Having recently purchased our home, we were given a one year home warranty through "Blue Ribbon". Our garage door stopped working when the button was pushed to close it. I called Blue Ribbon and they sent out this garage door company. They did call us promptly and arrived on time. But I don't feel for one second they did anything except take our $55.00 and move on to another call. The repairman at one point blamed the problem on the weather. The garage door worked for less than a day and quit again. I called Blue Ribbon back and they said that was the only company they had for this area. I called another garage door company and paid for it myself. I despise laziness and I think that's all we received from this first company. As a follow-up: I waited to submit this review until the story was finished. The second garage door company I called on my own came out. They did say sometimes weather is a factor with garage doors acting up. However, in this case the eyes on the door were worn out. The repairman spent time attempting to realign and fix the old eyes but they wouldn't work. He ordered new eyes for the door. Due to the holidays, it took awhile for him to come back but he came today - replaced the eyes and told us overall our older door is in good shape and shouldn't need repairs for some time. This second garage door company had every opportunity to sell us parts we didn't need but only replaced the eyes at a very reasonable price . This second company will be receiving a separate write-up under Angie's list for their good service. In addition, I called "Blue Ribbon" back and complained again. They said I was the only person ever to have complained about the first company and they won't give me my money back.

Phoned them in the morning, gave me a verbal quote of $123, and they said they would be there in 30 minutes. They were here in 25 minutes. They took maybe 20-30 minutes to change the spring, and charged me $123. They were very friendly, polite and professional. I would recommend them to others.

I called Garage Door Service and Sales late afternoon on Sunday, August 4, and left a message requesting that they call back first A.M. on Monday, because my garage door was damaged and could not be closed. It's already two days later, and I still haven't heard back from them. I was hoping they would call, since a friend highly recommended them. I took my business elsewhere.

Garage door broke at 10am, torsion spring had snapped. Called at 10:30am,. They were at my house by 2:30pm, fixed and back working by 3pm. Far exceeded my expectations.

That did great work.

Person came out (Monday)and gave estimate and told me he would get me a quote the next morning(Tuesday). I called at the end of the day Wednesday and and left a message for a return call to find out about quote. He never called me back.

Would definitely use again.

I thought it was going to be one problem and when it turned into being something more then they did come out and give me an estimate.

I can't say enough about Garage Door Service of Loveland. They were punctual, and a delightful gentleman, he was ! Congratulations, Angie's List for being so correct in your evaluations. -- and, thank you again so much, Garage Door services.

It now works perfectly after the 25 minute job.

They were great. They drove out here on a very snowy day to repair my garage door. Their price was very reasonable. The door has operated flawlessly since then.

I was having worsening issues with my garage door. It would have a hard time closing and now was to the point where I could not get it to go completely down. But I was able to call and have someone out the next morning before I had to go to work. The repairmen who came where professional, polite, and understanding of my situation. I felt as a younger single homeowner that a lot of repair services might try and take advantage of someone like me. I didnt get that feeling at all. I originally had contacted a few places in Greeley and they where not able to get out here til the end of the week and some even refused to come to Evans. But Dan came all the way from Loveland the morning after I called. I felt like he had my best interest in mind and I was expecting to pay much more than what I did. From now on I know to contact him first when having issues with my garage door and will highly recommend him.

He explained the problem, and did a good job in returning the door to smooth operation. For the work he did I think it was a great value. Very nice guy too.

My garage door with plastic roller wheels was broken down. I was using it manually for 28 years, the last 2 years it was more difficult to raise and lower. I called and they were ready to come even before I was ready. When they arrived I had the rollers replaced with more sturdy hardware. All other maintenance was done on my door for free, such as adjusting the spring and all around inspection and lubrication. I then asked if it would be possible to set up an appointment to have a garage door installed. He offered to do that immediately and so we did! Minutes later I had a fully functional, beautifully installed Garage Door Opener. The hardware is top quality and was installed according to specification including safety features. I had expected such a job would cost much more and was quite pleased with the quality and price of the repairs and installation

I was very impressed with the company. My garage door stopped working in the raised position. I called the company and they had someone out within two hours. They did not have the part needed to fix the door; however, the service man, Bob, lowered the door and made it so that we could operate it manually. He told me when he would return with the part and he was here right on time. He did not try to sell me parts that I did not need, even though he could have done so very easily. He replaced the parts necessary to make the door work and added items that I requested. He also serviced all of the garage doors for optimal performance. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I know nothing about garage doors, but Bob helped me to understand what he needed to do to fix the door without replacing parts that were working properly. The costs involved seemed reasonable; however, I did not do a price comparison as I would not know the difference anyway. I trusted Angie's List and I was very happy with the overall results!

