As usual, he hasn't ever paid for it. I finally wrote it off.

This was a major cosmetic remodel of our home and my first choice as a contractor was G & E Home Improvement. I had used their services before for repainting the interior of another home and was extremely pleased with their work at the time. But this project was going to be much more than painting. The proprietor, Gerald Epperle is a full General Contractor and is very fair in his pricing. His crew is conscientious and everyone is professional in every aspect of the remodel. If anything was not up to snuff for my liking, they always made it right. They did a thorough prep of the walls for painting including patching holes in the wall or nails that were coming out of the studs. Any place that needed two coats of paint, they put forth the extra effort and got it done. They ripped up an extremely stubborn and well glued existing floor and laid the new floor after waterproofing areas around sinks and tubs. The major tile work done on the kitchen and bathroom counters turned out great! I had three new outside doors upgraded to oak which was installed with all new trim. The upper kitchen cabinets were too low to install an under the counter microwave, so they raised the cabinets by three inches and installed the microwave. There was also three ceiling fan upgrades and bathroom light upgrades as well. Gerald put in a new kitchen sink and all new faucets in the kitchen and bathrooms. There were other minor items done as well but are just too numerous to mention. All work was done in a thorough and methodical manner. The crew ALWAYS cleaned up at the end of the day. I couldn't be happier with the results of all their work. Now, the not so good side of things. Mr. Epperle is not really good at returning all telephone calls. He will always call you back eventually, just don't expect a return call right away. They aren't really fast in completing their work, but they are really, really thorough. I would rather have it done right than fast and shoddy. The remodel took longer than expected because of material delays which were beyond Mr. Epperle's control and partly my fault. During these material delays he would schedule in other work to fill the crew's time. This is understandable but if there was a delay in completing the fill in work they were delayed in returning to our remodel efforts. Just keep that in mind when scheduling your project. Over all, I am quite, quite happy with G & E Home Improvement's work and will use them again. I highly recommend them.
