I called 6 places (all on Angie's List) to request an estimate; only 3 of those called me back and agreed to give me one, and of the 3 only Yard Right actually managed to provide an estimate. That's why I put N/A in the price category - I have no idea how their price compares to others' b/c no one else even followed through to the point of giving me an estimate. That said, I am very happy with the work they did and with the way they did it. They were on time, friendly, and very easy to work with. The provider accidentally hit a water conduit from my downspout. He did not know he hit it but as I was leveling the dirt pile I found some pieces of schedule 40 plastic pipe. When I called the owner (Lonnie) he sent one of his workers out almost immediately to dig down and locate the damaged conduit. Once they found it and determined how to repair the pipe, they came the next day and repaired the break. The repair was done professionally. After the repair was completed the hole was filled and the dirt leveled. The owner even took the time to run water in my gutters to make sure the repair was good. I cannot say enough good things about this provider. The price was reasonable, the service was prompt, the customer service was exemplary. Both the employees and the owner are fair minded and try hard to please the customer. This is customer service I have not experienced in a long time. This is the second time we have hired Bill's Tree Service. Just like the first time, they did an excellent job. We had to have ash trees cut down and a stand of dead pine trees. They ground out the stumps, and chipped up the smaller debris. They also cleaned up anything that was left in the yard. I cannot say enough good things about this company. I pruned trees in my back yard and cut out brush and bushes. I called the company to have them chip the materials and remove. I got a quote the same day. They came out the next day. Everyone on the crew was polite, friendly, and professional. They looked at the project, figured out a game plan, and started to work. They worked relentlessly. Once all the materials were removed, they cleaned up all the debris -- and I mean all the debris. There was not a loose twig in sight. Charter Oaks did a great job. They worked quickly and removed the trees and hauled away or chipped the debris in about 2 hours. In a couple of days their crew came back and ground down the stumps including one from a prior removal. They filled in the depressions with chips and leveled the ground. Kevin was prompt, professional and courteous. He provided an estimate and completed the work as described within. He subcontracted with someone else to grind the stumps. This person left large piles of dirt, grass, and wood chips (as well as ruts in the yard from his machinery). He left before we could ask him what to do with the wood chip piles. THIS JOB TOOK MOST OF TWO DAYS. TERRY MOORE DID MOST OF THE WORK HIMSELF. HE HAD TWO HELPERS THE FIRST DAY AND ONE HELPER THE SECOND. HE GAVE ME ADVICE ON WHAT KIND OF SHRUBS AND TREES TO PLANT. THE ONLY THING I WAS A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED IN WAS WITH THE STUMP GRINDING. IT TORE UP MORE OF THE YARD THAN I WAS EXPECTING. THE WOOD CHIPS WERE RAKED INTO PILES, BUT THE PILE OF CHIPS WHERE THE BIG TREE WAS WAS CONSIDERABLE. I FILLED 8 YARD-WASTE BAGS GETTING RID OF ITshow more
