THEY CAME OUT HERE A YEAR AGO APRIL AND GAVE ME A CONTRACT TO SIGN AND SEND BACK IN. I SENT IT IN BUT NEVER HEARD FROM THEM TO SCHEDULE THE WORK. THEY SENT ME A CHRISTMAS CARD AND A THANK YOU NOTE, EVEN THOUGH THEY HADNT DONE MY WORK YET, SO I CALLED TO LET THEM KNOW MY WORK HAD NOT BEEN DONE YET, AND THEY CAME OUT FOR THE WORK AND DID IT. THEY HONORED THE CONTRACT THAT WAS ONE YEAR AND SEVEN MONTHS OLD! MY HUSBAND WAS SHOCKED THAT THEY STUCK TO THE PRICE. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL, THEY HAD A CREW OF ABOUT EIGHT PEOPLE, AND THEY ALL LOOKED LIKE THEY HAD SOME SENSE, NOT LIKE OTHER CREWS IVE SEEN. Gene called three weeks later and scheduled the work.He evaluated the driveway, edged and cleaned it. They then resurfaced it. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I had thought the cracks would have been more completely filled in. I had paid extra for the "high quality crack filler", but the cracks are still very visible and there was some gravel in the drive when I came home. When I contacted the vendor, I was informed that it would have taken a large amount of sealer and that is not a technique that Central Ohio Blacktop uses. In July I contracted the company to repour my asphalt driveway. After some weather delays, they came out and completed the job in one day. Although the driveway itself looks good, they left asphalt marks and footprints on the concrete end of my driveway. I thought they would clean the marks off when they came back to put the surface coat on the driveway, but I was wrong. I contacted the company to request they come back and clean the marks off, but have not had a response to date. I have had several negative comments from neighbors about the marks, and one specific neighbor, who was going to use them to repour their driveway, is now pursuing other companies. The person who came out was great at explaining what to expect from the sealing as we were worried about hundreds of small cracks in our asphalt. He indicated that they would be sealed and protected but would not go away without resurfacing and he was careful to set expectations correctly.
