I was referred to a Simpler Life by a friend. I called Billie Jo (the owner) and she responded to me promptly, even explained that boarding my cat might be a cost saving option. She came to my house to meet our pets, see their routine and even learn the location of the kitty who needed medication's hiding spots. She provided a written contract with costs outlined and procedures she would follow in case of a medical emergency with one of my pets. Overall great service and experienceshow more

SINCE I AM AN 'OWNER' OF A COMPANY I WOULD HAVE TRIED TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT...BY OFFERING A DISCOUNT OR SOMETHING. I PERSONALLY GO TO 'ALL MY APPOINTMENTS.' They quickly responded to my email inquiry and set up a time. They cancelled via text 5 minutes before they were due to arrive due to medical emergency and we rescheduled. They came to the next scheduled appointment and unfortunately said nothing except to speak in Spanish to each other and for the initial cleaning quoted me FOUR times the price of my previous cleaner. For the regular monthly cleanings they quoted me double. I did not hire them. They may be wonderful cleaners but I will never knowshow more

When meeting with Pam, I felt pretty relaxed. We did a walk through; she assured us the work would be done in the time frame allowed. On the scheduled day, I left our home unlocked and the person arrived and left, and this time locked the door. We had an 'emergency' on new carpet, due to a pet mishap. We tried our regular 'mass market' cleaner and they wouldnt make room for us on Saturday. Practically begged. We looked on Angie's List and found Nationwide! They check with the tech/owner and they made room for us. They came on Saturday within a couple of hours of our call . Will and his partner came quickly and went straight to work. Friendly, professional, hard working. They removed the mess and the carpet looks great. The treated the spots and areas and cleaned the entire carpet. In and out in 45 mins or so. I can't say enough good things about Will and Nationwide. I have definitely found a new cleaner and would recommend it to my friendsshow more

I called Executive Home Services for help with a last minute, whole house, cleaning (Emergency clean before a big event). Sue was very determined to try to fit us in within 2 days if at all possible. Luckily there was a schedule change, freeing up a three person team. They were still there working at 8 PM when we arrived home. They were very courteous and they had done an outstanding job on our home. They even cleaned the blinds throughout the house - we had just bought the home in March and honestly had NO IDEA they were white! As far as price goes - you do sometimes get what you pay for. I called Nelson's Cleaning Company on a Wednesday requesting an emergency deep house cleaning prior to some out of town company arriving the following Wednesday. They returned my call within an hour; scheduled the estimate for the next day; and did the deep cleaning that same week on Saturday. I was amazed at their responsiveness! The team of three cleaners worked from 8:30 AM until 7:30 PM to complete the job. The house sparkled! They cleaned every surface and their cleaning products made the house smell so fresh! The floors have never looked so good since they were new. The crew was very professional and pleasant to have around. I have now scheduled a cleaning every two weeks and can't wait to have them back. I highly recommend this company, and have tried several cleaning companies in the past, so I have a frame of referenceshow more

WE HAD TO RESCHEDULE THIS SERVICE TWICE - THE FIRST TIME, THEY HAD A FAMILY EMERGENCY, WHICH WAS ACCEPTABLE. THE SECOND TIME, THEY WERE BEHIND SCHEDULE AND ASKED TO RESCHEDULE. WE DID, AND THE THIRD TIME, THEY DIDN'T SHOW. WHEN WE CALLED 2.5 HOURS LATER, THEY SAID, "OH YEAH, WE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE THERE TODAY." MY HUSBAND TOOK 5 HOURS OFF OF WORK AND MOVED ALL FURNITURE AND OTHER ITEMS AWAY FROM THE WINDOWS 3 TIMES. THIS IS UNCONSCIONABLE AND WE WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEMshow more

We told them to focus on Kitchen and bathrooms and get them clean before even touching anything else. The fridge was still dirty, they did not touch the oven (which was listed on deep cleaning description), the panty wasn't touched (floor), the cupboard where not cleaned (everything was empty), the bathrooms were disgusting. They left dog hair in the kids bathroom, it would drain and instead of wiping it out they just left it. I complained and they did come back the next day but I'm not sure what they did. The one lady left early (understand family emergencies happen),she left the other cleaner there with no phone and no ride. They should have scheduled to finish the work before they left. I requested an estimate on Janury 7 for the cleaning to take place on January 15 in preparation for 20 guests coming to my home on January 16. The young man who did the estimate come to my home on the 8th and was prompt in spite of all the snow. We walked through the house and discussed what I wanted done, including cleaning the carpet in the kitchen/family room area. I was quoted a price of $335 and agreed to have the work done. On the 13th, I called to confirm I was on the schedule and find out what time the crew would be at my home. I was told I was on the schedule and that they would call me back that day with the time. On the 14th, as I had not heard back, I called again and again was told they would call me back with the time. On the 15th, as I had still not heard back, I called again and left a message as there was no answer to the phone. I called about 5 times that day and left multiple messages and was never able to speak to anyone. By mid-afternoon, I was getting frantic as I had 20 people coming in less than 24 hours and one very dirty home. I was finally called about 2:00 or 3:00 and was informed I was not on the schedule. When I explained my situation, the woman was very helpful and contacted a crew to see if they could clean my home that evening. A crew of 4 individuals come to my home and worked very hard and fast to get it clean. Overall they did a very good job but the carpet was not cleaned, a few spots/pictures were not dusted, and I found one broken item after they left. I found out some nesting end tables hadn't been dusted when I pulled them out for my guests on Saturday. I was not offered any price adjustment for my harrowing experience but when I requested one was given about $23 dollars off, which covered the tax. I think this company does good work but I had a bad experience which they did their best to remedyshow more

Initially called and followed up with an email to indicate interest. Took quite a while to get a response--said they were on vacation--probably would have been good to put a voice mail message and/or email autoresponse indicating such. Scheduled an onsite meeting to discuss starting up regular cleaning services with Brenda and she indicated from a home of our size it would be $120 per cleaning. The window was 2 hours and Brenda called 10 minutes before the end of the window to reschedule. She was exasperated and a bit unprofessional; for example she said "why on earth did we schedule this during the week". I let it go and we scheduled for Sunday at 2 PM (the weekend was her request). Sunday arrived and 2 PM came and went and she did not show and did not call. On the chance that a major emergency came up, I have given it another 48 hours after the missed appointment and still not a peep. Thus, this company seems to have a major problem responding in a timely manner. If they are this bad up front (i.e., trying to get the customer), I fear how bad they would be during ongoing business having already gotten the customershow more
