I purchased the coupon deal for the attic ventilation and insulation inspection. Two very professional gentlemen arrived on time to perform the work. They were very thorough and meticulous. They took dozens of pictures and I was able to see exactly what they were seeing. The problems they saw were the same ones that I supposed to be found, which was the reason I bought the coupon. They presented a written estimate for the work to be done and frankly, for the amount of work they had to do, the price was extremely reasonable. They installed 55 baffles in the attic, connected 3 bathroom vents and vented them outside of my home and added 14.75 inches (R-44) of insulation in an uninsulated area of the attic. There were two teams of two workers - one to do the baffles and vents and one to do the insulation. It took the better part of a day to complete the work. IN ADDITION TO THE LEAKS, IT WAS EXTREMELY HOT UPSTAIRS. BRAD SUGGESTED A ATTIC FAN THAT HAS MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE FOR US. Pat has been wonderful. Very detail oriented and helpful. My biggest, on-going challenge is my attic ventillation issue. He is first and foremost concerned with finding an option that is cost effective, but still effective. We are still working through some options and have done some inexpensive experiments which have helped but didn't fully solve things. The Crew (foreman: Charles) was very polite, knowledgeable, efficient and willing to explain the process of work being completed. Care was taken to keep plastic up on walls of hallway and floor protection was used. We did have a problem with the fan vibrating very loudly after installation and Eric, my rep, was quick to contact me to reschedule a crew to come back out and fix it. All companies would do the same tear-off and use the same shingles, but no other estimator had an understanding of proper attic ventilation, nor did thy have experience installing it. This is the factor that swayed our decision toward Bradley Builders. In the end, Bradley Builders' quote was equal to that of the other companies. 2. Before and after we signed the contract, visits, phone calls, and mailings were always on time and professionally executed. 3. The crew was efficient and neat as possible, and Brad was often working with them. He specialized in meticulously building the copper flashing around the chimney. At the end of each workday, the site cleanup was completed. 4. We are happy with the final product. The roof and flashing are neat, professional looking, and attractive. The work went well. The old roof was in pretty sorry shape, so there was real work involved in tearing the old shingles off. Muth had several choices in grade, color, and type of shingles, and worked with me to pick the right materials for this house. We also changed the roof vent system to improve the attic ventilation. The materials were delivered quickly, the work went well, and problems that they ran into once the old roof was off were resolved with me so that I knew how the costs were going to change and why. Joe was great my hat is off to him. Joe came out for the estimate told me to contact my insurance agent (Travelers) regarding hail damage which had happened 3 years before. The insurance adjuster came out said we had hail damage and the would replace the entire roof. B&T Roofing came to the job site when promised tearing off 2 layers of roofing, replacing plywood installing a ridge vent system, drip edge, tar paper, Owens Corning 30 year black shingles. After a windstorm in the fall, my roof was definitely damaged and I called several companies to get quotes on a new roof. The manager from Bone Dry was there the next day and did an immediate temporary repair on the roof. We went through a qoute and then I wanted to wait and get quotes from other companies. After several weeks I was able to get qoutes from other companies. Only Bone Dry responded within a week. I decided to go with Bone Dry for the job because of their responsiveness and what seemed like straight forward and honest answers. By this time, Winter was coming so I waited until Sping to put on my new roof. In March another wind storm tore up more shingles and by the time I called Bone Dry to get another patch on my roof, they had already been there and put another patch on. This was the next day after the storm! I finally asked Bone Dry to put on the roof at the beginning of June. Since they were not sure they could finish the roof in 1 day, they tore off one section of the roof at a time and put on the new roof one section at a time. Of course it rained the evening after the first day but the roof was fine. I now have a nice looking new roof and a clean yard. They did not throw old shingles into my trees and bushes like a see so often. I was extremely satisfied with Bone Dry and I highly recommend this company for roofing. Todd Killinger came to the house to go over all the details prior to our hiring Muth & Co. He was willing to go over details a second time over the phone. It took us some time to decide on Muth & Co, and though Todd called a few times to check on our decision, there was never any pressure. Once we had given Muth the go ahead, they were able to get to us within two weeks. The work was done quickly with a minimum of mess. The company re-arranged their schedule to be able to meet ours. Todd later came back to check that we were satisfied with the work. They showed us the certificates to prove that their crew was licensed, bonded and insured, and that they carried worker's compensation insurance.
