Didn't have to wait long for an appointment. He was on time. I explained the problem. He found the problem. The leak was fixed. He cleaned up after everything. He was also very pleasant. Made sure I understood everything he did. No problem since.

We always call Robinson's Plumbing, they have always done quality work. This is the 5th time we've used them. The first time was to repair a dryer vent pipe that was not glued correctly and had become a nest for birds. Second was to replace a hot water tank that had rusted out. Third was to fix a copper pipe that had burst in the winter. The fourth time was to repair a leak in the shower drain. Normally just one individual would come out. During this house call, two younger gentlemen arrived at the house. After examining the pipe work, they had to run out and get some parts (odd they wouldn't have a 90 degree 2" PVC elbow in their Plumbing vehicle). However, they came back quickly and got to work. Finished quickly and did an outstanding job. They secured the piple so that there would be no way it would fall again. They would have gotten Straight A's if it wasn't for two minor things (All previous repairs were Straight A repairs). 1) I gave them a B in price because I was charged extra since two employees came out to the house. The repair only took one of them, and I didn't ask for two people, so why was I being charged for two people? I didn't push the issue since the Robinsons have done such great work in the past. 2) I gave them a B in professionalism becasue one of the younger gents had a ton of mud all over his shoes and tracked it all over our house. There were clumps of mud everywhere, plus ground-in mud stains on the stairs (the hardest to clean of all). It took hours just to clean up the mess with a steam vac.

Nick came out and did the estimate and then he and his boss came out on a Saturday to do the work. While it took a little longer than they expected, they workmanship was excellent and we were very satisfied with the end result. The utility closet was transformed into a more usable space that now has bathroom facilities. Nick recommended a upflow toliet that prevented having to bust up the concrete pad. He also recommend a smaller, more efficent water heater. We are looking forward to seeing the savings. I actually just scheduled another appointment for them to come out and do another estimate on a few other smaller projects.

The work that they did so far has been good, but just keeping them here was the problem; they would give me every story in the book about why they had to leave and that they might come back in two to three hours. They would leave on average twice about every day that they came. The job probably wouldn't have taken the four weeks that it did had they stayed here and worked consistently like they were supposed to. They lied to me too as to when they could start. Their punctuality just pulled every other aspect of their work down. They did come fairly quick when I called. They didn't charge by the hour, they charged by the job; had they charged by the hour I couldn't have afforded them to start with.

The commode appeared clogged. I called Robinson and Son because of the reviews I read on Angie's list. The plumber was here within 90 minutes. He was very polite, professional, and explained everything as he went along. He first asked me what the problem was, I explained it wasn't flushing correctly and that I had tried plunging. He examined the commode and tried a hand held auger. When it didn't work, he told me he would try his heavy duty auger. He wheeled in a small machine after he removed my commode. After awhile, he went out to the clean out and after looking at it, told me he would run the auger through the clean out. When he did, he pulled back mud. He explained that it indicated a broken or separated line. He advised me to call the city sewer company to see if it was my responsibility to take care of the problem or theirs. He replaced the commode and cleaned up the mess he had made and apologized for not being able to fix my problem. He wrote a detailed bill. He told me if I found out it was my responsibility to fix the line to call them and they would set up a time to come out and fix it for me. He was very nice, very considerate, and very thorough.

This was a test to find a plumber to do a new bathroom. I interviewed two plumbers by having them each perform a small plumbing task. This plumber installed a new outside water faucet through an existing opening in the basement wall. He was very punctual, arriving the day following the initial call. He was professional and efficient with his time. He was prepared for any contingency. He improved the site by adding some water cement to close a leakage problem and offered advise on another site that would be addressed by the second (test) plumber. He looked at the bathroom (to be) and advised that he would follow up with the owner, who was to get back to me. This has not happened, yet. I had had an earlier outside faucet connected (cost $65) at a more complicated site which cost a third of this cost ($i80). That job was 2 years earlier, was with a handyman that I didn't think was capable of putting in a new bathroom. Plus, the handyman gave me a deal because he was not punctual. He did, however, do a lot more work, having to install more lines to make the connection. Robinson and Son exceeded my expectations of contractors in West Virginia. I am experienced in several states working with contractors. I have found an extreme lack of professionalism in the state of West Virginia when it comes to home building. The second plumber was also very professional, making the selection difficult. I received a telephone call that the third plumber was semi-retired and not interested in a full-blown bathroom re-do.