Bob arrived early (almost unheard of!), immediately spotted the broken springs on my garage door, told me how much it would cost to fix in total and how long it would take. He had the parts needed and completed the work as promised. I felt comfortable that he was honest and capable and would highly recommend this company to anyone.

He arrived within 15 min of estimated time. He listened to what I thought was wrong, gave an estimate and completed the service in an hour with a slightly lower price than estimated. Now everything looks neat and sturdy and best of all is functional. Friendly, competent and helpful service for a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend.

I called and told them what the garage door was doing, and he asked me how old it was and told me that the springs were the problem. He came out immediately because I could not get my car out. He put in two springs, serviced the door and tightened up everything. He warned me that I should watch the opener because going by the state of the springs, the gears might have gotten stripped. He told me it could be good for a month or good for a year. He offered to help me if there were problems with the opener. The garage door is working fine, and I have not had any complications so far. I would recommend them to others. They were very helpful. They were pretty prompt coming out and knew what the problem probably was before they got here. They gave me a senior discount. I did not call anybody else to get a price. I just wanted it fixed by the person I could get out here the fastest. I have no idea what quality of materials they put back in it. I wouldn’t know a good quality spring from a bad quality spring. He did show me how to get the garage door open if it gets jammed again. In retrospect, I am not strong enough to do that anyway; if someone strong was around, I could probably get it open. He showed me where it was broken. He also took the second one out because he said it would have lasted about three more days. He replaced both springs. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

Door malfunction and stopped working on a snowy Sunday. I called several places on Monday including the person we used five years ago, asking for service asap. We found no one who could attend to us until Thursday including this company. We joined Angie's list and saw that this company had worked someone in on short notice once they knew where they were located. I called again and let them know our location and sure enough, they fit us in on Wednesday on their next trip to the area. They quoted accurrately and also the lowest price for the Torsion Springs to be replaced and did not charge us anything further. They arrived when they soid they would, had the right tools, knew what they were doing, and got the job done promptly. They did a general inspection/tune-up, adjusted bent frames etc. and advised us our rollers were fine and suggested not to replace them. The door malfunctioned again a week or two later, reopening when it was supposed to close. They came over immediately, identified that they had put too heavy a duty spring in for the weight of the door, which though very large, turned out to be lighter than it looked. They replaced the torsion spring with the proper size one. Thirty minutes later everything was working again and even though their was no written warranty they honored their responsibility to get the job done right, and appropriately did not charge us for the adjustment to the original work .

I picked this company off Angie's List, based on the ratings, which held true to form. They explained repairs versus replacement - and they recommended repair - I was impressed with that, as they could have pushed me to buy a new opener - they are honest and fair. They showed me what they were going to do and then did it for a reasonable price. They were about 45 minutes late (thus the B for punctuality), but it had snowed overnight and they called me before the appointed time to let me know they were going to be late and gave me the option to reschedule, which I did not, we went ahead with it and are 100% satisfied. Would use them again in a heartbeat. The repairman was a pro.

This morning I called the company on the recommendation of an Angie's List report. I told the person who answered (Pat) my problem and was told it would be Thursday before a repair person arrived. When I gave the address of our house which is in a neighboring city about 20 miles from the business, Pat saw that they had another repair scheduled in our city for today and asked whether it would be alright for someone to come by this afternoon. We scheduled it for 3:00 pm and arranged for my wife to be home after lunch. The repair person actually came at 2:30 and by 3:00 pm the repair was completed to our full satisfaction.

Robert arrived exactly on time and was very quick. He showed extensive knowledge of his work and was efficient and safe. He went above expectations and inspected and tightened every bolt/nut on the door as well as lubricating all the hinges and bearings.
