drywall
 + -1 moreWe needed to have drywall installed over the cracking plaster in our hallway (aprox. 80 sq ft). Fred's gave us a quote for $300.00 which I thought was a little high for such a small area. I assumed it was because we had requested a smooth surface with no texture to blend in with the rest of the house. I knew this type of finish would take longer and they said it would take 4 days. They finished the job in three days which was fine. The problem is that flaws in drywall are very hard to see untill the surface is finished. After we painted the ceiling I could see every seem in the drywall and several other flaws. The corners meeting the walls were not even taped. I could have done the job better myself.
