I sent my request in late yesterday evening, after 9:00 pm. He responded within about 20 minutes, and by 11:30 last night, I knew that he could do the work today because of a cancellation. Company had cleaned basement carpet approximately three weeks prior. They did a great job but did let us know the pet stain areas from previous owners might not be able to be completely removed although the areas would be sanitize and disinfected. Two weeks later noticed pet stains were noticeable Company came back for re-treating with no charge to us. We replaced the dark brown 30 year old Tarkett squares floor with Armstrong luxury vinyl floor in the Tuscan pattern. We have a one hundred year old house so the vinyl works much better than hard ceramic. Interior Surfaces removed the old floor and laid down a sub floor before laying the new floor. They removed the furniture and appliances and replaced them after the work was done. They also removed the shoe molding and replaced it. The old floor had some squeaks and creaks which are now gone. Initially Mr. Tubaugh was to install oak hardwood flooring in the dining room and hall, repair water spots in the drywall, replace woodwork with oak and install a chandelier. When they removed the carpeting the underfloor had been soaked in spots by cat urine. They removed all evidence (odor) before laying the flooring. Instead of just repairing the drywall, they removed it and insulated the walls before replacing it. With the added insulation and moving the cold air register up on the wall, our heating and cooling is much more efficient. The stairs to the hallway were oak but had been covered by carpeting for 39 years. They replaced the risers and refinished the tops so you would never know it.
