The sewer line was very deep so a large amount of soil had to be removed, this took several days. The contractor David and his Son were doing the work. The soil was piled up on my lawn with no barrier between the lawn and the soil, killing the grass. The line was replaced and when the soil was places back into the dug out trench no packing was preformed so I had several yards of soil left in a pile that I had to move myself. After a winter had passed my yard sunk in and i had to fill it myself, part of my concrete slab in the back yard broke off and sank with the rest of the yard. I refused to pay my bill until the damage was fixed but I was sued in court. During the proceeding both father and son looked surprised when It was explained what they had done to my lawn. Turns out Mr. Narnia had not obtained a permit to connect to the city sewer with the new line nor did he have any permit to do the work as he had promised. His services were recommended by my Realtor.
