Optimum

A decent internet service provider. It charges a 30 setup fee for just internet but is free if you buy both internet and cable. The internet rarely goes down and it reliable it most cases. The biggest problem comes if you are a night owl because the do updates in the early morning and do not give advance notice when they are doing so. The choice of internet providers in Laramie is limited and this is the most value for your money. It is a month to month service at least when I signed up which is much better than having to deal with a contract.

First of all, the technician that installed our services was late, about an hour passed the window the company had given us. I have had no problem with the internet, but we have had many issues with the cable tv. The channel selection for the price is not that great and when we record shows and watch them later, they skip like they are on a DVD. It's unfortunate because we are currently unable to get any other provider for the tv service so we are stuck with optimum unless we want to cancel cable altogether.

If its snowing & windy (When is it not in gillette wyoming?) then you can either watch netflix and let it pre-load OR be on the internet cant support both like it should be able to at all times.Call for help on internet expect excuses and high fees if they need to come to your house to help. CablePROsNo Contract if set up right. CONsWould freeze all the time so after 3 months of letting them work on their new set up I gave it up.

Optimum was set to show up between 3-5 pm. Around 4:05 a truck pulled up with no indication it was them, a man walked up to the door, didn't knock or anything. He then hung a sign up that said "sorry we missed you". The time he put down he waited till was 4:25pm. Needless to say I called optimum to let them know what had happened and they said they were going to send someone back out to the house. No one showed up! Not very pleased with that service!
