They were at my house for 8 1/2 hours cutting this huge tree down. I didn't expect them to get it down in one day but they did and they cleaned up the sawdust from my yard and the debris from my driveway. This tree was not in a convenient place to be removed. They had to haul the wood a distance to their trailers. Was very happy with the work and they are a great group of workers.

Real Tree provided the 1st of 4 quotes that I got for the job and was at least 20% lower. They had good references both on and off Angie's list. When I called to confirm the job, it was scheduled in a matter of days. They worked on Sunday which is not a problem for me, but did ask if it was OK. The job took around 3 days. Lots of sawdust in the yard but that is to be expected. They took special care with my neighbor's property, which had to be used to get the tree down and out. I am very pleased with the job and professionalism of all involved. No issue at all with dealing with me as opposed to my husband. Hate to have to even bring that up, but it is good information in my opinion : )

This is the second time we used Real Tree Tree Service. The work was done quickly and with no damage to the lawn. We are highly satisfied with this company and would not hesitate to recommend there services.

Dave did a great job, once he showed up to do the work. I had to hound him to get an estimate, and then to get the work done. Actual performance of the trimming, Grade A.

He answered the phone on first contact and was very pleasant and professional. However, like with other reviewers, we never heard from him again. He was a no-show for the estimate we had tentatively scheduled for one of the next two days and he didn't call us back to reschedule. We found someone else much more reliable nearby to do the work.

The 3 man crew showed up right on the time agreed, and got right to work. The fallen tree was systematically, and efficiently cut into sections and placed through a wood chipper. Very nice job on getting the stump removed below grade so that all evidence of the stump was removed. Liked their work so much I immediately asked them to take on another two stumps that were left in place after a different tree service removed several trees for me in the past, but left the stumps. Again, a really nice job of removing all evidence of the stumps. I just need to fill in the shallow holes with dirt and grass seed. My mowing will be much easier in the future thanx to these guys. I highly recommend Real Tree Tree Service, and will be hiring them again in the near future for some additional work. All around, a very good experience.

I am very pleased with the company and the work they provided. They were one of 3 quotes and had the lowest price. It took a few days to get the quote and 8 days before they could complete the job, but I was not in any hurry. They completed the work in a couple of hours and even recommended removing 2 additional dead trees that I hadn't noticed. Since they were already here, they only charged an additional $50 over the original quote of $450. The owner reviewed the job after it was complete to make sure the job was done to my satisfaction, which it was. I have already recommended them to some friends.

I had called the first contact number and spoke to an individual about coming out to give me an estimate on trimming some trees and removing some stumps. The provider had a very good rating so I wanted to use one that other people had good experiences with. I travel a lot for my job and usually don't get home until close to 5:00 pm so it's important for someone to be able to work with my schedule and he was. We had set up a date for them to come out and I called him that afternoon to see when he was coming out and he said he was at his family members birthday party which was fine. I didn't want him to skip time with family. After a little while and still no sign I called him a second time and he said he was stuck because of an accident. He said he could still come out or we could reschedule and by this time it was already 8:00pm so I decided that I would call him back and reschedule a day that would be good for me. The following day I call him back at the same number and left a message and asked if he could call me back, but no call was ever returned and I haven't heard from him since.

I was looking for an estimate to trim a tree in my front yard in Charleston. I called the first contact number and talked to a young man who took my number and said he would call back. Three days passed without a return phone call. I called the secondary phone number and talked to a young lady who took my information then said that the Company does not do work in the Charleston area. If you live in the Charleston area and are looking for tree service, don't waste your time with Real Tree Service!

Dave and his crew arrived on time and completed the work in less than one day. They did the work to my husband's instructions, cleaned up the work area, and were very courteous. I would use them if we need additional work done.

Dave is one of the most polite individuals I have met in a long time. He did an awesome job removing the trees and stumps and cleaned up all the mess. I could barely tell the work was done afterward except for the missing trees. His price was very reasonable. I would not hesitate to use his service again or to recommend him to anyone.

Their service as well as their price was very good. They were in and out a lot faster than other people who gave me estimate. They were also very, very good in the clean up phase.

Overall everything was performed with great skill and concerns for safety. Our 80 foot Oak tree was damaged during the June 29, 2012 storm, and almost a third of the tree fell in our back yard during early July during another Thunderstorm. I called several Tree Companies to ask for estimates. One of the companies I called no longer removes trees, but recommended David Young's company, Real Tree Service. I also checked Angie's List to read about our local Tree Service companies. You can even use Coupons from Angie's List for Real Tree Service! David Young's estimate was in the middle range of the 4 quotes I received. I let Mr. Young know that I saw the coupons on Angie's List, and wanted to know if he could give me a Deal as an Angie's List Member too. He kindly said he could give me a Cash Discount. I told him I'd be able to pay cash within a few months, because luckily I had been saving up for now-postponed Kitchen and Home Improvement projects. When we had saved up enough to have the 70+ year-old tree removed safely, David Young was kind to quickly fit us into his schedule, in co-ordination with the rental of the necessary crane. I phoned David Young and sent him a text when I was close to having the payment, and we scheduled the job for Sunday, September 30th. This was the only day that the Mayo Tree Service crane was available. Mr. Mayo stopped by to inspect the site beforehand to make sure that the available crane was big enough to lift large pieces of Oak over our house for removal. Mr. Young, Mr. Mayo and all of the Tree Crew were friendly, polite, and very efficient. David Young and his hard-working Crew arrived shortly before 8:30 AM, and Mr. Mayo arrived with the crane about 20 minutes later. David was high up in the tree sawing away shortly after. It was amazing to see them tie off the huge branches of the tree and swing them over the house to the front yard. Members of the Crew cut up these branches and chipped the smaller parts. Real Tree Service also trimmed several very large logs to leave in my neighbor's back yard for her wood-burning fireplace. My family watched off and on throughout the day, and were in awe of the guys being lifted up, gliding into the top branches by the crane to tie off branches for removal. The guys took a short Lunch Break, and continued until late afternoon/early evening when all that was left was the wide stump cut fairly close to the ground. The Tree Crew were great about raking and clearing up so much of the debris too.

Their price was less than half of a lot of competitors. They were very good, they did great! They cleaned up after themselves and everything. It only took 2 or 3 hours, they were in and out quick.

They responded promptly to my call, and they were here exactly when they said they would be here. They were very considerate of the surrounding areas where the trees where, and they cleaned up very very well. Their price was very reasonable

We needed to have two trees cut down in our yard and one tree trimmed. Mr. Young returned our call the same day and came out the next evening to give us an estimate. The price was reasonable and he was able to come back within a few days to do the work. He did an excellent job. I came home from work and it was as if the trees were never there. They had been completely removed (stump and all). The willow tree that we had trimmed also looked great. There were some weepy, leafy branches left on the tree so that it didn't look so bare. When Mr. Young returned for payment, he was also kind enough to give estimates to my neighbors. Very prompt and professional. Would highly recommend. We were very pleased with the work.

During last year's storms we had a huge oak tree struck twice by lightning, splitting it down the middle. It was critical that we have it removed immediately as it was posing a danger to anyone near. Real Tree Tree Service responded, came out and gave us an estimate before any other service had even returned our call. They returned the next morning, cut the tree down and removed it in one day, taking away all debris when they left. They even accepted an out-of-state check as this is our secondary residence. When we returned, they had removed and treated the stump as agreed leaving no evidence that a tree had every been there. They could have taken advantage of our situation, but I believe charged a fair price for everything that they did in the necessary time frame - especially when compared to comparable services for tree trimming alone..
