We contracted on April 24, 2014 and had to pay an initial $1275.00 payment after contract was written and were guaranteed that the roof would be replaced in June 2014. We were also required to pay another $1275.00 after the roof was removed from my home an taken to the local landfill. They never called and confirmed times/dates and never showed up at all in June. I called the first part of July 2014 and had to leave dozens of messages before a call was ever returned. Then they promised to be at my home on July 16, 2014 at 7:00 am MST to start work. No one came on the 16th. I waited 3 days for them to show. There was no show without any phone calls or explanations as to why they didn't come. Once again, I made many phone calls with no reply until he came by over a week later with the building permit (he never did return my phone calls). He told my husband he would call on that Sunday night and confirm when he would arrive to start work, either Monday or Tuesday morning guaranteed. We waited ANOTHER week and placed several more phone calls to no avail. Finally, after no returned phone calls, he showed up on August 4, 2014 with a very small work crew (2 men). He worked on the 4th through the 7th for only a few hours a day. On August 8, 2014, he said he would work on the roof air conditioner, so my husband disconnected our air (the average temperature here at the time was over 100 degrees!). The air conditioner sat untouched until August 11, 2014 at 6:30 pm MST when he finally fixed the support stand for the roof air conditioning in order for us to continue to have air. On August 8, 2014, we were also supposed to have the supplies for the metal roof delivered and work to begin. He unloaded the materials late that afternoon and then left. No show on August 9th, and only worked for 4 hours on the 10th. August 11-13, they worked late morning until early evening finishing the metal roofing. They finished on the 14th; he came in and asked for his money (another $1500). We gave him the check with the understanding that he would bring a complete, itemized bill and receipt in a couple of days in order to send to insurance for reimbursement. As of today, August 19, 2014, the company has still not delivered the bill and receipt and has not returned any phone calls or messages. I cannot be reimbursed from insurance until I receive this bill and receipt.
Description of Work: Removed old shingles, replaced ten underlying roof boards, put on metal roof and replaced all vent pipes. Put on new flashing and replaced/rebuilt roof air conditioner stand.
