Two young men came out, Dan and Matt. It was on a rainy day so the first thing they did was to put down canvas runners over our carpet. They removed our old gas furnace and hot water tank. Brought in a new furnace and water heater and installed both. Compressor outside in the rain was installed also. The job from start to finish took about 6 hours and they worked very hard at it. Job went very well. On time, and Starner's coordinated electrical contractor to do that work. We had a gas water heater, and was going to replace the old one with a new gas heater, but old one was not vented properly, and a major reconstruction would have been required to stay with gas. They could do it, but pointed out to me, that an electric water heater did not require the same venting as gas. In the middle of the job, we decided to go with electric water heater. We called Jack Woods, they sent someone out the next day and we found we had to go to an electric water heater rather than another gas one. The following day Jack Woods returned put up the new water heater, so all the electrical people had to do was plug it in. It went well. They came on the 29th and tried resetting it because everything else checked out ok. They told me to call back if I didn't have hot water the next morning; I didn't. The next day they came and replaced both thermostats and all was well. Our electric hot water tank ended up being a more serious prblem than anticipated and will need replaced. (It would be costly to rebuild and may not even be effective) Gary provided me with a great deal of information on the options for replacement and quotes for both a tankless and an electric hot water tank. He also checked out our bath plumbing and provided a quote for the repair service. Gary was polite and professional. When I got up on March 4 and discovered I had no hot water. I stopped at Jon's Plumbing Heating in the afternoon to inquiry about them installing a new hot water tank. They were able to get me in the next day. The service tech was very nice, he cleaned up any mess and before you know it I had hot water again. I will definitely use them againshow more

INITIAL INSTALLATION NOT COMPLETELY SATISFACTORY. INSTALLERS DID NOT SUPPLY BREAKERS REQUIRED FOR FUSEBOX AND REQUIRED ME TO FIND AND SUPPLY THEM FROM AN ELECTRICAL SUPPLY SHOP. UNIT ALSO WAS INITIALLY NOT LEVEL AND DID NOT HAVE SHUT-OFF VALVE, PLUS WAS INSTALLED DIRECTLY ON STUDS SO DRYWALL COULD NOT BE PROPERLY ADDED AROUND UNIT. SERVICE TECHNICIAN DID GOOD JOB RECTIFYING THESE ISSUES BUT, SINCE THE UNIT WAS FAULTY, REINSTALLATION WAS NECESSARY. WE WERE WITHOUT HOT WATER FOR A WEEK AND, ALTHOUGH OUR EXISTING HOT WATER HEATER WAS STILL ON SITE, THE COMPANY DID NOT OFFER TO HOOK IT BACK UP TEMPORARILY. ALSO, I WAS ASKED TO PAY AN EXTRA FEE FOR THE REINSTALLATION SINCE THE DEFECTIVE UNIT WAS NOT PURCHASED THROUGH THEIR BUSINESS. REPRESENTATIVES SHOWED UP ABOUT 1/2 TO ONE HOUR AFTER THEIR EXPECTED ARRIVAL TIME. SINCE I SUBMITTED THIS REPORT I DISCOVERED THROUGH A CERTIFIED ELECTRICIAN THEIR WORK WAS INADEQUATE. The job went well. Eco Plumbing techs Charlie and Brandon were great, professional and friendly. Since I did not previously have the inside gas pipe fittings, the job required two separate days so that I would still have hot water to use. On day one they did all the inside work including mounting the tank-less gas water heater, while not cutting off my electric water heater (about 4 hours). On day two the gas company came to install the gas meter. Charlie and Brandon could then cut off my electric water heater, connect the water pipes to the tank-less water heater, and connect the inside gas pipe to the gas meter outside (about 2 hours). Our water heater developed a slow leak from the bottom, so it knew it was a matter of time.... I found Cruikshank Plumbing on Angie's List. I gave them a call on 2/7/13 to get an estimate on a new 80 gallon electric water heater, they called back later in the day, but I missed the call. I did some research that evening on water heaters, so I had some knowledge when I spoke with them on the morning of 2/8/13. Michelle quoted me a price for a 6yr, 80 gallon "standard" water heater. I told her I had done some research since I had last spoken with her and that I really wanted a Rheem Marathon 85 gallon water heater. She said that it was no problem and that she would get me an estimate and let me know. She called back about 1hr later and said that they could get the one I wanted and install it on 2/12/13. I told her since the old one had a slow leak, that I thought it would "last" until then and to go ahead. Michelle then called the morning (10:23AM) of the installation to let me know that the plumber was on his way. She had told me on 2/8/13 that it would be between 10AM and Noon. Randy from Cruikshank Plumbing arrived about 10:40AM. He introduced himself and put on "booties" over his shoes before entering the house. We called the provider on Friday, 15th November since the water heater was not working. We were only getting cold water. They were a referal from another company which were the ones who had installed the heater 3 years back. Since they could not come immediately, they referred Buckeyes to us. Very professional on phone, technician arrived within 3 hours, inspected everything, made us understand the problem that the thermostat had tripped and so not heating up. They ordered the parts which were covered by warranty. Came back on Monday and installed it. Kept us informed all this while. Very professional and highly recommend their serviceshow more
