Used them because they once had donated glass for my son's science fair project. The vendor came out and measured the windows. He gave correct measurements to Band W guy but Band W guy ordered wrong size. I was not notified of the mistake till after vendor had my windows cut lager to accommodate larger windows! The structure of my mobile home was compromised and seemed to be less important to him than him having to swallow the cost of his mistake. The vendor said he didn't know I hadn't been informed. He said the guy just told him to cut it and that he would pay him the extra to do it. After insisting that they do more for structural support they said okay but they would not be back till Monday to do it. It was to be completed Friday. Over the weekend I told my husband that I couldn't figure the windows out. I just looked at them. I didn't want to compromise the undone job. He knew right away it was because they were not the double hung windows I had ordered!!! I told the Band W guy that he had to fix it. I wanted what I ordered. He became nasty and told me just to find someone else to finish the job. I called Home Depot and they said they only could complete the job if they were just slide-ins. They would have been but Band B cut them!!! I called Band W and told him what Home Depot said and by then he had come to his senses and said he would reorder the double-hung windows. Of course, now he had to order double-hung windows in the bigger size which I said I would not pay the difference for. I showed him the quote that Home Depot had given me and said I was not paying him more than his original quote. I insisted that he replace all the blinds. He was not happy and I was not happy. I can not believe the guy would be sneaky like that. And leave me hanging. I had a horrible vision that I would end up in small claims court. I gave him a depot 08/09/2012 to order the windows and the job was not complete till 10/09/2012. I think this has scared me enough that I will consider the big box stores. If you have an issue there are many resources to get things resolved.

I've used Band W Glass many many times over the years and they always do a great job.

Let me start out by saying I was eager to use B and W Glass since they are a and quot;local, family ownedand quot; business, and I prefer to keep my business local. My home is 1 year old and no longer covered under the builder's warranty. So when I realized that a picture window that was installed was not draining water I asked the builder for the window warranty, in which they referred me to B and W Glass. I called B and W Glass for assistance; they asked me to call one of the installers on is cell, which I did. He promptly called me back and we discussed what was happening (or not) with the window and then scheduled to come out later the same week. The day of our appointment, this gentlemen called to ask what the reason was he was coming out to look at the window. I once again reminded him. He then showed up with another man 10 minutes after our scheduled time. They both seemed nice and promptly went to work on the issue. As I stood behind them, I saw the younger man gesture that he had drilled incorrectly through the window. Yeah, I guess that's one way to make it drain! With water in the window well and the area wet, the older gentlemen that I had been speaking with told me they would need to come back to fix the hole they made and re-punch another weep hole in the window. Honestly, I didn't think it was that big of a deal, so I concurred, Before they left, another appointment was scheduled. Flash forward: Our appointment was today at 4:30 PM. I rushed home from work to meet someone. It is now 6:45 PM and no one has shown up or called. I waited 25 minutes and called the cell number given to me previously, no answer so I left a message. At 5:25 I called the store not expecting someone to answer--a man did. I explained my situation and was told that the person I was speaking of went home for the evening and and quot;if you can't get him on his cell phone then there's no way I can!' Really? Is that how customer service is shown in America now?! WOW, I was stunned. I then asked if he could leave a message, at which point he transferred me to a voice mail. I WILL NOT use this company in the future and am going to solicit the window manufacturer to see if they will allow another company to uphold any warranty work in the future. I'm doubtful, but hopeful.. UPDATE: The gentleman did call the next day, apologized that he forgot to put my appointment on his calendar. I scheduled for the same day, but when I could do it. He didn't show up but sent someone else.
