It started out fine with the initial wiring, but when it came time to finish, he never returned my calls to schedule him back. When he finally made it back, he still didn't finish so I had to repeatedly call him again. I was changing ceiling fan down rods from 12" to 24" and kept leaving him messages to find out if he was picking them up since he was at the lighting store frequently or if I needed to. He never responded to my inquiry about them so when he finally did come back out, he didn't have them and neither did I and he was going to install the lights with the 12" rods or not install them at all. Plus he said he never picked that kind of stuff up, but never bothered to call me back to tell. He also belittled me for not knowing what a GFCI outlet was saying I wasn't a responsible homeowner. I kicked him out after that and told him not to come back which probably didn't bother him because he didn't want to be there in the first place. Other workers at my house noticed the smell of alcohol on his breath. His work started out good but deteriorated. The lighting store lady said others had complained about the alcohol smell. He installed some rope lights along my cathedral ceiling that my current electrician said probably wouldn't pass code. A big boxie outlet was installed for the microwave instead of recessing it into the wall and there's a stand alone GFCI in the bathroom that doesn't seem to control anything. My stove exhaust fan, doorbell, and generator were never installed. I would definitely NOT recommend Joe Goode for other work.
