The fan on the heat pump quit the evening of the hottest day of the year. Noticed the unit was very hot, too hot to touch. So turned off the thermostat and gathered all the fans I could find for the night. The next morning called this gentleman after going through Angie's List and he came within an hour! He checked out the start capacitor, the compressor, and the fan motor and found them all ok. So we turned the system back on and everything worked the way it should. He explained that sometimes an older fan will sieze up due to the heat and the compressor will get overheated and shut off. And when that happens you just have to wait for the compressor to cool down and restart the unit. He told me upfront before he came that it could cost me $200.00 or more depending on what else he found if he had to replace the fan motor which I was fine with. He didn't even charge me a service call fee which he could have and should have, which I offered to pay, but he refused. I would still recommend this guy even if I would have had to pay $200 or whatever it took to get the A/C working because he was prompt, thorough, and courteous,

Our ancient a/c unit gave up the ghost during a heat wave. We called at 8:30 a.m., had an estimate by 10:30 a.m., and our new unit was installed by 5:00 p.m. The service rep was professional and courteous. (We had used this same company 5 years earlier when our ancient furnace died during a cold spell. We had been quite pleased with their responsiveness and service, so we called them back for the a/c.)
