 + -1 moreThe whole procedure went very well . The workers got the roofing job done professionally and astonishingly fast. The workers were polite and responsive to requests. Mr. Sisneros followed up , explaining to us the whole project accomplished . Financially there were no surprises , the planning was perfect and so was the execution of the work . We are very pleased with Mr. Sisneros and his crew and recommend them to anybody who needs construction work done.
Description of Work: Mike Sisneros , his family and his employees did a big and complete roofing job on our house . They took the old roof off and replaced it with a new one . Mr. Sisneros advised us in detail about the whole procedure , took the time to explain things and answered questions clearly . The whole process was transparent and understandable. Quotes and invoices were professionally set up .

The project lasted approximately 3 months and the same crew was used throughout. They were very respectful of our property and kept us informed of their progress throughout the project. The owner of the company, Mike Sisneros, is very transparent in describing costs and provided updates on the budget when requested as we expanded the scope of the project over time. Mike is responsive and very easy to work with- we will contract with him again and highly recommend him and his crew to others.
Description of Work: This is the second time that we have hired Rocky Mountain Contracting. The first time, we had them expand our bedroom and bathroom. This time, we had them rebuild our enclosed sunporch and renovate our basement. They also replace our roof.

 + 0 moreRMC is not the cheapest contractor in Laramie, but they give you all the details up front so you aren't surprised by hidden costs. Everyone wants to bid jobs - so do I - but when you get a bid you need to make sure everyone submitting you a cost is bidding the same quality, the same material grades, etc. Mike explained this in detail and helped me understand exactly what I was getting for each price level.

 + 0 moreRMC starts out strong in the selling phase, but there was too little up front planning. The job was started pretty quickly and we were amazed with how fast it went up and how great the guys were to work with. Until the very first hitch. The cost of carpeting was dramatically under estimated and so there was a delay. That caused a change of foremen and of attitude. Suddenly no one was showing up for days at a time, and then they would be there before eight unannounced and be irritated that I wasn't dressed and ready to let them in. The lack of planning appeared towards the end of the job when small items like rough concrete edges were going to be just left unfinished. A couple small items still should be resolved, nothing major, and twice I've been promised that I'm on the schedule, but no one ever shows. Not worth the fight, frankly. Great customer relations right up until you disagree with Mike about something, then it goes away completely. I've never before been called rude in my own home by someone to whomI was paying a boatload of money. There are other options - go find them.

Description of Work: Remodel of bathrooms and structural damage, demo, install a new roof, and lead building contractor for kitchen, hardwood floors, plumbing, electrical. Mike and his crew did a fabulous job on the complex remodel job on this fixer upper country home we purchased. He helped design the work so it looks beautiful, then did the work, then hired reputable subcontractors for plumbing, electrical, and cabinetry. He and his folks did a superior job! And I absolutely recommend them. He competed all those last minute punch list items as well. Lastly,when we had a problem with the varnish on our hardwood floors, he called the subcontractor back to repair the work, no hassle! Good job Mike, and Tim, and crew, and subs! We love our new home!  + 3 moreRocky Mountain did a total remodel on an upstairs bathroom. The bathroom had not been updated since the sixties. I obtained three bids. Rocky Mountain was not low bid nor was it high bid. The bid provided was thorough and accurate. Mike Sisneros, owner, was extremely professional and helpful in making suggestions to enhance the bathroom and he even helped me pick out colors! It took 2.5 weeks to complete the bath. It would have taken less time however there were some unforseen complications as there are when you remodel and older home. The foreman and crew were also very professional. More importantly, their skill and craftsmanship is beyond reproach. Tim, the foreman, tiled the tub walls and floor. It is just beautiful! The bathroom is just perfect thanks to the expertise of Rocky MOuntain Construction. Mike Sisneros understands that my goal is to update and sell this house. His suggestions are invaluable. He is currently working another bid for me. I will not use any other company. I am sure that three are lower bids out there however you do get what you pay for. In the case of Rocky Mountain Contracting, you really get more than what you pay for!

 + -1 moreThe contractors are not yet finished. There are some cost overruns so I do not know yet what the total cost will be. I started out with one bid and am so impressed that I plan to have them bid out the remainder of the work that needs to be accomplished. Rocky Mountain was not low bid nor was it high bid. I probably could have looked around and got he bathroom remodeled for a little less, however I would not have gotten the quality I have received from these guys! I will complete the survey when they complete the bathroom.
Description of Work: Bathroom remodel. Consists of removing plaster walls, remove and replace tub, remove old sink and vanity and relocate. It was an extensive project as remodels go.

