COLE CUSTOM CABINET INC

In Spring of 2018 we started building our home in Cheyenne. Due to timeline requirements, we had to look for a cabinet maker outside of Cheyenne. After getting referrals from a few contractors in Casper, we reached out to Cole Cabinets. At the time, William and Linda Cole were the owners. They were friendly and responsive. Even so, there were plenty of hiccups along the way. Things we told we were getting were not originally in the price, so the estimate was adjusted after I specifically asked. The cabinets were delivered to us in early fall and we move in November 2019. When everything was delivered, the island was painted the wrong color as well, so that had to be repainted. There was clear email communication showing the correct color. During this time, we were never told that the business was in the process of being sold to their children, Jennifer and Sparky. Once we moved into the house, we started having all sorts of issues with the cabinets. Paint was chipping, there was damage to drawer faces, the wood started to bow on some of the doors, there were dents, and wood began to crack and separate on some of our detail pieces. These are all things that you really start to notice when you have good light and may not have seen on initial delivery. I began reaching out to Cole to ask for help on these issues. This is where the frustration really began. Jennifer continually put me off, didn't return phone calls or emails, blames the issues on me the customer. It was really disappointing to see a subcontractor behave in this way. I will say that the office assistant did really attempt to make things right, but seemed to be stopped by Jennifer in the end. My wife and I feel very cheated and it was a mistake to work with them. We had small issues with other subcontractors on our house after we moved in and they were more than willing to make things right. This is just not the case with Cole. I am only writing this review after 9 months of continued attempts to find a solution with them. I would urge you to find another cabinet maker that is willing to provide better customer service and a more quality product. The process was quite exhausting in the beginning because the communication wasn't there between the sales person and ended up having to have an additional estimate done. Jake came to our home the 2nd time and was AMAZING! He was fast, professional and KNEW WHAT he was doing! We ordered the cabinet specifically with our personal storage needs as well as matching our current 1970's cabinets. The timeframe to get the cabinet was 4 months (We were told 60 days), which was WAY too long but the overall product is PERFECTION, the cabinet matches our kitchen cabinets nicely and it is solid! Its exactly what we wanted and we thought Jake was great. We will definitely do business with them again!

Ordered a custom built walnut vanity for my bathroom. It is beautiful! Craftsmanship is excellent. Worked with me to get a dark finish on the walnut. I also had them make 2 mirror frames to match the vanity. The only drawback was the length of time it took to have the cabinet built. I would definitely use this business again.

We did a complete kitchen remodel. They didn't cut the granite to fit correctly and in one spot burned the granite. They left work unfinished. I had to call Sparky repeatedly and he never returned phone calls. The cabinets were made incorrectly & several things had to be fixed. The stain was applied very messily. And the insides of the cabinets were all pressed wood, CHEAP . The only thing I was happy about was the design. Olivia & Jake were AMAZING! Overall, I was VERY disappointed

The design was perfect. The professionalism and manner of Sparky the owners of Cole's son and also the owner of Wyoming Granite was terrible to deal with. He never returned calls in a timely manner. He cut the granite incorrectly after I specifically told him how I wanted it done. He was never around during installation. All my coordination had to be done through the workers who miscommunicated what I told them. The cabinets were not all WOOD as I thought they were supposed to be. The insides are pressed wood! They did not fill in holes made with staple gun as a real wood worker would have done. Scratches were not repaired as made. Things were done half assed and I had to repeatedly call to get them fixed. If I had to do it all over again I would not use either of these companies. TERRIBLE TO WORK WITH! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Olivia the designer should find another company to work for. She was AWESOME! Her design was perfect!

It was good quality with an excellent price. The workers showed up on time and were very professional.
