I am a single woman on a limited budget and have saved a long time for this garage. I paid Reese in full upon demand. In fact, I handed him a check at the times he requested. The first check was for cement because he didn't have the money to pay the cement bill (That should have been a warning flag), and the final for completed work. The monolithic pour was not 24X24 it was smaller than 24X24 and not square, two of the four walls bowed out and the cement is chipping on the garage itself. On the apron he was to pour the cement so the water would drain to the West and off. It drains to the East and into my storage shed. The cement is flaking off. On the parking pad he was to pour the cement to drain to the North; instead it drains to the East and flows directly into my car port. The parking pad is cracking all the way across and the gravel base is washing away from under the pad. Now, I have to find the money to have it removed and replaced properly He also failed to obtain a permit from the County to do the work; telling me after the fact that it is my responsibility. When we discussed the project he told me he would get the permit if we needed one but I would have to pay for it. There was a power pole which needed to be moved. He told me he could get it moved by the power company but I would have to pay his men to help the power company. I was there when they moved the pole and his men did nothing. Yet, he charged me for labor for his men to help move the pole. When I called Ron and complained about the drainage problem he brought a bucket, filled it with water, poured in on the cement and watched it drain to the East. His excuse was that the natural grade of the ground made it impossible for him to make it drain other than it does and "see, it drains to the West". I pointed out the fact that the water visually drained to the east and ran off the edge of the apron. He told me there was nothing he could or would do about the entire situation. It is what it is and he can't change it. He also told me he would seal the seams between the various cement pours. To date that has not been done. Under no circumstances would I even consider Reese to do any sort of work for me. He portrays himself to be a professional when in fact he does shoddy work, does not stand behind his work, in my opinion lies, and is not above stealing from a single woman on a limited budget. My best advise to anyone considering hiring him for anything is RUN AWAY and QUICKLY.
