Description of Work: We had a break in our water line, running through the front yard. This had happened before, in a different spot, and I had used this same company, and was pleased with their work. However, the second time I called, I was not only disappointed in their work, but absolutely appalled at their insulting response to me. The original cost, for a plumber and helper, had been around $350.00 for around 2.5 hours of work. They located the leak, dug til they found and repaired it, then replaced the dirt. They left with a check in hand that day. On the second occasion, it took several days for work to begin, I was never informed of any updates, etc, and the verbal estimate of around the same price, $350-$400, was not upheld. This employee quoted the same price, but recommended an excavator to dig, and because that was supposed to be faster, he said that it would be around the same price. The excavator dug for approximately 30 min, eventually found the leak, then the plumber started working. The excavator, and helper, stood around for approximately 4 hours, waiting on the plumber, and BILLING ME the whole time. The plumber had to make repeated trips back to the shop, charging me for his inadequate stocking of his truck. I had requested that he bring the bill to me after he was through (the site was several hundred feet from my house). He not only didn't comply with that request, but doctored the copies of work orders that I signed. He didn't want to face me with a cost that was twice what he quoted, knowing that I watched them stand around, and had no idea that was being billed for this. An office worker has responded to my complaint with condescension and insults, all of which are assumptions on her part, as she was not present during the actual disputed time. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. And in telling others of my issues with this company, I have heard other complaints, which I know I cannot list. But I wish everyone would take the time to do so.
