Scott was recommended by a neighbor to stain some composite decking. He came and gave me an estimate for that job, which was fairly reasonable in price. Charged $600 for that job. He did ok on the staining; however, a few places needed an additional coat, which he agreed to do. At the same time he kept talking about what a great "work ethic" he has. Well, he never showed up to work before 11 am or noon, and some days I had to track him down before he would come. My deck remained half stained for two weeks while I waited for him to come back and finish the job. After he finished the staining he did some yard work for me which was TERRIBLE! He dug out shrubbery which was ok but then when he laid sod down it looked awful! He didnt curver the sod or cut it correctly! Brought the sod in a rented uhaul?? This man says he is a landscaper but BEWARE! He obviously has no training in landscaping, but tries to fake you out that he knows what he is doing. I basically had to take spray paint and mark out myself how he needed to align the sod after he screwed it all up. It just got worse. I made the mistake of paying him and then I saw a couple things he needed to finish. He gave me excuse after excuse why he couldn't come back and finish (wife had a "stroke", he had "angina", car broke down, etc). He left a bunch of painting supplies, shovel, etc. inour backyard too for weeks. Since he never came back they belong to us now as recompense for the job he never finished. Worst "Landscaper" EVER!!!! DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN! He has no clue what he is doing - it is a ham and egg operation!