I think their price is fair. They are very professional. The quality is top notch. I think they are focused on quality and really want to deliver on quality. They are very responsive. They are extremely good communicators. The lady I speak to most frequently in the office is exceedingly good at what she does. I've used many plumbing companies and I think she is exceedingly good at what she does. I think the responsiveness really is superior. Now, responsiveness doesn't mean that they can do what I want immediately. Responsiveness to me means that they keep me in the loop. They answer my questions. If there is a real emergency they can help me and will help. Their responsiveness is top notch. If he says he's going to be here at a certain time he will be here then unless there is extenuating circumstances. And, if they can't be there right on time they give me a call and explain the situation. They are very good at communicating and keeping me in the loop. This company is the most punctual plumbing company I've ever worked with (and I'm in my 70s). I've owned buildings and made use of a lot of plumbers in my time. These people know how to be professional and I think they want to relate to clients and potential customers. They understand that their work is by nature intrusive and sometimes even intimidating and foreign. And, I find the company really, really professional. This is probably the best plumbing company I've ever worked with. I've worked with some good ones but I would say they are probably the best of all. They have been doing work in my 88 year old mother's home, which has needed a lot of care and upkeep. I will definitely continue working with them.

I called them out for the 1st job and they were so prompt, professional, competent, speedy, clean and reasonably priced, that I called them out the next 2 times I needed a plumber and received the same level and quality of service. And I will continue to call them out the next time I need a plumber. I think they answer the phone at their home after hours. They've always responded very quickly to my calls for help. I very highly recommend them. If I didn't, I wouldn't have called them back the 2nd time, much less the 3rd or ever again.

It went very well. The service man came out, we discussed the problem. When we turned on the outside faucet there was a loud noise through out the house. He replaced the valve. This man is the most polite man I have ever met. He recommended that I place a new cut off valve under the house. I talked to him about a hose bib, valve in the garage which always leaked. He replaced that valve also.

The company came to us through our American Home Warranty that we have on the house. They were very prompt and came to the house a few days after we called to schedule the service. They worked quickly but were not sloppy and had all the needed tools and parts to complete the job. They stand beside their work and encouraged us to call them if we experience any more troubles.

They are always very punctual, reasonable in price and very professional. I just love them. They are regular and call us back. Everything's been really good. I was so excited because they came and they said they would do it, and did it. All plumbers are expensive. If I have any more plumbing work, I will use him. The first time he did the work it was around $200 and for the second work, I am still waiting for the bill.

Went very well..Only concern was RSp didn't have all the parts need and had to go to LOWES to get parts they charge for travel time and got charge for him going to lowes

After seeing the company's name, located in my area, I called them to request a plumber. He called me within 15 minutes to say he was on his way! When he arrived, he very quickly assessed the problem and fixed it, leaving my drain flowing more freely than it had in months! He also told me how I could do the same thing myself in the future. I showed him a few other plumbing issues, one of which he gave me an estimate of repairs, and the other telling me how I could fix it myself. He threw in a few more self-help tips, potentially saving me more money! His advice was worth more than the price he charged!

I praise them very highly. The master plumber who gave me an estimate and ended up coming out to do the work was really, really first rate. No plumber has been able to exceed the skills, the clarity, and the professionalism of Robinson & Son Plumbing. I have found their office quite good. The lady who works in the office is young. She is very good at what she does and she gets the paperwork out and done rapidly. She knows when she understands something and when she does not. She knows her strengths and her limits. My experience with Robinson & Son Plumbing equals or exceeds the service I have received by other companies in more populous areas. The estimate that I received was in line with the other ones from the area.