They were nice in informing me that they may not be able to get to it right away as they had a few big jobs but that they would squeeze me in by the timeline I set. They told me they may have difficulty matching the existing style as it was an odd one but they did a really good job. They were able to get it all done in a day and it looks great, they even were able to stick to the estimate. I had wondered why they had not re-attached a rail to which they informed me it was because the rail was bad and would damage the work they had down and they wouldn't want it to break it all back off and told me how I could get a new rail. Very Pleased!

Mike pays his workers a fair wage, carries the correct insurances, workman's comp, liability, etc. My experience is that Mike Sisneros does what he says he is going to do in a timely manner. He communicates about issues in the construction as they arise. His word is good. Owner Mike Sisneros is a certified home inspector which supports the solid understandings he and his company have about the way things should be done. I have only had strong, positive experiences with Rocky Mountain Contracting having spent over $100,000 with his company over the past 6 year.
Description of Work: Rocky Mountain Contracting has done a little bit of everything for me over the past 6 years. From finishing our own home remodel when the previous contractor did not work out to multiple smaller projects at each of our 6 rentals. RMC has put in tile floors, tiled and remodeled whole bathrooms including our own, painted both trim and walls, repaired foundations in our 60 year old house, put new roofs on 6 of our properties and then did a repair on the roof which they did not do. The list could go on. In summary, RMC has done a lot of work for us.

 + 7 moreOur first contractor was not performing. We called Mike Siseneros at Rocky Mountain Contracting and asked him to come take a look at the project. He make recommendations for our consideration, made a detailed bid, and then put his men to work. We were living in a house that was open to the outside at the time and his company made closing in the home a priority. For the parts of the project that needed to be bid out like the electricity and plumbing, Mike hired reputable companies in town to complete those phases of the project. After completing the project in a timely fashion and completely satisfactory manner, we started using Mike for all of our projects in town. The thing I like about Mike is that he is willing to do small projects, has great ideas but puts them out for consideration, not saying that it must be done that way. He is also very good at explaining why something will work better one way as compared to another. Mike believes in doing it right the first time. He is very good at answering homeowner questions. As I think about it, Mike and Rocky Mountain Contracting has done about a quarter million dollars worth of work for us over the past 6 years and we like what we get for our dollar. We continue to recommend Mike and his company to others and continue to use him as the need arises.
Description of Work: I started using Mike Siseneros in 2005 for an addition to our house in Laramie. The contractor we originally hired was not performing and Mike came in and rescued us from a disaster. His company did outstanding quality work just as he had laid out in his bid. His workers were easy to get along with and made life easy for us as we were living in the house as we added 12 feet across the length of the house in the back. Mike basically finished out the house from the foundation up with the new foundation being already in place. This included windows, framing, drywall, full kitchen remodel, full additional bath and original bath remodel. All phases of construction were included and performed well. Since then, we have used Rocky Mountain Contracting for all of our construction projects This has included work on some of our rentals including another kitchen remodel, extensive tile work, dry wall work including full replacement as well as patching as needed. Mike and his company has re-roofed 7 of our rentals, all done with quality materials and workmanship. When you talk with Mike, he explains how short cuts others may take in materials and workmanship may cost the homeowner in the future but by doing it right, the project will last longer and save the homeowner money in the long run. Now that I think about it, Mike and his company have done 3 bathroom remodels and one new construction bath for us. In summary, Rocky Mountain Contracting has met and exceeded my expectations in all areas of construction. I have recommended Mike to friends and continue to do so based on multiple projects and years of work for us.

 + 1 moreNot well. The only plus was that we were only out time and the use of our bathroom, as he suggested we start removing tile on our own, which would save him time and save us expense. So with wasted time, we were unable to use our bathroom for a little less than a month. Approximate cost in frustration and lost time from work was $150.00 We have since found another tile guy. He will be described in a separate, highly laudatory review.
Description of Work: I contacted Rocky Mountain Contracting on the recommendation of a colleague. Mike Sisneros promptly came out to look at the job (admittedly small), which involved replacing tile in a bathroom and shower and re-doing flooring on Monday morning. We were told he'd get us an estimate by the end of the week. When he hadn't, I called on Tuesday morning. He said "I'm glad you did, because I need some additional information". The information was provided, and we were, again, told he'd get back with us with an estimate. When an estimate hadn't been provided by the first of the following week, I called and left a message and never heard back from him.
