He reviewed the proposed work with me, pointing out various aspects of it that aligned with another proposed contractor. He then gave me an official written quote on the spot. The foreman came by the next day to get the specifics so he could buy the necessary materials, and work commenced that afternoon. The project took three days, slightly under what they anticipated.
